Got some Venus Heart mission done with a random that I picked up in the public area.

He got Guard Mask and I got Robes.
And it looks exactlyt he same as I had..except a gold emblem on my robes.
 
Been trying to get one person for the raid for like 30 minutes now in the tower by five people dancing, pointing and sending invites to people but no one will join. : (

Xbox one btw.

Thankfully I did end up linking with some people in a fireteam. We did 2 missions and I got my first legendary drops (helm and chest plate). NOT engrams...but actual equipment, people! It was glorious. Wondering if I can go back for morrrrre.

They can be solo'ed easily especially the shrine of oryx, you just run past everything and small wave which should take less than 5 min and boss goes down with void sniper in couple hits.

And Destiny would be a poor example of that. For WoW, an event is usually one of few things-A set of missions related to an expansion or raid opening(Siege of Orgrimmar comes to mind with the true horde event they had before it), or for an expansion they have events pertaining to the theme(Opening of Dark Portal for BC for example). Or holiday events-For october they have a Dungeon with unique gear for a few weeks, or for valentines day quests themed around it with items and dungeons.

It's just jarring Bungie decided to take that route. Artificially extend a games content by cutting parts of it then just having them in events.
 
Is anyone getting Earth mission for the Quenn's Wrath. All the others are a pain to do solo except the Moon and I've already slogged thru that twice.
 
Hit 27 and am at 91 light now. Should be able to hit 28 soon once I finish farming queen missions for shards!

Once that's done, it will FINALLY be time to try Xyor again. I hate that bastard.
 
My robes look the same as before. Slightly different stats and has the gold queen emblem on it.

Centipede.
But that is twc shitting on me. Looks like we finished just in time.

And I had sometime stuck in a portal with that sound too.

I got it after a dozen orbits. I was level 22 though, and while I could get the boss down to 1/2 health, the minions ended up getting me. Not having a good elemental spread for shields is the pits.

I'll need some higher level help next time :( I want my first legendary!

Ahhhhh ok. I can see that working. Yeah, the bosses were surprisingly easier than the waves of enemies. Hmmm. I may have to try that if I do it again. It's the shields that kept tripping me up. Only had a rocket launher on me at the time so that's how I was dealing void damage.

depends if you have two friends level 26 and above to do it with. Hopefully one is at least 27. There's a way to stay in the spawning room and hide from the shrieker, then attract the enemies to you, then just keep killing those enemies that come into the room until enough die and 3 or so ships come that drop off enemies as Xyor appears in the third one. A bit time consuming as some of the knights and wizards disappear from the room when the shrieker disappears as well, so you have to kill them before this. Hence why having two friends is nice.


But at the end of the day bro it ain't worth it. Thorn sucks so much ding dong. I got a legendary scout rifle and I already replaced it. Thorn is THAT bad.

Got a legendary auto rifle, legendary pulse rifle, and legendary machine gun tonight, all from engrams. I feel like either Bungie tweaked the RNG, or I just got really lucky.

Didn't even bother, it reloads super fucking slow and the dps isn't nearly as good as you'd expect since I went from rare to exotic. My friend and plenty of people here on GAF though have said that the weapon even fully upgraded is easily one of the shittiest exotics as the cool effects it has aren't as good as the description makes it seem.

I was about to break it down but then my friend reminded me that maybe Bungie will fix it later so for now I'll keep it in the vault. Still need an exotic weapon and exotic armor, but the former I should hopefully get at some point during the raid and the latter I'll buy this weekend if it's a helmet or chest. Heck a legendary assault rifle would replace my scout rifle. Scout rifle is nice due to fast reload, but going from handcannon to it is a tad disappointing until I get sight upgrades.
 
How can people say this isn't a loot-driven game? The hell is it then? Level 20-25...nothing but loot. Still don't have anywhere near the amount of reputation or marks needed to buy anything and I'm almost @ 26.

if they plan to buff exotics hopefully they increase red deaths' RoF. it's putting me to sleep.

Although my luck seems to be improving, albeit from nothing to the bare minimum as far as getting loot goes.
