As do I. The timeline given explains why all the story is in cards on the app/website and not the game. It also explains why all the missions are "Press [ ] to Dinklebot."
 
If you go to prison for taking a video game server down for 20 minutes, you truly are the biggest loser alive and should consider hanging yourself.

I rather like the "Sorry, you may not have more than one exotic weapon equipped at a time" message. I wish it had a little more snark to it

"Sorry, Guardian, we know you have so many exotics that you can't decide what to use. Hope things turn around for you"
 
Watching the E3 2013 gameplay video... In many ways it looks the same, and in many ways it looks different. The Queen's brother shows up on Earth, and seems to have been a proper character at some point. WTF?

You're ressurected from dead to become a Guardian but early in the story you're kidnapped by a Mysterious Stranger named Crow (not the same as the one we got in the released game) and he's there with a few other Guardians who have lost their Ghost. He reveals that The Traveler didn't actually bring the Golden Age but brought The Darkness that destroyed Humanity but over the centuries the Speaker retroactively changed the story to make Humanity believe The Traveler was their savior. He then explains a few missions, one of which being a twist on the Moon mission where you destroy the thing The Hive was communing with but in that version that thing was trying to resurrect The Traveler so it could finish destroying Humanity.

Nothing particularly compelling and a tired concept imo. But it could be entirely made up based on some of the theories that were already floating around.

That fits in with the cinematic from last year where we run into that guy with the funky voice who trains their gun on us. "I just want to talk." "Out here in the wild, this IS how we talk."

There was clearly a lot of narrative cut. I want to know the story of what happened to the story, almost as much as I want to know the original story.

"Unfolding mystery of who created the ring" - eh, more like a few lines of dialog.
Satisfying ending? All I remember was a clumsy run through an exploding Shit and about 20 seconds of a cutscene to close it off.

I mean look, The story in Destiny is pretty bare bones sure. But I wouldn't put Halo any higher on a pedestal either.

The second and third choices were probably Captain Awesome and Supercool Dude.

I definitely do feel a lot was cut but I was chalking most of that up to the post-Alpha edits that included cutting "The Wizard Came from The Moon!" The Alpha build of the game had a lot more Dinklebot dialogue that ended up being cut by the time the Beta came around.

Rahool is the true villain in the game.

We had a legendary story and he decrypted it into cards and a boring one.

When it's back up, any of you interested in helping me try the Raid out for the first time? PSN is SquallASF.

Also, I'm working the Pocket Infinity quest and it says I have to disassemble 10 rare or better fusion rifles. I had three rares in my secondary weapon group and dismantled them all but it didn't progress the bounty at all... Any ideas why? At this point I'm praying for the weapon guy to get one in stock and I'll just buy 10 but that can take...forever.
