Destiny |OT5| New patch out Tues., Master Rahool reportedly crying into his robes

Try it on Rumble. It took me about 2.5 hours and I'm not great at pvp. It's just easier to get a better k/d in free-for-all.

Yeah I've been playing nothing but rumble and I think that's what's hurting me. I'm just rushing towards everyone with no teamwork and getting <1 K/D ratio. I prefer to use my main gun but no void on that one :(

Just try to forget about it and let it happen over time. That's what I did with the "Complete 25 Strikes" Bad Juju requirement. It took me a week of normal play (I'm more of a PvP guy), but it happened!

I may just have to do that.

Anyone got a good map where the public events are on the moon and what times?

Also where is the best place to find helium fragments?

Circle around Archer's Line, then to Anchor of Light, and then Hellmouth. Check all the small buildings and caves for chests and pick up any that you see on the ground along the way.

Is Bad Juju any good?
I haven't completed the other requirements for the bounty yet, so I don't know. I've heard it's bad, but Bungie said they're going to give it a buff at some point. I hope it ends up good because pulse rifles are my favorite, and I'd love to get a really good one.

So i can't progress pass level 20 until i get better Armor? But i can't buy better armor until i reach Vanguard level 2? And the only want to gain Vanguard levels is to do Vanguard bounties?

Do i have this right? because it sounds tedious.
If you just play whatever sounds fun to you, you'll get armor that will boost your level pretty quickly. Then you'll plateau at level 24 iirc, and then you'll need to get legendary / exotic armor to go farther than that.

As soon as you hit 20, you will start to get drops with Light on them. Do some Strikes etc and the gear will drop.

I ran around like a mad man with a shotgun. Also used grenades, sniper rifle and melee, but majority was Rumble + Shotty.

3 more rumble wins. I love this gun. Ya'll can keep your Suros pffffffft. Have to admit it, knowing that my targets see "killed by Hawkian/with Hawkmoon" on their death screen is a little arousing.

I like Angry Joe a lot and he's generally fairly insightful too. I'm always entertained by his reviews. He made plenty of good points about Destiny. Everything he said about the narrative, plot, and characterization were completely accurate (and hilarious).

That said, he got a few things flat out wrong, and a little misleading otherwise. I was really disappointed in this, and he didn't even rectify any of them in the post-review discussion.
  • He fell 100% into the trap of playing it "like Diablo," etc. Made zero mention of the various currencies (Marks/Coins/Motes).
  • On one clip interspersed, he showed a friend of his completing a tough Nightfall, then RAGING because he got 11 Ascendant Shards instead of a legendary item ("Fuck this game, 0/10, I'm fucking done"). 11 Ascendant shards is a GREAT roll and lets you update the endgame gear you care about. there's a huge chance that a legendary/exotic you get from a roll could be useless to you, shards are always useful
  • The raid is like a throwaway mention. "Good luck getting in to this." Angry Joe has a massive army of fans to help him gear up and form a raid group :-[ Just felt like he was being a little impatient?
There was one other minor thing he got completely inaccurate, but it factors heavily into one of my Tips for an upcoming post and I need to do a little more research, so I can't spoil it :>

So, do emblems really have hidden attributes or is that just all conjecture? Because I'm this closing to buying Blessing of the Gifted.

Is Bad Juju any good?

Once you get String of Curses it's really awesome for fighting just regular trash mobs. If you get a decent sized cluster you can clear them out without ever needing to reload.

It's not super terrible on bosses but the shallow magazine makes it to where you spend too much time reloading. And in PVP it doesn't really stand a chance against auto rifles.

I'm really curious to see what becomes of Bad Juju once it's buffed though. If they up it's magazine size and its impact it could become a force.

You can check reddit.com/r/destinythegame for more updates, but last I checked, someone farmed for two hours with one of them (supposedly increases engrams) and saw no difference at all in the results. You can check again to see if something else popped up if you like, though.

Did raid first time, one shotted each encounter/phase except couple of wipes on maze part. Was 4 of regular players/friends and 2 randoms from Destiny LFG. I got shader and boots, plus shards. Some people got 2-3 pieces + a weapon (couple got this Void Damage Auto rifle). One guy in group was so unlucky that he got only shards from whole raid.

I thought it would be more challanging. Also only 2 bosses is too little for raid, come on, should have been at least 4-6.

Looking at the VO credits for this list and Jeez this game has a packed cast.

Was the idea that they wanted to have every character voiced by a amazing and well known voice actor but could only justify the cost by having the actors in the booth for 15 minutes each and just do a run though of a page of generic dialogue?

But they couldn't afford decent French voice actors...

What's the reasoning for not being able to invite people from in game? It seems insane to me.

What? You can - go to pause menu, friends, press A (on Xbox, X on PS) and "Invite to Fireteam". If it's a random in Strike - focus them, press options/menu, and you can also invite them. It's actually handy, if they join your Fireteam and you boot them, they will be booted from Matchmaking. Comes handy for people leeching in Strikes and shit.

To everyone I talked to about raiding in 15 minutes...I can't invite, or send request, I can't invite to party chat...not sure what to do.

I'm going to recommend disbanding the idea. Hopefully something gets sorted out with this shit eventually and some of us can run together.

Sorry, my post wasn't clear at all, I meant by user name, people that weren't on your friends list etc.

You are making me want to get the Hawkmoon instead of Hard Light, damn you.

My only real competition on the scoreboards in these Rumble matches has been cleaning up with the Stranger's Rifle. Is it actually good in PvP?

on the second two points -
i really can't disagree because its a common sentiment built by almost completely unexplained things in the game

and the clan breakdown is inexcusable. especially from bungie. you can't talk about this grand idea of social ties then do the entire base a disservice by offering a comically inept clan service

It's as good as the person using it, I think any weapon can be good in the right hands. If someone loves that rifle and figured out how to use it effectively, more power to 'em!

about the shards? I just think that not understanding something is a crappy excuse for getting mad about it. my argument goes no further than that. I've already seen people in these OTs upset that they got a legendary for rewards from Nightfall, because they already had one in that slot and it'll only break down into 2 or 3 shards.

the clan implementation is fucking godawful (doesn't exist); i'm saying Joe painted "not being able to get into the raid" as a major part of his experience and we know that's misleading. He won't have any trouble getting a group together, the other 5 slots will be filled in 20 seconds if he asked on stream.
