Warlock Helm this time from the Exotic Engram. Last time I got an Hunter chest piece. I play a Titan but maybe I should start playing my Warlock (the Helm looks very nice).

If I buy that engram and it gives me anything other than my class idk what I'll do. Honestly. So it's probably best I not do it at all. 1/3 fucking chance. I really don't understand this game.

Spend your Glimmer on Heavy Weapon Ammo packs from the Gunsmith, they're very handy for the Raid.

Have you read my guide by any chance? By 25 you could have easily raised your Vanguard rank to 2+ :(

Actually, though, the best way for you to gear up right now will be to do Queen's Wrath missions. You can get at least either a legendary helm or chest very easily. Let me know if you need more information on how to do this.
 
Guys which should I pick for my Warlock?

Should I buy that Exotic Helmet or should I try to get enough strange coins to get the Auto Rifle? I only have 16 coins so far so I need 7 more.

Any advice?

(Sadly that helmet doesn't give Intellect. Damn it :(.

My level is 28 and I never grind in this game. (Except material farming)

Level up your reputation by doing bounty, daily, weekly and get purple leg and arm.

You can get head and body from queen's wrath.

Exotic from Xur.

You should be 26-27 after upgrade every item without using any ascendent material.
 
i really wouldn't drop 23 coins on a weapon abot to be nerfed but that's just me

Hawkain please tell me there is another way to get 8 more coins in a legit matter I already done the weekly for 9
 
Suros is amazing. Wish I had owned it this whole time so I'd have it fully upgraded by now, rather than getting it when I'm about to shelve the game until the DLC hits. Instead I have Bad Juju almost topped out. :-/

I'm so glad I passed up on the rocket launcher last week, that thing was amazing but I gambled on saving my spare coins for this week. Allowed me to have just enough for the Suros. I still can't believe it actually showed up.

Straneg Coins are a bit fickle, friend!
  • Weekly Nightfall (20% chance for 6-9)
  • Public Events
  • Crucible Reward
  • Strike Reward
  • Blue or better engram decryption
  • Chests
They're all rare drops, but 8 coins in 48 hours isn't out of the question. I'd make sure to do the nightfall if you haven't, then split time between crucible, public events and chest runs

This would have been fine if the majority of the drops actually are useful for your specific class as well. As it stands now, most of the drops you get are either A) Absolutely pointless since it is a weaker version or B) Not for your class.

I know Bungie are not idiots so they have to fix this sort a thing. Grinding for dozens of hours without anything to show for it will quickly make a lot of gamers hop onto other games and eventually forget about this one.
 
Not that I'm complaining about Xur or Queen's Wrath but I'm kind of baffled at how gearing up is supposed to work in this game, it's like a combination of luck and weird vendors.

What? You can get that in like 10 games or less if you're good. I just have a problem with having to do pvp and pve. I'd rather just stick with PVE tbh.
 
I got Atheon's Epilogue from the raid this week but I really want the SUROS :( Not a big fan of the HRF/low impact ARs but its so damn good in PVE(and PVP on the smaller maps). Can anyone who has both tell me how they stack up against each other and if it's worth putting in the time to get 23 coins?

just got my first exotic ever, bought from xur because i finally had enough coin. And it was the chest piece i've been wanting ever since i saw it in a screen pre game release. Also upgraded my helmet fully and some on the shoulders, very close to hitting 27. My goals are more of the queens bounties and missions and maybe sometime soon joining in on a raid. I have 13 strange coins left which i will save for next weeks armor or if i have enough by then possibly the weapon. Also one mote away from being able to buy the engram which i think i'm going to do even if it isn't for a titan, cause fuck it'll be a thrilling 1/3 chance and i got nothing else i feel like buying with motes right now.

what is so good about the gun? I thought the rebalanced some guns
 
This game drags me back in no matter what I say or do. I am addicted to this game despite its problems. I enjoy the Crucible with friends way too much to ever trade this in or shelf it permanently.

Only need 5 more coins for the exotic auto rifle from Xur, luckily I still have the weekly heroic strike to knock off so I'll be doing that this afternoon.

Also, Hawkian I gotta say I really do admire the effort you put in with the community. I have never played with the GAF Guild Wars 2 guild but I've lurked the OT over there and your efforts there are damn fine as well. Feel free to add me on PSN: LordHoag, I'd be glad to shoot some aliens with ya some time.

So looking forward to getting home now. That Suros is mine! If I didn't have 23 coins I would probably buy it with real money if that was an option.
