Wait, how did Bungie nerf the Queen shit? This thread is moving too fast for me, someone explain.
I thought it was that right now you take a shot and a 5 second timer starts. Only once that timer stops can a shot start the DoT again, which sucks tremendously, and that there's no refresh at all now.
But that ship, those shaders and emblems.

That's fine. My 2 alternate characters are now wearing a Queen's chest and helmet. Their previous equipment exists only as a part of my shard horde. Not even mad.

That's right! I was just going to up my personal story review score has been bumped from 2 to a 7 since it was revealed that the Reef Queen is actually an amazing character. I used to(a day ago) empathize with her completely, her problems were my own. She was so well written and a wit to boot! Damn you Bungie, back to a 2!
Yeah but you could buy those packs much cheaper for consumables. When you spend all the credits it took you a week to earn to buy a premium pack no one wanted a consumable lol

This was the first ingame 'event' the game has had aside from Xur on the weekends.
For all intents and purposes, it wasn't thought through enough and came with shoddy planning for reasons already mentioned in posts before this one. If someone thinks the queen gear looks good, then that's fine, but it really says something when your temporary event is nerfed because people are apparently leveling too fast.
I understand the cave getting nerfed and Xur getting the buyable Strange Coin removed, but this is the oddest thing.

Just do the daily story at 28 and find a public event and get gold on it. Guaranteed 3 there per day.
You could drive around finding loot chests, but that's boring as hell unless you have a weapon/armor upgrade ready to go and you need the mats.

Oh, is there a cap on shards per day from public events? Currently level 26 and need some shards to break through to 27-28. Luckily I got my first exotic weapon bounty today.

Reasonable summary of Destiny as a whole. So many puzzling design choices. I wonder if Crucible will give the game staying power once the rest of the fall slate arrives.

Seems like the whole event was poorly thought out. They should not have removed shards from dismantling. The rewards should have just been a little less frequent to obtain or the number of shards received reduced, but not zero. It's very poor design to make a special exception for a particular class of items to behave differently in the game than what players have already been conditioned to expect. Fix the event structure already.

Anyway I really wanted that Titan helm he had last week
I don't expect to see it again anytime soon and I just need to level up anyway I can Armor is the only way to do it

No cap that I'm aware of for public events. You're just guaranteed to get one in the mail for getting gold for the day. After that, it's a coin flip if you'll get a reward as soon as the public event is done and you were successful.

That's happened to me too. Helps if you can at least grab one person in case you do get dc'd since you can join back in. At least Nexus is really short.
