WTF @ the scumbags who attacked Dax
On top of that there's a ton of misunderstanding, confusion, or outright false complaints about the way loot and progression function in the game. A lot of that is on Bungie, they fucked up by not laying out progression clearly, but the information is out there, if you care to look for it.
Yeah, but almost everyone knew what they were getting was a hot good when they traded for it.
I had a spread needle. I traded some claw that I had and couldn't equip for it.
But I knew what was up.
I think most of the 'false positives' in that wipe were just grousers or people who traded for hot goods.
Either way, it was the right call by Sega because a loot grind game where everyone has access to all the best loot way too easily isn't much of a game.
You got a Legendary drop from a Legendary EngramGot this from engram, good thing I'm hunter...
...oh wait a second! :b
What if the custom gamesif we had custom games enabled I would forgive Bungie for everything they did wrong.
More confusion and misunderstanding.
You aren't going to get one shot in iron banner if you're lower level. The scaling won't be anywhere near as harsh as it is in pve.
And given that you can get within 2 levels of cap with minimal pain, yeah. Not much reason to panic.
I'm a woman too; they'll be saying they'll do it to me...You mean you don't like random adolescent males telling you what they did/will do to your mother/sister? Can't imagine why...
The question here is:
What is wrong with Bungie?
More confusion and misunderstanding.

That's pretty much been my approach as well. And as long as I enjoy it, I'll keep doing it.All I know is my usual fireteam group has been making steady progress at leveling, and the Queen's Bounty legendaries helped all of us - but we haven't been rushing or farming - just playing strikes and the dailies and doing bounties - because dammit the game is still fun ;p
I'm not sure what Bungie intends as far as gathering materials though - so we've just made a point of picking up what we can whenever we run a strike - when we move between the landing zone and the start of the mission.
You think people doing high level raids are doing it for the random engram drops? Pretty definetively nope.
the Queen's Wraith exploit
I'll miss the cave the most because it was an excellent way to level up weapons.
You should be running missions on the easiest difficulty now. Since it's been confirmed that even a legendary engram can drop from a level 1 there is no point to running heroic missions. Also since the new hotfix today, if you die - your chances of getting an engram drop is lesser. More kills per minute and no deaths = more chance at loot.
Reduced drop rate of engrams following a hard wipe [fixed in 1.0.1.4]
*Clarification: This effect only lasts for a short period of time immediately following a hard wipe

Anyone up for the weekly heroic strike lv. 28 on PS4?
PSN is CrocomirePrime
Preferably level 27's or 28's.
No you aren't. Daily story mission gives ascended mats and can be done on each of your characters. Same for daily public event mail. Same for daily public event completions.
The amount of materials needed to reach level 28 isn't particularly large. Unless you're pushing all your gear to 29 (why?), you don't need a ton of shards.
On top of that, I'm not sure people have realized that higher attack does precisely fuckall for you against enemies of a lower level, it helps if you're fighting higher level enemies.
Or to put it another way, if you're blowing all your energy and shards upgrading all your weapons and armor, you're wasting them for no good reason.
Armor in particular should only be capped if it is either a) raid armor that goes to 30 light or b) you're pushing to hit 29 so you can do the hard mode raid.
Otherwise you can reach 28 reasonably easily (especially easily now that queen is giving you free chest/helm, that means you need a whopping 65 marks or 130 marks to cap out in armor depending on what xur has for you).
Once you're 28 you can do the weekly nightfall easily, and all other existing content outside the hard mode raid without trouble.
If you want to do the hard mode raid right now, then yeah, you're going to have to triple farm dailies and weeklies with three capped characters, but for literally any other content in the game, you do not need to do so (and frankly, doing daily and weekly events on three different classes sounds a hell of a lot more fun to me than farming engrams, ymmv).
The sheer amount of misinformation and FUD being talked in this thread is unreal, I think I'm going to take a hiatus for a few days until things calm down or we get a dedicated gameplay talk thread in community or something.
There's very little point in attempting to ask or answer gameplay questions in the OT when the majority of posts are throwaway rants that we've seen posted literally hundreds of times.

