Ehh, I think I am about to shelf this game. I'm level 25 so the only missions worth doing now are Vault of Glass and the level 28 strike that I have no chance of beating. Whatpisses me off is that it doesn't match make for these super hard 3-6 player missions like it does the strikes. What the fuck is up with that? Forcing you to try and recruit a fire team on Tower is a pain in the ass, and none of my friends are strong enough to help me with these quests.

Anyway I did get a legendary rocket launcher from a legendary engram yesterday while playing through the queens mission by myself, it's pretty bad ass. How do I get more of those shards so I can upgrade my legendary armor, should I just play through the final mission again? Also what the hell are those coins for?

I had them all redeemed. Don't remember if I had them all in my bag at the time though. I might have. Would explain it. Wouldn't explain how I didn't get it on my Hunter though who only had like 3 emblems.

Yeah, that I don't know. Obviously my experience isn't enough to say for certain but it certainly seemed to be the case. Every other Golden Chest that I opened ended up being the same loot that others have gotten in the same number order (i.e. Chest 1= X, Chest 2= Y, etc..) regardless of which specific chest was opened. So it seems like the order rather than the specific chest determines what you'll actually get.

Question DGAF - is there a best faction for each class? I am a warlock and currently doing crucible for the fun, and using my regular warlock bond which levels your warlock advisor whatever lady (at the back of the hall behind crucible right?)

But is there a better faction like dead orbit for each class ? i have heard each faction has different stats on gear....

It's not with regard to class- just playstyle. Decide if you like melee attacks/grenades/frequent supers mosts, and build around that...

Think its more personal preference, if you want a lower CD on your special and grenade, go with Future War Cult. If you want a lower CD on your grenade and melee, go with Dead Orbit. If you want a lower CD on your special and melee, go with New Monarchy.

Yeah, was doing it for a bounty and saw the emblem thing so figured I'd give it a try. Definitely no improvement there, but will continue testing and hopefully people will figure out if there's anything at all to these emblems. Seems cruel to make them expensive and called "blessings" without having any effect.

Alas, I am not myself directly working for Bungie; but multiple people I know work on the dev team (one is a good friend from HS who I helped out when he moved out here; the other is a friend from out here in Seattle). So just going to go poke them and point them towards your guides, and see if maybe I can use that as leverage to get something. Bungie's pretty good about rewarding their community.

One of the mods here knows me in RL from FGC stuff (Shouta); fwiw. I can't promise anything, but I know they have been on the lookout for good post level 20 guidance (cuz they are now painfully aware of the lack of guidance the game itself has) - so am hoping I can steer them towards the guides here and go from there.

Something is definitely going on--I feel like they scrambled the times or something. Mothyard at the top of the hour has not given a public event for me for some time now.

I don't like to nitpick people's writing - it's harder than it looks - but the Bungie Weekly Updates are kind of a chore to read with Deej's style.

Timeframes are tricky things. Those are dangerous promises to make. We know all too well that some of you forget none of what we say. What we can say right now is that we talk about you every day at Bungie. We listen to you more than you might think, and there are plans we can’t disclose fully yet that will change your experience as a Guardian.

Also, it’s a safe bet that you’ll have something new to read here very soon. I make that bet because I’m editing it.

"We're already putting the finishing touches on the next update and it will be out pretty soon" would do it. As is we have to read between the lines of two paragraphs of fluff to get to the information. The entire update reads like this and I find myself often skimming it to find the point of a section.

I have a final guide underway on getting all the way to 29, it should be posted today. I um, just the idea of Bungie seeing/approving of my guides at all is humbling.
