It sounds way more impressive than it actually is, once you have a solar weapon and know the spot to camp (post 9101) it's really easy.

Got a lucky raid chest drop while replaying the raid. Thank god for that. Not a single other person got anything though. They should really increase the drop rate for that stuff.

Can more than one person fit into the spot for the Nexus boss? I've only done it solo but I wouldn't mind going for the Nightfall later. Seems like it'd be tough for a Hunter to get up there also.

Fuck Nightfall. Even trying to do what that video shows, the minions that you have to kill before the boss hows up keep wiping us out. This is my second group of Gaffers tonight, we're not fairing any better than the first.

If you're trying to solo these, I found that it's much easier to just run past everything you possibly can. Then just snipe the boss.

It's a shame I'll have to use marks to buy an actual legendary heavy weapon. I'm pouring in exotics and legendaries, but I've never possessed a legendary heavy...

My 18 purples/4 blues, according to Orthogonal, had a ~27% "hit" rate for the good stuff re: engrams. That's within the margin of error for the "expected" rate of tested ones at my small sample size, indicating that the Emblem didn't have a notable effect on the decrypt rate.
however, as well all now know, equipping the Blessing of the Gifted MAKES ALL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE and you can't really put a price on that.

As a Hunter I could get into both spots featured in the top google results for "Destiny nexus solo" (the tippity top one and the one a little left of spawn). Little left of spawn one was a bit tricky but you can double jump after a little running start from the rocky slope and get up there. The tippity top one requires some good platforming and double jumping so as not to fall but both are possible though I found the tippity top one rubbish (boss could see me and shoot me I couldn't get a good look/aim at the boss). I prefer the one left of spawn in the hiding spot there.

I'd say the legendary engrams came from 20% random drops from unassuming mobs while out on patrol, 20% from strike rewards, 30% from pvp rewards, and 30% from mobs during weekly heroic/weekly nightfall strikes.
I fully accept that I have used up all the RNG luck I have ever, ever, had. This is a day when I pray at the altar of RNGesus and remember his potency, even though I know in my heart I cannot rely upon his guidance all the days of my life.

I heard if you upgrade the queen's thing once, it will dismantle into a shard. Is this true?
In the director navigation screen the bars for vanguard and crucible fill up.
If you go into orbit and look at the crucible and strike playlist options they have a meter that fills up showing how close you are to the cap. To know exactly you probably just have to remember how many you had and then look at you inventory.

Did anyone actually test this attack power doesn't do shit nonsense?
Because right now I hit a lvl 19 Psion for 512 damage with a scout rifle and right after upgrading the 2nd Psion got hit for 539 damage.
My light level right now is 27, and even ignoring that the base lvl is 20. These lower level enemies are taking more damage now.

what are you referring to?
last week during the raid i did it once with monte carlo at 267 and once at 300. i did more damage when it was maxed at 300. guaranteed.

Do you get anything if you kill Atheon again? Like do the raid over again, would i get a reward or no?
All anecdotal, but I tried equipping the Blessing of the Gifted tonight and have had a VERY noticeable increase in green and blue drops. Obviously 4-6 hours with it isn't enough to reach any hard conclusions, but it's been significant enough for me where unless you really need the motes for something else I'd recommend people buying it. Certainly doesn't hurt.

Hmm, should I buy the Titan Exotic BP? I don't think I'll be able to get 6 strange coins to get that exotic auto rifle. I already have the Titan Exotic helm from last week but its more for a Striker, could swap to the BP when I switch to defender.

What's your distance? Range falloff is pretty granular. It's been tested heavily.
