I'm curious so informal survey:

GAF do you plan to buy the DLC right when it comes out- yes or no?

Might surprise you to learn that I'm not. Pricing is pretty steep and as much as new gear, strikes, and a raid are stuff I want, I would wait for a sale/coupon or multi-pack.

If there are surprises in there my mind might be changed, we'll see.

Had to fight an army of Vex and Cabal alone. Got the "Enemy are moving against each other..." message on Mars. They nearly had me but I survived. I survived! Take that, you damn robotic/alien bitches!

Got four legendary engrams out of it too.

i got the Ghost Edition and already put in the codes so i'm already waist deep in it.

Got it with my ghosta edition, if I had not I would still buy it, I'm in love with this game even though it's lacking overall content.

Already bought it when I pre-ordered the game for $90. I'll probably enjoy the content but I'm a bit nervous it might not be enough of it to be worth what I consider $15 is worth.

LOL, no shit about the split screen. That really would have solved a lot of problems.

I'm thinking about a way to try and get some responsible GAF parents to form a friends list for kids 6-12. Just want to make sure I think it through all of the way so weirdo's don't get a hold of the PSN names and we don't offend the parent if the kid starts cursing or something and has to be removed from said friends list.

I've already paid for the expansions, but any other DLC I probably won't buy day 1.

Any official info on this DLC? Links?

I will buy it if there are a few new exotics in it, new areas to play in etc.

Absolutely. I'm loving the game, it's only going to get better, and I feel the content is fair for the price.

I bought digital guardian so I have no choice lol :P But If I didn't I'd still get the expansions Day 1 for the reasons above.

Came in my LE but I'd buy it if it didn't. After experiencing Vault of Glass, I need more raids in my veins!

The dangers of Destiny lol. You know the game has issues and isn't all that, but you can't help coming back the next day for one reason or the other (Daily bounties, daily public event, etc...). Eventually you might reach a point that redoing the activities becomes a bit boring though. And that's the point I'm in.
 
Not gonna lie.

This game is kinda making me want to try WoW, considering I came from The Old Republic
and enjoyed raiding in it until this huge drought of content.

I want to see more blink in PvP. Played the rumble game mode and there was a truly majestic hunter owning everyone with it. Was awesome.

Didn't stop me from getting my handcannon headshot bounty though ;)
 
When I first tried the Ice Breaker, I was wondering why I couldn't reload and where my ammo was coming from. This is too ridiculous of a sniper in PVP and PVE to not get looked at by Bungie, it's very good. Then again, Bungie ain't known for nerfing snipers in their games.
 
So who else is hoarding engrams to level up Cryptarch once patch hits? Got a ton of blues in the bank to level up my Cryptarch level for free legendary engrams.

Day one, no. I need to make some kind of statement that I won't let them hold the balance of the story as ransom to get to buy the DLC. I also think for a third of the price of the retail game, we should get a third of the content. New Class, new Patrol Zone, more Vault space, ect.

Down the road, maybe. If they have a good sale or something.

I disagree, I got my warlock to 20 in one day doing crucible bounties as soon as it was available. I was #1 90% of the time with my lvl 6 going against lvl25+. I hated the warlock glide...but people camping in a corner don't expect you to come around the corner floating above there heads. Aim down and it cancels glide shotgun to the top of the head then punch as you fall> over shield and mop up the rest of his in suspecting buddies, so good.

Is it cool to just jump into WoW despite being a complete noob at it? I mean, I got to 60 in Wrath, but this was after Cata dropped.

I feel odd about jumping into such a game that has so much history.
 
I'm surprised how many people sprung for the editions that included it. Very interesting though! Least I know I'd have a bunch of people from this thread to play with hahaha

Nothing official yet no besides vague "new gear, new strikes, new raid"

However, I would count the chance of new exotics as 100%. Exotics in this game are huge, interesting part of the endgame and build-changing new ones would be a powerful incentive to shell out for DLC.

that's fair. sale's what I have in mind too. Bungie's map packs in Halo 2 were eventually hugely discounted or even free....

I am doing the same. We both know that current engrams wont have the new drop rates. BUT the package that the cryptarch sends you for leveling him up WILL have the new drop rates :)

Perfect time really. You'll get a free leveled character for the expansion and there is significantly more shit to do at the cap.
