But... Zaheer... knows the spirit world so well he can teleport (even Korra can't do that). Unless he learned in a day he's entered the spirit world before he received air bending.

I would say bending is tied to the spiritual world and spirituality is everything. Every one has spiritual powers but it's mostly just meditating and what not and those more naturally tuned with it can astral project, enter the spirit world, etc.

It can't be air since Iroh was able to enter the spirit world without being an air bender so it's not directly an air trait, it's possible study and meditation of the air nomads boosts their spirituality as they seem to focus the most on it (that's why the Guru is a spiritual being but not a bender).

So there's overlap but they're independent from each other.

Thing is, you can be spiritual and not have bending. I'm not saying spirtuality itself gives bending. I think you need the power + spirtuality. So someone that can bend who isn't spirtual won't have as strong of a power as someone that is. Someone with bending that has their spirtual energy cut off loses the ability to bend even if they have the ability.

Pointing towards Zaheers plot is problematic as it was rushed and underdeveloped.

But I can accept that chi and spirtuality energy is separate. That bending requires physical energy. It still doesn't explain how turtles can magically give people genetic changes to do it if we are arguing bending is physical and not spirtual. Whereas at least you can say it's spirtual (ie magic). I find it harder to do this if we are arguing it's purely physical. Just me though.

But fuck it, never ending debate with no end in sight. I'll just accept its fuckin magic even if I think they did its magic argument poorly. Because it really is confusing even on a surface level.

I don't really understand either, sure the games don't look nearly as good as the naruto games. But I'm more interested in the gameplay then the looks of it. Plus for a budget 15$ game it will probably be fun.

Then again, if you're expecting a high budget game like the storm series for a series that only has a fraction of the popularity then you are sorely mistaken.

But now I want a game with Book 4 Korra. Maybe the short hair will be a skin.

or perhaps, an haircut DLC.

What? I think it looks fine, its fully embracing the comic style. What do you people want?
Griddy, brownish WW2 Call of Korra?
Eh looks pretty weak compare to other much more beautiful cell-shaded games (pretty much mostly the environment that looks so dull and bland, oh hell the game overall looks a bit dull and bland), but well it a downloadable game, so it alright.

Well, I already loved XIII, maybe I have lower standards regarding the look, but I can totally live with it.

I am probably a bit spoiled by Prince of Persia 2008 espeically where I lost how many times I stopped to look around.XD I kind of a sucker for these type of styles.

But again with Korra being a downloadable title, it most likely doesn't have the budget to create graphics like Prince of Persia or Naruto, so whatever, it works.

Maybe in a second game. We need to throw money at it like no tomorrow, maybe the world of Avatar will live in form of video games.

Nice Asami artwork
She looks amazing <3

I'm really lttp because I had to work all day yesterday but I finally got around to seeing the Balance trailer. So Kuvira's actually evil then, huh?

My thoughts:
She's most likely a mole working for the Red Lotus. Fits in with what Zuko/The President said about there being operatives all over the world.

She probably worked her way up the chain of command in the Metal Clan and is going to use the army to do...something. Whether it's control everyone or DESTROY everyone I don't know yet

If she is with the Red Lotus, she is most likely leading a revolution. Zaheer's plan was basically kill the leaders and the Avatar and then let the people do. It was not really a really good plan actually. I guess her plan is leading a organized revolution army to achieve the a new world order.

Maybe
she supplied the mercury and the platinum cuffs?

I wonder how much of the Fire Kingdom we will see in this book if it does appear that is. I hope the series doesn't end without showing the Fire Kingdom and Western Air Temple.

Starting to think very little. Although if the political change impacts other world leaders maybe we'll see the fire nation get brought to the fight. Maybe we'll get an all out world war with other nations attacking the metal clan dictatorship.

Do you guys think Avatar is done after this? Like no comics, movies, games, etc. at all after Korra is over?

As far as the video game space is concerned, I imagine it depends on how well the upcoming title does. If Activision sees money in it, they are not shy about investing. For everything else, I feel like Nick is gonna sit on the IP for a minute.

We'll probably get comics. Very unlikely well get another animated series in the next 10 years though. Maybe never again from the creators. Kind of doubt we'll get more games unless this game does insane profits.

Eh that tends to not matter with alt costumes and such heh.

Sadly I don't think this game will get support post release. Probably just a quick turn around. Platinum is usually good with alternative costumes. But this is a small digital release I don't imagine it will get full attention a regular release gets. Especially when the people hiring platinum want a quick job with no fuss.

So I said I wasn't going to watch the trailer, but it popped up like 4 times today alone on my YouTube feed. So I finally caved and watched it.

And now I'm really wishing I hadn't. It felt like that gave away way too much.

Yeah, but no offense, the actual POP 2008 game was really meh and boring, imo. This has Platinum behind it. Gameplay in an Avatar game is what it's all about!

Bolin going to dump Opal and get with Kuvira. He doesn't settle for anything but the best. Lava = evil. Bolin is her right hand/ lover mixing metal and lava. The real OTP.
