Is there any way to figure out how much light a fully upgraded version of a helmet will have, by just looking at the base one? I'm looking at the exotic Apothesis Veil helmet in Xur's shop today and can afford it, but it only has 21 light right now at the default level (2 less than my current helmet).

God I hope I get the helmet next week otherwise 30 is impossible.
I also got my 4th exotic bounty right after I finished my other two yesterday. Some serious luck there. Fortunately I had the machine gun as a choice as its the only weapon slot where I am lacking legendaries and exotics.

I experimented with turning in a number of bounties simultaneously. Eventually I just turned in 5 bounties at once and the exotic bounty missive popped up.

Well yeah I've been hearing that. I just want to know like what exactly your situation was like when you were awarded it. Did you randomly walk up to the bounty/package guy and get it? Had you just turned in completed bounties?
Aren't they account bound?
All exotic armor caps at 30 Light rating. Normal legendaries will cap at 27 Light, and raid legendaries will cap at 30 like exotics. The first upgrade in the final column of armor upgrades only rewards 1 Light, the rest reward 2 Light.

That's been my goal lately. I've been trying to turn in a full set of bounties all at once. I did it yesterday and got my faction up to level 2 in the process. The guy above believes that you have to have a faction at level 2 to get it, so hopefully this next set of bounties I turn in awards me with one.

Does that include Vanguard and Crucible? My Van rank is 2 but that's it; still got an exotic bounty though.

i don't think the statistical advantage applies to any weapon outside of shotguns and fusion rifles. the gap is really that small man
As a hand cannon user myself (and owner of two Hawkmoons), I recommend the Lord High Fixer instead, which you can buy from the Crucible vendor. The recoil pattern is much more manageable, 11 shots, with both ammo capacity and speed reload upgrades (pick one), and active radar available while aiming down the sights. This is my go-to in PvE and PvP and I destroy everything with it.

Account, not character. You can most definitely do the weekly Strike on each character and get 27 coins and then put them in the Vault.

Anyone think that a level 23 warlock can solo the queens mission? I'm wondering if I should try it or wait for another piece of gear

The Queen event is including way more levels now. Did the stupid recharge the eye mission on Mars and it took me half an hour and I got the stupid fucking robes again. Can't even break it down anymore

That feel when you and your friend have 35 kills and endless captures each with teammates all on 5 kills and hardly any caps and you lose in the last few seconds
