Well the Hotfixed killed any reason I had to play today. Breaking Queens gear was the only motivation I had to do those quests. I don't understand the point of this event now.
 
some of their patch plans sound good and all, but they need to move their asses and get it done.

it didn't take them long to kill the treasure cave and other stuff to slow people down from reaching end-game, so let's go on this other stuff

To me, it's really about how they patched out the only quick way to progress through the end game stuff. Now it's going to take me much longer to get to level 26 and the raid/later strikes. And there's no alternative that gives loot at nearly a similar rate.

Also, if I want to sit there and shoot at a cave for an hour, why can't I do that? If it gives me the best loot, why does the fact that it's not in "their vision" matter at all?

It is a bit of a conundrum, isn't it. I could expound a thousand words on this topic effortlessly, but it's probably outside the scope of this thread.
 
Welp I never really did the cave thing or the Queen's Wraith exploit so I don't feel like i'm losing anything there.

I used auto rifles sometimes and handcannons the other times in PvP, so i'm glad the pistols will be even more superior over Auto Rifles now.

I used shotguns a LOT, and fusion rifles sometimes. I wrecked with fusion rifles as much as I do with shotguns, so if push comes to shove, i'm good with switching over to fusions.


I was so excited to get Invective though :( Well RNGesus isn't exactly blessing me with exotic bounties atm. I literally just turned in a full set of complete bounties at once in hopes that it would get me an exotic bounty maybe but it didn't :(. At level 24

i'm not arguing that it makes sense that other activities don't give better or guaranteed loot, i'm just saying that people acting like the removal of the cave destroyed their only chance of farming for loot are being overly dramatic.
 
That's cool that they are adding some bare bones basic essential voice chat to their game to bring it up to bare minimum standards of online gaming.

They should have just canceled the event to fix it instead of nerfing it to give you fake legendaries.
 
Well we all knew that cave patch was coming, which is completely fine, even though it was kind of fun. However, all of the reasons behind the loot cave's appeal, why they had to patch engram hard wipes, shards from Queen's wrath gear, etc have not been addressed at all. They just effectively made their game shittier, and said, "soon" it might get better. Fuck off.

The game you released is pathetic on conent, we all know this Bungie, stop trying to pretend otherwise. Yet, the majority of us are still really having fun with it! Stop making it a shit grind to hide how small your game is. Let us at least enjoy what is there without shitting in socks.

Same. However, I do think it's worth questioning their decision-making process.

When I bring up D3:Reaper of Souls or Loot 2.0, I guess I'm kinda hoping Bungie, because they're a competent developer, follows suit. However, I have no evidence of that and all I have is faith that this fun game is fixed.

I can say I'm fortunate to have hit a high level already. I'm at the point where I can just do the raid once a week and be content until I'm ready to do the heroic raid. However, getting to that point required getting through level 24, and nothing in the game as it stands currently makes the transition from wearing all blues to purples fun. Granted, the strikes apparently are going to be nerfed so the bosses are less spongey, and that's good. I do wish their prizes were upped. Or something. I don't know.
 
Is there at least a way I can get 24 more shards without it taking like 2 fucking weeks? If not I'm done. Coming home to play this just isn't fun anymore. It's depressing. I'm tired of doing the same story missions over and over again.

Even at Rep Level 2 all the items to buy are GARBAGE
 
Wow. Now I'm really annoyed. I saved up all of the Queen's bounties so I could do them back to back when I got home today. And now you're telling me I can't get shards from them anymore?

There was no other way to get them consistently. And the event is only a week long. What the hell man... Why couldn't they just let this go for a week and let it expire?
 
So the Queens stuff is basically now only for level 24's who don't have a legendary head or chest.
And it's running for a week and a half more.

The farming is gone and hindered in more ways than one, yet the initial problem remains.

I did the same, I'm pissed. Had plans to upgrade some armor tonight after using my tokens...
 
I'm disappointed they didn't address Matchmaking for Heroics and Nightfalls. If they're presumably going to let us finally talk in those missions there's no reason to keep us out of them.

Yeah, the danger would be everyone starts using nothing but Scout Rifles. That just wouldn't be fun.
 
i hope they put out some numbers on the ar nerf and scout rifle buff... i'm hoping that scout rifles just do more non-precision damage

Bungie's philosophy seems to have delved into "just please keep playing the same shit we made over and over. YOU CAN BECOME LEGEND at some point between 40-80 hours of play. Then you can play the fun, unique part of the game with other people who suffered as much as you."

It blows.

Yup, in the same boat, had 4 from yesteday and just did 3 now. Useless. Fucking useless.

Bungie will go down as creating a loot system WORSE than launch Diablo 3.

Blizzard made things better while Bungie seems to be making things worse.

People here keep saying it will be like Diablo 3 but I don't think Bungie has the capability to do so.
 
They should let you disenchant the queens bounty stuff. I get nerfing the cave but come on you are limited anyways on the amount of times you can run the queen stuff.

Precisely. I don't mind the event at all. I think it's beneficial after being convinced.

Dunno what's going to happen once the event is over. Iron Banner? :/
 
Their update is quite encouraging.

They care about their game. They are self-aware of their creation and it's flaws.

I feel confident they WILL fix the mechanics and make constant tweaks.

The only question mark is content.
