Time for FORKSMASH VOL.2. I am playing every character online in 1v1 For Glory mode, each time against a new person. Here is the first row. I'm the first character listed.

Donkey Kong vs. Little Mac

Little Mac kept spamming his down throw. Note to self: spam down throw as Little Mac. DK's moves have a lot of start up so it's hard to time it right. I got the first KO and it's pretty even the second time around, but Mac's punches are just too much, and it's too easy to punish DK after a missed attack. Don't you hate it when you get the first KO but still lose? I DO. Winner: Little Mac

Diddy Kong vs. Yoshi

Holy shit I am terrible with Diddy Kong. It's like Yoshi knew everything I would do and countered it perfectly. He killed me when he had 28% health. TWENTY EIGHT. I couldn't even kill him at all. Put Yoshi in the nerf pile. Winner: Yoshi

Link vs. Captain Falcon

Finally, a character I actually know how to use. I kept my distance, but I still get tossed in the air way too much and eat a knee. I THOUGHT THEY NERFED THAT THING. I could not get a fucking hit in to save my life. I was airborne so often I could have founded Skyloft while I was up there. I killed him once but eventually die to Falcon's now overpowered uppercut. HOLY FUCK CAN I WIN A MATCH PLEASE GOD. Winner: Captain Falcon

Zelda vs. Kirby

Pro Zelda strategy: Spam Din's Fire. It actually has a pretty incredible knockback if the opponent is airborne. I dominated the entire match and Kirby could do nothing. I did teleport off the stage and kill myself but let's ignore that. Winner: Zelda

Sheik vs. Ike

I chose AMERICA SHEIK and had the power of freedom behind me. It was a classic match of speed vs. power. Sheik's finesse vs. Ike's.... whatever the fuck Ike does. I don't think there's a French word for it. I hammered on him early in the match and it was my 20% vs. his 80%. This looked like an easy match until I realized I was fighting Ike and get killed by an innovative A,A,A combo and side smash. I had to be crafty with needles and grenades in order to maintain some balance and actually killed him with a teleport (after botching it three times earlier BUT STILL). We're both pretty cautious on our last life and got each other to 100%. I decided to up my air game (oh yeah, there are air attacks in this game). There are some close calls, but I manage to knock him far off enough so he can't recover and Aether's to his doom. Winner: Sheik

Ganondorf vs. Ganondorf

I really didn't expect the first doppelganger match to be Ganondorf. This was easily the most baffling match yet. This guy clearly knows and loves Gdorf. I got me up to 100% and KO'd me when he was at 0%. I DIDN'T EVEN TOUCH HIM WHY GOD. I actually got some offense in the second time, but this wasn't his first Ganon rodeo and crushed me again. Winner: Enemy Ganondorf

Toon Link vs. Ganondorf

THIS HAS TO BE A WORLD RECORD FOR GANONDORFS. I danced around him fairly easily, but Dorf's moves can be a bit unpredictable when it comes to hitboxes. I got a perfect aerial attack to finish him off for the first KO. He quickly meteor smashes me back through timelines to even it up. The second stock is much closer, but after getting wrecked by a previous Ganondorf I was a bit better at defending. Winner: Toon Link

Samus vs. Mario

Someone tell me how I'm supposed to win against Mario as Samus, the person with the slowest projectiles of all time. I don't even want to explain how I lost my last stock. Winner: Mario

Zero Suit Samus vs. Charizard

This is the only time Charizard actually outsped ZSS. I felt like I couldn't do anything. He knew everything I would do and always knew how to counter it. This fucker was EV trained and maybe hacked. WHAT IS HAPPENING. Winner: Charizard

Forksmash record: 6-12. Not exactly going so well. I was above .500 online before this experiment. I really feel like I am the one making mistakes and whiffing attacks and they are just punishing me for it. It's still a good experience to try everyone online and seeing how people play.

Omega stages are disappointing, because I wish they had platforms :( Not even battlefield clones, but a variety of formations of stationary platforms.
I still can't believe this. Throwing a couple platforms on them would have been great. It would have really increased the variety, not to mention Battlefield/anything with a platform is better than FD

As it stands there are only like 3-4 neutral stages. I hope the WiiU version fixes this

oh man it must suck to have a score of <1000

everyone what's your score right now, if you've imported the game

You have a different score for each and every mode and I dont know how to find your score in online mode

Also your score is not your rank, but rather the amount of people whose score is lower than yours. So if you have a score of 500k, it means you're better than that many people

I know that, that's why I said it would suck to have a score less than 1000

The beetle is really slow and you can escape by mashing. Plus when it does work it's hilarious.

I was so relieved when I actually saw one, because I thought it was an instant KO. Same with the Boss Galagas; I didn't want to hate the best Character Items!

Won't be home until around 7pm next Friday because I have my Law classes, but when I get home, damn I'm gonna up all night.

Anyone here get hyrule warriors today? Cave and got a copy myself. Heard there is some type of link sharing or something between friends?

Less than a week to go, can't wait! If I want to play against you guys, do we all have to exchange friend codes or can we make GAF lobbies? I haven't been following the OT that closely.

We have a list with everyone's friend codes, but due to the silliness of Nintendo's 3DS friend system, it's awkward at best. There's a limit of 100 friends, so you can't just add everyone on GAF, and there's no community options, so we can't just have GAF lobbies like Mario Kart or Mario Golf.

Hopefully the Wii U version adds these features.

Question for those with the game and can play with friends online. In the main Friends section, does it show the Miis of people already in the room? And I've seen an L and R button prompt in the friends room listing, what does it do?

There is no community lobbies feature from what I've read. There is a Google Doc with FCs being shared.

A shame, I'll just add my friend code to the list than. How do you edit that Google Doc?
