Destiny |OT5| New patch out Tues., Master Rahool reportedly crying into his robes

It does matter. It does the same damage as the slow firing Ar and but fires faster with no recoil.

Once people unlock the upgrade to decrease the fire rate, but increased damaged (the damage won't matter in normal Crucible since everything is normalized), the weapon will likely lose to a Shingen or Galahad, even a hand cannon.

Again, damage does not matter in normal Crucible. If you want stats to matter, you play in the Iron Banner in October to see how strong your gear really is against other players. IB is going to be a blood bath, I'm sure of it.

I always aim for the head and consistently get headshots. But slower FR always loses out to faster FR if they aim for head too. Slightly more dmg does jack against guys with equal skill.

My experience in "SlowAR Vs. FastAR" duels makes me disagree with you on this one and I'm one using slow AR's in PvP. Sure if we both stand still and unload I most likely will lose, but that isn't realistic gameplay situation.

Slow firing AR's do really well in PvP, in my experience, and you don't need Shingen or Galahad to do well.

23 Motes I think.
Shit, only have 20

I would probably do better if my SUROS did more dmg. It's 242 fully upgraded. Only 12 more than Galahad-E. So not that much of a difference. I'm assuming you're using a better AR? Cuz I can tell you I lost a lot last night to faster FR AR dudes in 1v1. (We were not standing still, we were strafing etc)

Can you run the raid multiple times a week FR boss rewards? Is it just the chests that you can only get once per week?

Many thanks.

Got the suros regime and the exotic engram.
Exotic engram turns into a helm of saint. By decrypting the exotic engram i reach cryptarch level 17 and one of the rewards is a god of war shader.

Now i have too many weapons and armor.

Yep, I've been rocking the Suros since two weeks ago and been using it primarily in PVP with great results. Can't complain about the slow firing rate, it actually helps me manage better headshots and that's how I beat Shingen and Galahad users most of the time.

I am happy to they are addressing the autorifle range, it was upsetting to get beat out long range even when I get off 3 head shots. To the point I changed over to an autorifle my and or my hand cannon.

Another mind-boggling decision by bungie.

Is nothing sacred?

The exotics are the best weapon in the game. But can simply be purchased by waiting a week or two.

Yeah but some exotics are... exotic and very rare.

Nope.... everyone have a Suros Regime.

What's Xur gonna have next week? Patience and Time ?

Dat end game planning.

So my exotic bounty has me purchase something from xur as step 2 but I have to find a gun in a chest on mars first. Anyone done this yet? If so, any tips, and how long does it generally take?

You're a rational human in a thread filled with passionate, emotional people making posts out of frustration. I admire your perseverance to make this thread into a community of people who understand, appreciate and want to continue playing the game until they individually burn out on its mechanics. For me, complaining about a game is the easy part; making suggestions for rational, well thought out changes to a game is much more difficult. In life it's always easier to tear down something than it is to build it up into something better.
someone ate a big old bowl of "getting it." this means a ton, thank you. truth be told, I've been through this before with the other gaming community I'm a big part of on GAF- and it's only knowing that it's possible that keeps me reassured it's worth the effort. Destiny is already a bigger game in less than three weeks, and that can be very intimidating, especially when actual, legit vitriol is thrown Bungie's way. but we'll be good. :)

Agreed about the spacebeard conspiracy.
Yea man, wtf I I am almost level 28 and I have only like 6 drops so far.
If only I could do something else with them... I don't want him touching them >_<

I guess it varies from person to person, RNG and all.

1. Go into Mars Patrol

2. Head straight from landing point until you find "Vex Vs. Cabal" battle

3. Chests spawn into and on top of Cabal buildings and corridors + into cave at Vex side of this small clearing

4. Run that area around in circle until profit :)

Dat end game planning.

Thats my concern with this game.

I'm enjoying the shit out of it right now.

But what about the future? The game has been out two weeks and I'm a level 29 with 4 exotics.

WTF. I'll have my armor/weapons maxed in another week. Then what? Keep trying to "collect 'em all" ?

No thanks.

Has someone listed what Xur has this weekend? If not, can you? I'm on the verge of having enough strange coins and will be able to play tomorrow and Sunday for sure!

also, can we put Xur products on layaway?
:)

What sort of goodies does Xur have this weekend?

Xur's Stock
Crest of Alpha Lupi - Titan Chest - 13 Strange Coins
Knucklehead Radar - Hunter Helm - 13 Strange Coins
Apotheosis Veil - Warlock Helm - 13 Strange Coins
Suros Regime - Auto Rifle - 23 Strange Coins
Exotic Engram - Helm - 23 Motes of Light

Notes:
  • If you're replacing an upgraded Legendary piece, DO NOT DISMANTLE IT. Eventually you may have multiple exotic armor pieces to switch between as the situation demands. You'll want your legendary to switch back to in these cases.
  • The Engram slot is, obviously, a random roll for armor type. Helms this week.
  • The Bounty step to advance Super Good Advice requires 1 Strange Coin; take this into account before any purchases.
  • Any week that you do not want anything from Xur's stock may feel disappointing when you are looking at it. However, this also means that you'll have a seed of at least 9 coins for the next time, and thus greater purchasing power when he does have one or more things you want. Eventually, simply "passing" on Xur's stock will be the easiest way to accrue strange coins.

How is the apotheosis veil for a sun singer? If I primarily use the super with theresurrection talent, is the extra health just wasted?

It sounds like it would be kind of terrible. It gives you full health after activating special it sounds like, which you get anyways with the respawn ability.

It seems like that helmet is for voidwalkers more.

Visited Xur.. Saving my coins this week (sitting on 36 atm).. Bought an engram, it rolled me an exotic helmet, which I broke down.. Till next week.

Need help GAF, so should I buy Suros Regime, or stick with this, fully upgraded one?

Yeap nothing to me.

I compared the stats and upgrades of Sure Regime and nothing will make it better than my Hard Light.

I will stay with it.

How's about a video with location + inventory for this weekend?

Thanks guys.

I can't decide if I want to buy a helm (I already have gauntlets) or just save up. If I opt to buy a second exotic piece, I'll need to get a pair of Legendary Gauntlets again...

Hmm, are you sure about that? Right now my Suros is doing 34ish damage per headshot in PvP, definitely 30 something, but I've seen videos of it with the slower fire rate and it does 42 damage per headshot. That's what I'm stuck trying to decide now. If it's better to keep the faster fire rate with 30 damage or the slower with 40.

For now I'm pretty sure i'll go ahead with the upgrades.

Thanks. Suros Regime is too pricey for me. I'll check the stats to check tho. I might just grab an armor depending on stats as well.
