Greeeeat. I do the queen bounty bullshit and the mission i get is the last fucking mission with the three big ass dicks and there are no checkpoints between them. I can't fucking solo this.

quit. reload until you get the first earth mission. if it doesnt happen keep doing it. you'll eventually get it. I did it twice and got my two legendary gear.

If you're really curious, this would make it extreeeeemely easy to overgear- say hit 28 when you'd only barely have hit 27 without it, having done the same content- and weapons already themselves add significant damage to the benefits of raising your light level. It would legitimately break the game in its current form.

If your equipped weapons had base light like weapons do, I would, right now, be level 29 (I'm 27), and I don't have a legendary/exotic special weapon.

If weapons had Light then Bungie would balance it. You wouldn't over gear because there wouldn't be the same amount of Light on armour if weapons had Light points.

Got a legendary heavy weapon engram from the nightfall strike. Guess what it gave me.

Yep. A legendary machine gun! :D
Run it again! Come on!
Lol no. Not doing it again. I prefer doing the Moon mission we got last week than this one. At least it's not Devil's Lair Nightfall strike bad.

Edit:
*facepalm*
I meant Devil not Deli!

I got the Circle of Bones mission with the Knight and it was easy as well. 4 pops from my Rare sniper on him. Enemy waves weren't difficult either, there were less elites than in the mission on hard for glimmer farm.

Wow at the cap limit of 200. Another dumb as fuck decision by Bungie. They seem really hell bent on preventing as much fun as possible. Despite all the flaws, people were managing to enjoy some parts of the game, but it seems nothing is being done to address the glaring flaws and new ones just keep coming up.

I already "wasted" marks because I hit the 100 vanguard limit before yesterday, but because grinding rep is slow as fuck, I still can't even buy anything with my marks. Such a shitty, convoluted system. Oh I also got my first two legendary engrams and both rolled shit blues so now I am part of that fraternity of fun.
Go take a walk and come back in a few hours. Destiny will be there. You guys stress to much over these things.

Did they fix the mission you get sent on for the Queens Wrath? I managed to go three times to earths first mission earlier today as it is the easiest and quickest, I come back and they keep sending me to mars and venus.

Typically, straight after I post I get immediately thrown into the earth mission, I mean I've been sitting here for a while. Always after I complain about something on here does the universe decided to make me look silly.

Devil's Lair was a motherfucker to do.

You think this week's is harder than last?

yep.

In the earth mission, which once again is the one I recommend doing solo or with other people, the shanks have solar shield and do a decent amount of damage, but with solar damage such as a fusion rifle or a sun bro they won't be as bad.

This is also why the earth mission is so piss easy, on top of being short, as only shanks are shielded. In other missions they typically shield much harder targets, I remember the Xyor strike had every Knight with an arc shield which was basically hell.

the reason I say earth is because it's easy and short as hell. Go to ship, let ghost talk, go to building right next to ship, let ghost talk, go to building nearby, fight mobs and baddie, mission over. They're all super close by from each other and as the ghost is talking you can go to the next area to shorten the time.

It just throws me back into the final mission. Do I have to abandon the mission and get a new bounty?

Maybe it's because you went too far in the mission if you keep choosing queen's mission and it keeps taking you there. You might have to finish this first one then do the earth method. Sorry, don't know what else to tell ya

First game in Crucible after the marks reset and this shit happens.

The one auto rifle I really want.

Damnnn, I'm jealous. That's the one I've had my eye on.

then it's a moot question -_- That would be making it harder to gear up if balanced around those higher breakpoints. If what he was asking was why is the game not balanced around that, I'd say that because it makes it easier to gear up for the raid, and I'm thankful for it.

The Black Garden? You can do it, mate! The cover provided is more than adequate and the enemies plentiful enough to provide some extra ammo, but always bring a couple heavy ammo synthesizers anyway as best practice. Anything with Void damage-- be it your weapons or grenades-- will ding it a bit more than normal.

Because they are more situational than armor and you would want to change them when taking on different kind of enemies.

Why not just level all your situational weapons equally.

If light level is doubling as an overall equipment level, I don't see why you're entire left side equipment doesn't count towards it.

Then again the way level difference works in this game pretty much gets around the weapon issue, though I disagree with the implementatio as it puts so much more focus on your right side than left.

I got right to the end before realising it was fucking bullshit making me beat three of the statues in a row without dying. I quit out, reloaded and it just puts me back at the start of the mission, on mars.

I was getting next to no ammo from enemies and dying before I could get to other cover. Getting flanked by the hobgoblin.

Anyway! Fixed it. Seems it's "bugged"? I decided (as it kept picking the last mission I was in) to launch the very first Earth Mission (story mode, normal difficulty) then quit out and imediately launch the Queens Mission. Planted me right back on Earth but with the mods. GG Bungie. I'm on to you. I can game your system.

If you get melee'd just once in this strike, you dead. And that Fallen Captain has some impressive range with that shotgun of his. One hit from that, you dead as well. Vex snipers are one shot kills as well.

Can't believe I'm asking this but how do I know when I've finished the campaign story?

I thought I saw the end of story cutscene (
received a gun from the traveler or something after killing 3 big robot statues
) but then there were a few more missions "blinking" on Mars. I did those and now no mission icons are blinking on any planet. So... I guess I've seen all the story content?

Yep, missions "blink" when you haven't completed them. Strikes/Raids have a transparent background color if they haven't been played.

Yup, that's the campaign.

You can be like me and pretend the final boss of the game is the final boss of the raid.

Saw that Gaz has the Hard Light, god that's the only weapon I want right now.

Also what's better, machine gun or rockets?

I used to roll with rockets as it isn't hard to get a free kill or two, but machine guns are way better. Heavy Ammo boxes give so much ammo for that thing, it's not uncommon to go on a 5+ kill streak from it alone.

I carry 3 level 19 fusion rifles, one for each element. They melt shields like faces. :D

That's akin to gearscore, yeah? It does function rather differently than that. Light level makes a huge difference at exactly each breakpoint- meaning 26.1 is massively different than being 25.9- and it has a reciprocal impact on the loot you get, not just your capabilities.
Then again the way level difference works in this game pretty much gets around the weapon issue, though I disagree with the implementation.
Which part?

I just wish I could whittle down stuff 5+ levels above me if I wanted to, even if it took an hour. Otherwise I like the way levels compare to one another pretty much throughout.
