You can't just do the normal level mission, you have to switch it to any 'Hard' difficulty for the Heroic modifier. If you read the Bounty, it tells you to have the Heroic modifier active.

Whenever you choose the mission there's a gray box that says what level the mission is. Click that then it will bring up a list of difficulty options.

okay, it's obviously an amazing gun but the guy is good and the competition is laughable. the gun you have doesn't prevent people from killing each other, and a 6/9 k/d for the runner up is pretty inconclusive. i'm reserving judgement til I play in a match with one.

Look at the very few times they actually bother firing back. The player either dies or almost dies.
Just tried the raid for the first time, 5 hours later we made it to Atheon but couldn't down him. Should be able to next time, though.
Mechanics all around are absolutely amazing, the fact that they're hiding what is effectively the exact opposite of the rest of the game in terms of gameplay behind such a difficult raid really confuses me. A large majority of your playerbase isn't ever even going to see any of it because there is no matchmaking or easy in-game group coordination.

The Aries is a good gun. I rolled with it in the Raid last night. Mines fully upgraded. To be honest I wasn't sure if it was going to cut it when it was newer and I was about 24. Turned out to be, just effeing fine.
