Xur doesn't appear on the Tower Map, he switches location every week.
GAF knows where he is, though.

Xur doesn't pop up on that map. You gotta look around in the Tower, but usually people here or on reddit will let you know pretty quickly where Xur is stationed at
Some NPC guards will show maps if you use them.
Xur likes to move around so nobody figures out he is peddling Rahool's good gear.
You either explore the Tower for 5 minutes, or go to this thread. You need to talk to certain NPCs for the map, square comes up because you run past them sometimes.

Barely became level 20 and I was doing a lvl 20 strike. Killed one weak Dreg and he dropped a Legendary engram. First one I see!
Took it to Rahool and he gave me a "No Backup Plans". Dunno if it's strong or not, but I'm happy because it looks so cool!

Got two Legendary engrams early this morning which turned out to be Legendaries thank goodness. I needed a Legendary shotgun and machine gun

He left last night. For exotics, raiding and the weekly nightfall have a good chance of exotics
it's annoying we don't even get ass shards now. maybe 1 per armor would be better than nothing

Chances of running into someone who actually has that gun in PVP is pretty low, considering you have to beat the raid on hard to get it.
