Call me a negative nancy, but for a game such as Destiny, the weekly update feels like Bungie is pretending to be obsequious by telling us they're working on it and that they're harsh on themselves. While this is true, I'd much prefer them to be honest about the faults. I've yet to see them acknowledge how the loot system in the game needs revamping.

Would you say it pairs better with Encore for the ability to NEVER STOP CHOPPING or the hungry blade thing for a not-quite-as-lengthy-but-health-everywhere sort of deal?

I find blade dancing too short without encore right now, but might shoot for this helmet if it means the health shenanigans are worth taking.

Can't say from experience, but if you have other toons, you absolutely should be able to get the strange coins on them separate from your others for doing the heroic strike.

I feel like all the work went into the game / website integration. Which don't get me wrong, it's honestly impressive as fuck, and I say that having worked on an online game before. Going to a website, change your clan, and then instantly in game your clan updates, that's crazy shit. And that's the right thing to do if you're actually planning for your game to be a 10 year franchise or whatever. But you need content too. I know MMOs are never finished, and there will be a constant stream of new content for the game, even if that content comes in the form of paid expansion packs. I'm fine with paying for expansion packs. But the people who are most likely to stick around for the whole 10 years are the hardcore, and you're going to lose all the hardcore if they finish all the content you release after 2 weeks, and then have to wait another 10 weeks for one measly raid that they will clear within a week.

They need more raids, and raid progression. You shouldn't be able to just go enter every single raid as much as you want the second it's released.
 
If the marks are capped at 200 I just noticed, and have been losing alot. I was saving them for uncertainty.

And the Suros upgrades are wrong?

More predictable recoil.
Slight boosts to range and Impact.
More recoil.

Predictable and more sound contradictory.
And the bars show LESS range.

The raid is what all the strikes are building up to. VoG is the PvE challenge the game wants you to work toward, but you get no marks at all. You don't even get reputation.

Gothalion released a video about the patch recently and it was mostly positive, but he (correctly) finds it unbelievable for a game to be in development for so long, to have time to observe other MMOs, to have so many resources, and have such a mishandled loot system.

I could be wrong but I think they said in that dev post yesterday that loot was being worked on for a future update
 
Anyone else have a hard time choosing if they wanted to upgrade their legendary gear or not? I keep thinking that maybe I'll find an exotic or a better looking legendary piece that I'd want to switch it with after I already upgraded it.

Is there a picture list of legendary and exotic armor somewhere?

Pairs very nicely with Encore. Like cheese and crackers.
 
If anyone can help me tonight do a couple of the queens missions and maybe a couple strikes at around 10:30 PM central time on the One it would be greatly appreciated.

Lemme start by saying I am addicted to this game, for better or worse.

I completely agree with you that this is a major fuck up on their part. They monitor this thread/website among many others. It would do them a lot of good to just say "we fucked some things up badly and we are working on them. Please stick with us, we appreciate you adopting the game early on and will do our best to make amends."

That's really all they have to say right now. Just a quick mea culpa. They have to of course follow up on it but I'm pretty sure we understand it won't happen overnight.

I still really want to complete a raid just once, but it's tough being a family man to find time and people to coordinate it all with.

Is there a group attempting Sunday that's already completed it and needs another Sunsinger Warlock Level 27 on PS4?

If anyone has a solid group that just needs another guy (or two as I know one other person) please send me a PM here or on PSN on when you'll be doing a raid so I can try to be on that time.

Shit, I like that.

So they're comparable. Basically it's a better Shadow Price, while at least with the Shadow Price, you can equip another exotic weapon like Invective, Thunderlord, or Gjallarhorn.
