Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there....with a legendary!

damn, didn't work

did you at least get a hot tub and cute girl from apartment 5B?

Question time. Once i was on the moon farming some helium coils. Inside a building i saw something glowing orange. Looked like helium coils. Got closer and held square but it disappeared before i could get it.
Same thing happened yesterday in venus. But the thing had a blue glow. Disappeared before i could reach it.

What is it? I was wondering if it's the collectables being despawned. But the one i saw in venus was inside a building too and 0spirit bloom doesn't spawn indoors.
It means somebody looted it recently, it disappears soon after. That's why it is glowing. Loot it before it does.

So how does the Suros regime compare to the Shadow price? I was thinking of just saving my coins and hoping a nice lmg shows up next week.

I'd like to get some opinions on Shadow Price, too. Just hit Vanguard rank 2 with 100 coins so I'm getting there soon. I have exactly 0 strange coins so Suros Regime is not an option for me. :(

Not really happy with only being able to equip one exotic armor weapon. I almost don't want to upgrade my exotic helm now that I could get something else next week.

At this point shards are harder to get than great non raid gear.

Only reason I'm doing bad juju exotic weapon bounty is so I can make it turn into shards.

Man, two exotic bounties taking up my slots. :(
Tempted to give one up.

Damn, what level are you?

28 with all legendary and exotic weapons/gear, but that isn't what allowed me to beat it. What allowed me to beat it is when I got to the boss I got into a spot where neither the boss or adds could hit me while I could shoot them. Took me about 20 minutes to beat the boss. Getting there was a bitch though.

Now that I'm about halfway through level 27 and have done Vault of Glass, I'm a little more concerned about the game's longevity than I was before. I don't see how it's really going to have longevity unless they find a way to slow peoples' progression through content. Of course, the problem with that is that there's just not that much content to begin with, and slowing the progression will leave people with nothing to do.

I've played MMOs for a long time, and it's not that uncommon to have a day or two where you've nothing to do. You're waiting for lockouts to expire, or for your group's scheduled raid time to happen, or whatever, but the difference is that in those games you can still log on and CHAT with people. You can ask if anyone needs help with anything without breaking immersion and going on some website. Or you can go camp some rare monster spawn, or farm for money, or whatever. You can't really do any of that in Destiny.

Everyone said Vault of Glass was going to be soooooo hard, the greatest challenge in video games ever, and yet it was beaten within 10 hours of release. Why? Because there's no lockouts! Someone who cleared the raid can just go do it again with a different group. Back in the days of WoW / Burning Crusade, bosses would go WEEKS without being beaten. Hell, sometimes a raid would be released and it would take months of work and continuous effort because an entire group could even *enter* the raid. They understood longevity. Of course if you just say people can enter it over and over for 24 hours straight until they beat it, people are going to win.

But Destiny doesn't even have enough content to implement proper lockouts like this, because it's literally the only thing to do in the game. If you're locked out what else are you going to do? From the expansion pack roadmap it looks like we're going to get one new raid every 3 months. Not fast enough, if most hardcore players are going to have them beaten within a week of their release.

At this point I don't even think the loot system is the biggest problem. It's that there's no breadth of content. They need to release like 3-4 new raids per expansion. The requirements to enter the raids need to be more complex than "click this location on the map". I remember one time in WoW after one guild got a world first on Illidan, it took THREE WEEKS before the world second came. That's how you design a raid.

After about 27, it starts feeling bleak. You can already beat the game, it's just a matter of increasing your number a few more times.

Bad Juju will be buffed, at least wait for the results.

You won't get shards if you dismantle weapons afaik.

I am! I was just coming in here to see if I can find a group for the Nightfall strike.

My gamertag is Truelize

Oh so erm.. I didn't realise how quick the mission was and accidentally ended it :L

I'll make it up to you in a lil bit and help with nightfall if you want? My food is nearly ready.

You didn't touch on how VoG has a terrible loot table, if it can be called that.

On top of that, you get no marks at all. You'd think every boss/event would drop marks for people to buy more legendaries so they could get better prepared for the raid. You know, kind of like marks in WoW or commendations in TOR.

I'm not digging this idea of each expansion having only one raid.

On a side note, unfair to the Microsoft platform, the two Exotics that Playstation players have a chance to get happen to also be among the two best weapons in the game. I actually think Hawkmoon and Monte Carlo are probably the two best weapons in their class, though Hard Light and Suros Regime could be considered their respective best in class weapons too.
I have Monte Carlo and I don't think it's the best auto rifle I've used. Why do you think it is?
Looking at Xur's current setup, I'd buy the Suros Regime if you already have a piece of exotic armor

About to get a group going to do Weekly Strike and possibly also Nightfall.

We're a team of lvl 27 hunter and titan, and another lvl 26 hunter. Will Nightfall be doable for us? I don't think any of us have tried it before.

(Also stupid question maybe, but Nightfall is also 3 players right?)

No worries. I'm hanging out for most of the day.
I need more people on my Xbox friends list to play through these higher level strikes. Been waiting for the friends on my list to level up for the raid and ... well they taken too long. :)

What's your gamertag?

Xbox? Level 27 (almost 28) Hunter here.

I have two Legendary engrams, should I just save them until Bungie does whatever they plan to do?

I'm 3 for 3 on purple turning into purple though. I should roll with that luck. :)

Yeah, I saw something about the special spot. I can't get to the boss just yet however. Need to get another 2 levels it seems.

Because he can't have it... when you can't have something it looks better.

IMO I still think Hard Light is the best AR in the game.

That chest is useless for most pvp modes outside of heavy ammo capacity. You drop more orbs too I guess. Not a great pick for your exotic armor piece imo.

Depends on what your doing. Crucible? Yeah not that great, but the chest piece has a boat load of intellect on it. I picked it up, paired it with some other intellect heavy gear, and have a 89% effective rate on my super cooldown. Combine that with the Defender titan's ability to decrease super cooldown and a helmet I just snagged that increases the super energy I receive from killing the mobs and I should be a shield poppin' machine for the raid. Not to mention the chest piece will help me revive allies faster. The fact that you also generate more light in general also seems to help offset the low light output of the defender class. It's really more geared for the defender class with a very specific style of play. If that's what your looking for though, it's amazing.

If you play it right, that chest piece should be killer for the raid/high level vanguard runs.

Here is a question, when will the cryptarch ever sell something other than white engrams? What is the point of leveling him up if all he offers on occasion is a green?

Unrelated, but lol I just realized you're fireclad and now I'm picturing you getting that void assault rifle while making an expression similar to your avatar's dolphin.

I'm only 24.5 right now, but I'm already worried about this. The first expansion is coming in December--are we getting any new content at this point?

Once you've hit 20, you've essentially had the opportunity to play the entire game, outside of the raid. You can play the same maps/missions with different difficulties, but I personally don't consider that "content".

lolwut

You get no marks from the raid?

The point is the extra engrams that are sent to you via the post master when he levels.