Hell, a lot of the information is right here in linked posts in these threads, but again, it's drowned out by the noise.
Meant strikes. Higher level strikes. My bad.
I guess slowing down is one way to look at it. Personally, 26 and up is a different kind of game from 24-25, 20-24, and leveling from 1-20. At 26, you're given a ton of freedom to do whatever, such as do VoG with a dedicated team. Or you could stick with getting rep, which is now easier due to the nightfall giving 500 a week which is a significant boost coupled with the amount of bounties you get a day.
As someone who's 27-28 (depends on my gear) and who's able to find good people to play with, the game still kinda shows promise. I'm not digging how loot works in general in this game, but at least the Raid is the best PvE content and I made it.
Damn the thread moves fast. Anyone got thoughts on this? :3

Welp this is it, don't think I'll ever do any better than this. Managed to get a 15 kill streak out of that.
Can we not call this an "exploit"?
The game was behaving as they programmed it to. Legendary armor breaks down into ascendant mats. It's not like the Queens missions didn't take time or effort to get through them.
Titan. The game that was canceled by blizzard. Is anyone entirely sure that Destiny isn't the game that Jay Wilson was moved to under Activision?
I'm just asking.
Absolutely no point in doing queens missions now. I already have all legendary gear so all I need is shards. The gear you get from queen marks is terrible as well.
It's not our fault that it really is a small game trying to be big.
Does mark bought gear still disenchant into shards???
Shit I don't even know what to do in this game besides the loot cave.
I'm a woman too; they'll be saying they'll do it to me...
But, in truth, I can just mute and report shitheads. I really am more concerned with the atmosphere of the game changing once it happens. Right now it's a safe haven of sorts and while there are times that I wish I could chat with the really cool guardian who stuck it out in the awful strike when our third ditched us, I imagine that will be short-lived once he calls me a bitch or some shit lol
It sucks to think that there's someone out there who's played this game fervently but hasn't had the same luck. It makes me feel bad for them.

A part of me is glad they nerfed the Queen's rewards, that's one less thing I feel like I need to get done each day (across 3 characters, no less).
Because you do it consistently and it's obnoxious.
I'm sorry, did you say axe to grind with you? Please, that's laughable at best. I come here because this is a hobby for me. I don't hold weird grudges or, in your case, show up to bitch about something because this is the only place where Bungie is the doormat and not me.
That all said, you still just continue to bitch and toss sophomoric insults around. You, like Bungie, have failed to see the root of the problem.

Had my first exotic bounty appear, I chose the thorn.
The damage over time effect for hitting someone sounds good, people might hate the gun but I really enjoy using handcannons right now.
This reminds me of a lot of the early PSO rage when Sega went in and cleaned out everyone's duped items.
Sega had implemented a check for duped weapons and people figured out if you stashed them away in storage you could take them out once you were in an instanced game and use duped weapons.
They hot-patched a fix and deleted all of them and the PSO community went nuts because everyone had these killer weapons and then didn't (Spread Needle was only a prize in a Japan only tournament IIRC, yet everyone was rocking one).
In the long run, it makes for a better game to clear these quick fix cheats. The game that is destiny is based on a long grind to get there, finding a way to exploit it to get stuff quicker isn't in any ones best interest. It might mean the game wasn't for you to begin with, but it's better for the health and economy of Destiny as a whole moving forward.
3 months from now no one would be playing a game where you shot at a cave for 5 hours straight.

Wait, how do you hit 28 without spending a lot on the armor? Specially the "Armor in particular should only be capped if it is either a) raid armor that goes to 30 light or b) you're pushing to hit 29 so you can do the hard mode raid."
I'm currently 27, and that's with all legendaries and a (maxed out) exotic gauntlet. The armor is all 'maxed' but I haven't applied the final defense boosts to them because I need a TON of ascendant materials for each level.
