Restores Health on Super < basically every other unique exotic upgrade ever.

Yeah, I noticed how it's nowhere as useful as the sunbreakers and not as cool either.

I think that exotic's just there to help people level up. I still haven't gotten a raid headpiece yet, but I already have exotic arms and raid chest and legs.
 
It's such a pain in the ass trying to get to the boss when trying to solo nightfall. Got the first minotaur part and had a shit load of goblins come from behind and they slaughtered me before I could throw out my bubble shield. Couldn't bring myself to start all over.

If anyone is looking to do the Nightfall strike hit me up at Xbl Xzilerate (Xbox One). Once we get to the boss it'll be cake as there's a certain spot you can get where neither the adds or the boss can hit you and you can shoot the boss. Just need help getting there. ):

My "loot cave" is an area in venus with lots of fallen. I go there when i have the 200 fallen headshots, 20 super kills bounties, etc. Just circle around spawns killing stuff non stop, doing patrols, opening chests and doing the ocasional public event. When i'm done i usually have a few engrams.
 
Hmm Level 28 heroic weekly strike to get more coins... I'm at 27. This should be fun as my friends are 27 and lower.

You know that big cliff just before the final boss where you have to jump down? stay up there for the entire duration of the boss battle.
 
So does the Xur Warlock Helm suck this week? I'd like to get to level 28 to make soloing the daily/weekly/nightfall stuff easier but I don't want a shitty exotic. Might just get the Suros even though I have a fully upgraded scout legendary.

People complain about this one way too many times while not understanding it.

It's your total ratio. If you had a 1 KDR in a match, keep doing that 25 times in a row and you'll pass the bounty.

I think the bounty is messed up. It's more like kills - deaths > 25

I did it in 3 matches and I am horrible.
 
They could easily address farming buy just making mobs drop gear equivalent to their level.

1-20 for some uncommon and common drops 20+ for rare and legendary.

Its so strange it already works kind of like this (can't get legendary drops till you are 20+) but then they drop from everything encouraging you to farm trash mobs.

They can't do this. If they did, think about how much content you lose. With that system you would effectively only have Mars to play on.

About how people completed hard mode and got no extra rewards for it. That is some aggravating bullshit.


This is the one thing about the reward and loot system that needs to change. It's running completely against the vision Bungie had for their loot in their vidocs. They said something along the lines of "When you see someone weilding so and so awesome weapon you will know what they did to get it" But that all falls apart when its all fucking RNG. Instead, one person weilding the Hawkmoon Handcannon can say he got it after completing the super hard Nightfall strike while another person can say a level 8 thrall dropped a legendary engram which turned into an exotic, and another person can say umm I got in last place in the crucible but I got this sweet exotic!

I agree that loot should be random, that's what makes it somewhat exciting. But it can't be COMPLETLEY random. I believe it should be tiered, and that sometimes you should be guaranteed to get a drop or reward for doing something amazing.

Here's how it should work. Enemy level/difficulty should play a role. I think its absurd I can kill a level 28 axis minotaur as a level 26/27 and get nothing or a green loot, but then I can also kill a level 8 acolyte and be randomly given a legendary.

Above a certain level enemies should be dropping only blues with a chance at a purple. The harder the enemy, the more chance they will drop the loot. This is because hard enemies are rare, and it helps prevent people from farming low level adds. I also think that if you kill an enemy that is above your level that chance should increase as it is more challenging. Bosses should also guarantee a drop. Most likely blue with a chance at purple if they are a high level boss.



I think some of the harder tiers of activities should guarantee a pre-set pool of awesome weapons. Kind of like Nightfall, it guarantees you legendary or an exotic. There should be a few weapons in that pool that are SPECIFIC for Nightfall. Maybe even for the nightfall version of a specific strike. So you get a unique weapon that when people see it they will know you completed nightfall to get it. Or they will ask you where and you can tell an awesome story. These weapons or armors will be EXCLUSIVE to that activity.

Kind of like how there is exclusive loot within the Vault of Glass. It just needs to be more guaranteed. And hard mode should get you even more exclusives.

I kinda rambled on so I hope you get my point, but tl;dr loot should drop based on the level of the enemies, give higher chances for harder enemies, guarantee EXCLUSIVE loot for the harder challenges in the game. But within those guarantee pools of loot what you get is random.

Oh and Crucible performance should absolutely up your chances.

Granted, this week's nightfall is piss easy compared to the previous two (especially the first one in devil's lair).

You guys might be able to make it, but being too low is detrimental.

Speaking op Sunbreakers, does it affect all grenade types or only Solar Grenade? I use Firebolt Grenade.
 
Already have that Exotic Titan Chest Piece (amazing btw), but holy crap, been wanting the Suros Regime for ages! Thank you Xur!
 
I really regret selecting the first upgrade on the Suros, it was an absolute monster in crucible before...not so much now ;/

Still viable but I wish I had held off until I unlocked most of the upgrades already

Agreed on both those fronts. Not sure if you saw my other comment but I'm out of town for the weekend so can't join in on the fun until Monday.

I'll be ready to roll on the reset though so let's link up and get it all done before Xur shows up again next weekend.

Last night me and a friend got 80% of our team's kills to win the Clash battle. The other four had terrible KDRs. The bottom 4 all got Rares or rare currencies. We got nothing as the top two...
 
23 coins, was a bit torn between getting Suros our the Apotheosis Veil. A primary weapon is the only place I'm still stuck at blue, but I'm not really a fan of auto rifles and I already have Gjallhorn (or whatever it's called). With the Veil, I already have Sunbreakers but I figure this would be good for Voidwalker.

Ended up getting the Veil, regenerating health upon activating super can allow me to get a lot more aggressive. Also still haven't gotten my 9 coins from the weekly so maybe I'll double dip this week.

Yeah. I did it in two rumbles by going on a kill streak in both. Radiance + sticky grenades + shotguns + overshield = lol

Dude, I so get your point that it hurts. There's so many missteps with the late game content as far as loot I don't know if this stuff was ever thought out properly.

I got two fucking raid sniper rifles. Two of the same gun while the rest of my fireteam got jack shit outside of ascendant shards. I got the sniper rifle the week before. This RNG stuff has to go for the hard content of the game.
 
Anyone know if engrams are determined at the time of drop or at the time of identification?

I was thinking of just keeping all my purple engrams until the change. My luck has been terrible. Out of 30 purple engrams, 2 of them were legendary... boots. Rarely got any ass. shards/engery out of them too.

I don't think that'd be a problem. Make it so that only level 20+ bosses in strikes drop purples. You'd have people strike farming, then, instead of loot cave farming, which is probably much closer to Bungie's intentions for gameplay.
 
Had 37 Strange Coins so I managed to pick up both the Exotic Helm and AR. Bought the Exotic Engram and got yet another Exotic Hunter Helm.

Can I trade this with someone please? I have 3 Hunter Exotic pieces sitting in the vault. ;__;

I'm saving my Coins this week in the hope that Xur offers Invective as his exotic weapon next week, or even better, an exotic sniper.
 
How does the Grim Citizen compare to the Shadow Price? Would compare myself but I'm at work and I keep seeing the GC Ben f thrown around here in comparison to the Suros.
