Anyone running the raid on PSN?
Well, technically, you've paid four months worth of traditional subscription-based "MMO" content. If you get the DLC, even more so.I don't pay $15 a month for this like I would something like WoW... So no I'm gonna have to disagree. I don't expect as much content as a game like that for this reason.
But now you can grind it for the chance of getting armor with two properties you want! *Fun*!Ugh, is this the most unfun patch ever? Queen's gear no longer dropping ascendant shards is crap. Now the whole event seems very pointless.
Oh, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a max cap, since glimmer caps at 25k or something incredibly low like that.I'm not talking about the weekly cap, i'm talking about the maximum cap. I didn't really think about the point caps until now, and if I can't earn more than 200 crucible and cant spend them because I decided to faction cape a bit through the game I am really, really frustrated.
Anyone know for certain? Regardless, these low-ball maximum caps suck so much. If I can't spend the vanguard points but want to do strikes then I am basically wasting my time.
For those not bothered by the constant hampering of progression, how would you feel if a single player game was arbitrarily locked so you couldn't proceed further before certain unlocking dates because they wanted to avoid you beating it, selling it and not buying the forthcoming DLC? Because that's exactly what Bungie is doing.
That's how analogies work.....
It really doesn't matter if one is more significant to life or not. Im not saying killing off farming is bad because starvation is bad. I'm saying both use the same terrible logic to fixing a similar type of problem (Doing one bad thing to avoid an even worse thing)

Woke up to the patch, very disappointed.
The Cave I can understand, but nerfing the shards off Queens rewards? WTF?
Bungie has no idea what they are doing at this point.
I don't know, actually. You have to buy WoW and the expansions do you not? Plus the $15 a month?

Price doesn't matter when it comes to "is this fun?" We aren't asking if Destiny is worth $60. We're asking does Destiny handle its loot and progression correctly. It has an MMO style loot system, but there is not anything close to an MMO amount of content? Is there even a satisfying amount of content for the time required to progress? If there isn't enough content to make an MMO style of progress work, why use it? My conclusion is to slow progression so people are still playing when the DLC releases.I don't pay $15 a month for this like I would something like WoW... So no I'm gonna have to disagree. Would you say Eureka Seven AO has a better story than Destiny?Writers should be named and shamed. The writing in the Mass Effect 3 ending was better.

Traditional subscription-based MMO's still cost $50-60 bucks and you get the first month free... so that doesn't fit either.
yup the doorway yields more frequent blues and Legendarys for me so far than the cave. always has. glad it's still here.Glad to see that Crota is still working.
I see. So would a helmet or chest piece do?
You can cheese the minotaur as well if your group isn't able to burn him fast enough. Have two people stay on the ledge burning the boss while the third just kites the minotaur around. No other minotaur will spawn and as long as the one kiting the minotaur doesn't stray too far from the cave the minotaur will just ignore the 2 shooting the boss. With solar and void weapons and cheesing the boss fight, probably. But you need to have void weapons to burn minotaur shields and solar to take advantage of crazy high solar damage this week.
There are plenty of F2P MMOs with more content than destiny.
Guild of Wars 2 was $60 upfront and no subscription. There aren't many MMOs that use a traditional model nowadays.
Really, dude? Ashamed of what? Ashamed that sometimes the writing process gets affected by outside forces?
You're being ridiculous, and you're being really unfair to the writers of Destiny, one of which I know.

There was literally an awkward silence when my friends and I finished the atrocity that was the "little light" exchange on Venus. I recoiled at how any functioning adult thinks that was acceptable. The overall story might be butchered by outside influence, but the line-to-line dialogue is inexcusable. I didn't think it was going to get any worse than W_D this year, and boy was I wrong.Really, dude? Ashamed of what? Ashamed that sometimes the writing process gets affected by outside forces?

Hah, I will say, ME3's ending is better because it made me feel ANY emotion whatsoever. Something that just didn't happen at any point during the UNSKIPPABLE cutscenes in Destiny.Mass Effect 3's ending was worst because I actually cared about the characters being affected. Destiny didn't have the background set-up to make me care about anything. At all.
Not even Dinklebot.
Can anyone sum up all the recent news? I did some googling but mostly finding patch notes for the Queens Wrath stuff

So what?
Queen's Wrath Event
Material rewards for dismantling Queen's Wrath gear will no longer provide ascendant materials, but missions will continue to drop Legendary items
