Umm am I missing something or has the mission glitched out? I can't get past to complete the final piece of the daily.

Patrol Missions is by far the fastest way to gain Vanguard rank. Combine with bounties you can do during Patrol Mission.
One Vanguard Strike takes about 20-30 minutes and give you 25 Vanguard Rank Points.
One kill vip Patrol Mission takes 2-3 minutes and also give you 25 Vanguard Rank Points. Regular missions give 10 points.
 
So with the help of a few gaffers I was able to beat the Vault of Glass.

Found the final reward somewhat lacklustre though....

Is it normal for
everyone to die as the final boss dies? People got their loot given to them but everyone just died.
 
Also cheers to SuttonDagger, Breakfuss, Lightning, Cannon, X_XO_O for doing a pretty fine job on the raid considering it was almost all of our first times. Sorry I can't remember all of your full psn/gaf names. Shoutouts to XO for giving us legit tips and tricks and beasting with the relic despite not having a mic. Apologies that I left you guys with an abrupt break, if I would've waited another 40 minutes or so I could've timed it with the network hacking :/

Not gonna lie, I got a pretty sweet haul from the raid.
-Legendary Rifle
-Legendary Shader
-Something like 10 shards and a few energies
-Monte Carlo

To be honest though I would've traded it all for 1-2 pieces of the raid gear.
 
Sorry if I missed this. But has something changed with the "Kill xsis" type mission bounties for the Queen. Both bounties yesterday I was put right in the area where the boss is to kill, where normally you have to start the mission from the very beginning and make your way to the boss at the end.

Baaically took longer to load those bounties than to do them :D
 
Yay, got my first Legendary, and it was from a Rare Engram to boot. Thanks Rahool!

I am not a huge fan of Scout Rifles, but will definitely be taking this for a spin. It has a rather uninspired name of A.1F19X-Ryl, but whatever.

Xo is the man dude. Got us through the raid too and always helps me with my weekly and daily stuff.

Its because you returned to orbit before the mission countdown. So you resume at the checkpoint just before the boss.

Have you tried killing the guys just outside the actual instance after you launch the mission? Someone here mentioned that would work, though I didn't test it (I had a solar FR already so this didn't take me that long).

Need to kill the actual mobs inside after it says respawning restricted.
 
so the first exotic from xur for titans was arms, then helm, then chest plate. so i'm guessing this week will be legs? i wonder what exotic legs even look like. i might be tempted to get them too because the legs are the only thing left on my titan that aren't legendary or exotic.

Yeah he was great, hopefully he wasn't too fed up with us being noobs.

I thought the design of the raid was pretty damn good, lots of variety and unique encounters. The oracle kill animation and portal/gate entering exiting transition are god fucking awful effects though, so much precious time and damage lost because of that bullshit. That plus the glitches make me think the final encounter was really rushed in development.

Yeh, apparently they nerfed the drop rate if engrams. I did this yesterday as part of my Tgorn bounty and greens were dropping a lot still. Saw two blues, too.

Not sure how viable it is as an engram farm now, but it definitely works for glimmer if you have idols.

Just received my first Exotic bounty and I'm not sure what to go with.

My options are either Thorn, Bad Juju or Invective. Most would go with Invective but I'm still running with a rare AR at Level 26, so a primary weapon is what I'd prefer.

I like Pulse Rifles more than Handcannons and the tasks involved for the Bad Juju bounty seem the easiest, even if 25 strikes could take a while. Is Bad Juju as bad a weapon as what I hear it is?
 
They really need to implement a restart from checkpoint if you get booted offline. Lost count of how many times I've fought through 30 mins of crap on a Queen's quests just to have it shoot me offline. Doesn't even try to regain the connection, just boom, back to title. Nothing up with my internet either.
 
I've played ~2 1/2 days of this game, and got my first usable legendary piece just a couple days ago from the Queen.

My level 12 cousin got a fucking legendary pulse rifle from a blue engram at level 12. I raged.

Well right now, Thorn and Bad Juju are a little lackluster for Exotics, but they're getting buffed at some point.

Thorn's main problem is small mag size, and long reload.

Bad Juju is alright. Kinda weak at first, but I bet it'll be beast if you're willing to unlock the stability upgrade.

Invective is freaking awesome.

It's definitely lacking at the moment. It's not "bad", so much as aggravating to use. The biggest offender is the small ammo clip. It has a buff that makes it auto reload if you get a kill but that doesn't help against strong enemies. You'll end up reloading it far too often with an enemy still at a sliver of life.

Bungie has said they are buffing it though.
