Destiny |OT4| Get your ass to the Vault of Glass and help Timmins find better pants

Some people such as myself want to save them - there is no reason to have it capped at 200. The only thing it does is make it an annoyance.

I think it would be nice for all your characters to also share the reputation levels and vanguard/crucible points. You can do that for inventory and cash, but why not others? Grinding vanguard rep for all 3 of your characters is so painful and pointless...

So is rumble the fastest way to farm crucible rank outside of PVP bounties? Do you get more rep if you win a round? ..because I absolutely suck at PVP and after countless hours of playing I've only won a handful of matches (all game modes)

All I want is some Grim Citizen in my life...

Hey now I agree with you. I am talking about in the future. Destiny is my baby, Its my GOTY but that doesn't mean somethings shouldn't be expected.

Yeah, I agree, but the expectations are clearly skewed too. Destiny is my GOTY too, and I've put more time into this game than any other besides D3 or LoL in the past two years, so I think it's safe to say I've gotten my moneys worth out of it, and there's still plenty to enjoy.

Just have one of your characters be a farmer, you CAN buy gear from the other class vanguards you know. Also you can use the vault to transfer items between your Guardians.

" bungie: We want to give players the chance to tell an awesome story on how they got their weapon/gear"

SO NOW.
People shot for five hours into a cave
Played the same strike 9001 times

This isn't a fun amazing story. Add that to all the caps that are put in place.

Bungie is 100 times better than this.

What happened here?

Dax: because it's the truth at the moment and has a valid place in a forum about destiny I'm not advertising I'm making a point.

lol, talk about a pipe dream. There is no way a matchmade group of randoms could do shit like positioning and coordination, on top of added mechanics that don't involve just shooting.

I've done successful dungeons/raids with randoms in FFXIV. It's not a big deal.

So this but I guess the counter argument is that a cap of 100 VMarks across 3 characters is too little but a cap of 300 would be too much for one. I personally will probably never grind Faction Rep for this reason on my alts or main as I just couldn't be arsed, I'll rely on Vanguard vendors, Xur and RNGesus for my gear.

Finallly level 28!!! Now that I actually meet the criteria, I can finally start playing the nightfall and the vault of glass

I was barely a 27 as of last night. The Queens bounty stuff really helped, since it gave me a legendary helmet (had a rare maxed) and a good chunk of shards from the leftover helmets so I could upgrade my chest

I feel they were forced to release unfinished, things like their comment saying adding grimoire in game would have delayed it screams unfinished product.

Okay. And I think you're wrong, because you can experience every ounce of the game's unique non-raid content in <15 hours, which 2 weeks in isn't a ton of time.

That's about how much you get out of most AAA games these days. This game is meant to be replayed over & over though.

I'm not saying the game is where it needs to be, but there is enough content there that they can keep the day to day flow fresh. There are certain story missions that could easily be added to the Strike playlist with the right modifiers. They also need to add payouts to high level story missions in general.

If the game is lacking so much, why do you continue to play it though?

Talk about apples & oranges. You're talking about a shooter player base that the vast majority have never raided in a game like FF or WoW, it's not a big deal to you because you've played those types of games and know what to expect. I've played Strikes with level 25 people who couldn't stay alive nor kill shit with any kind of efficiency, and you think these people are capable of that??

What happened here?

My guess $500 million and no release in sight led to the axe landing on a lot of content. The game screams 'hack job to ship to me', it hasn't effected the base game much but plot, mission design and audio seems to have been cut (I mean why not hire a VO actor to record the Grimoire dialog?)

And that's why I'm not doing it.

What kind of question is this? It'll be fun for the people with the best gear obvi :p

It's gonna be real fun for people who have the best gear, vanilla WoW PVP style!

The majority of average people are too dumb to be able to coordinate for a raid without dumbing it down to the point of it being just another strike. There's really no way around that, unless you did what Blizzard did, which like I said, in this game, would equate to another boring strike.

I feel they were forced to release unfinished, things like their comment saying adding grimoire in game would have delayed it screams unfinished product.

Has to be this. Or Bungie seriously isn't the Bungie we all remember from Halo.

Also guys this extra content is free
Take that into account
Who's prepped for the hellstorm that will be Iron Banner?

They have the resources to do much better than this.

Pallet swap gear/mission modifiers is not a great first event for a game if this size.

I'm not even that fussed, I'm still enjoying playing, but it being free is no excuse for it being a poor attempt.

The better question is why is the Grimoire not included in the game at all?

Serious question. What for? Are you trying to hold out for rank 3 so you can buy weapons or a shiny new Sparrow? Are you geared out and upgraded to the point where even buying one or two pieces just for some shards isn't worth it? Is there no other primary weapon you'd like to try that might warrant you building a set around bonuses that apply to it?

I'm not trying to be antagonistic, I'm just genuinely curious why saving over 200 marks would be necessary at this point. Do I think the cap should be higher? Probably, I mean that is only 2 weeks of capping out. But I can't think of a reason, personally, to hang onto them at the moment. I have my gear mostly built around a Scout/Sniper combo, but with the Handcannon I snagged last night I'd like to build a whole new set to compliment that.

Now there will be a point, weeks from now, where I have all that I could want and maybe the cap impacts me more directly. I'm just trying to fully understand the frustration.

Core gameplay loop is just that damn good.

Besides. Wanna beat the raid at least, before I walk away until the first expansion.

Haha if you're a debt collector then this use of the term actually makes sense.

That Cabal Mr. Stewart has an outstanding bounty on his account for $3,000, need the help of my fellow guardians to collect. You can get rep with me or your faction of choice. I will throw in 25 glimmer if you complete the bounty.

Yep, just add more incentive to do higher level stuff (strikes/raids/harder story missions) and it will keep the game fresh(er) and hopefully out of the caves. If you're just looking to jump up ranks, it's quicker to boost a cave for 10 min than it is to do a 30+ min strike or run pvp which is completely random.

Incentivize the features you offer so people gravitate towards them. People think the game is stale b/c they're playing the stuff with the highest rewards over and over and avoiding a lot of the rest of the game as a result.

The only real problem with the cap is if you focused on a faction, you haven't spent enough time doing just Vanguard rep to level it up to SPEND the Vanguard Marks you've been making while leveling up your Faction Rep.

It's a legit grievance, albeit the first one in the game that's actually affected me.

For those of you that have completed some of the queens bounties, can you say which ones are easy to go through, I'm terrible at crucible :(

Did you not play Reach? Bungie moved away from balanced MP a long ass time ago, and that's why in order to enjoy the crucible, you have to leave those memories at the door.

Reach and ODST were shit and i didnt play them too much lol. I was referring to the apparent rush job on Destiny, not specifically the multiplayer.

Who here has the Devil You Know hand cannon and do you recommend it from the Vanguard?

I have the Devil you Know and its a MONSTER! I think overall its better than the exotic hand cannon the Thorn. It hits like a freight train and each kill nets you bonus ammo directly into the magazine. DO IT!

I like to hoard currency lol. Also, saving for some weapons when I hit rank 3. I'm ranking both Vanguard and Crucible at once so it's take sometime. Now, I'll have no choice but to just buy armor to shred.
