Definitely sounds like a team is needed. I always play Crucible solo and that is a huge toss up.
People have to sign up for that site, I believe.
Good, tiger strikes are all I typically do now because it's difficult to organize a team in the game and my weapons suck too bad for me to even feel competent at a nightfall or raid.
I should be able to buy a vanguard weapon by end of next week.
It's pretty simple. You figure out which faction has gear you want and buy their class item. Wearing their class item converts any earned repuation toward rep to said faction. Doesn't matter where the rep comes from.

You still earn the marks respective to the mode you're participating in (Vanguard for PvE and Crucible for PvP) but when wearing the faction Class Item, all reputation gains from both sources go towards that faction. It's a bit weird though because Factions ONLY accept Crucible Marks for payment.

A nerf to range has been confirmed, but they will always one shot if close enough. They're supposed to do that: risk/reward.
Indeed. There is NO matchmaking for this mode, you need a full 3 person fireteam and level advantages are ENABLED.
Mode is PvP hardcore to the max, basically. Whatever advantage you can get,whatever OP weapon you can use or skill you can spam, this is the mode to use it in.
Same with Iron Banner,really.

I got my Xur drive in my inventory,I just need to sparrow for it. I got the purple drive he had this week cause I want to be all purple. Got a queen shader going on and trying to find a purple ship. Only my emblem is bright blue, the "blessing of IV"
Awesome, I might have to pick one up from Xur next Friday. I assume that upgrades the overall speed of the sparrow (to max maybe)? I have a love/hate relationship with the sparrow. I don't like using it because I hate downtime (traveling) but I wanna go fast.
Seems like the Titan defense will be very staggering in those modes.

My understanding is that you can switch back and forth with no marks lost. I found a Legendary New Monarchy bond for my Warlock gained a couple of marks with them before I realized it, then switched back to Vanguard so I could buy the nifty helmet I wanted. I don't think you "lose" anything by switching to another faction, but I could be wrong.

Just an FYI to anyone doing some engram farming: save your blues in your inventory until the patch Tuesday, for a couple reasons.
First: they have a higher chance to roll legendary than before. Second: you will use them post-patch to upgrade your cryptarch and possibly get some good legendary engrams from the post master, which should decrypt into a guaranteed legendary.

Yeah it should make your sparrow a legendary sparrow,giving it max (or close to max for exotic sparrows to exist?) speed and will change the color of your exhaust trail

TBH, I've got my Titan to lvl 20 and I really don't feel like grinding for equipment. I'm thinking I'll get a Hunter and Warlock up to 20 first before I start working on the endgame stuff. I'm hoping by then the post-20 progression will be a bit easier.
Engram patch hits tuesday.

There's a raid piece for every slot.
I think typical raid gear armor is legendary, so there isn't a limit that I know of. Bungie has said in the past that each class as it's own "set" of raid gear they can find.
I'm definitely not looking forward to grinding to get to 20 again, but I've got 3 leg. titan armor pieces waiting so that's a big incentive to get to 20.

Stealthed people do not, stationary people do. It's totally proximity based and not movement based.
When you crouch you only appear on radar sporadically.

My clan and I bested the Vault last night. Oh man...what an amazing experience. One of my most memorable and satisfying gaming moments for sure.
If anyone is on the fence about trying it or don't have friends high enough level to enter it, do yourself a favor and find a group on here or reddit, or anywhere, and do the raid. Also I really recommend not looking up how to beat the various challenges and to figure it out amongst you and your team, as that was half of the fun (at least for us).
They really need to incorporate some of these raid type gameplay elements into the regular missions. Stuff like the megaman-esque platforming part could easily be in other levels.

Feels good to be in that top .01%. Should hit 29 later this week. 18 shards away.
Beat the raid for the first time last night with my 28 Sunsinger Warlock. Got some really nice drops throughout..

The sniper does more damage inside VoG.. for example, I think it has more damage to Oracles

Yup and he is criminally wasted IMHO, I had to listen to way to much asof Dinklage that could have been swapped out for Reddick's work. Then again with that script perhaps it's just as well he isn't used more often.
Agreed, VoG was one of the best COOP gaming experiences with complete strangers that I've had in a long time. I rounded up a team of GAF members on Saturday and we went through the entire thing, trying multiple strategies and techniques. It was a ton of fun, can't wait to do it again this weekend

I'm not seeing why we can't have a timed trade window when it comes to getting gear in a Fireteam. Someone could've used that Sniper Rifle, or I could've traded it for shards.

Okay cool. You don't lose progress though by switching to another faction? I haven't done anything but stick with the standard set up but I noticed I have a Vanguard emblem that I'm not using (just using a generic one). Would I buy an Emblem from the Queen's vendor or Dead Orbit, etc. to increase my reputation with those factions? The only way to actually gain rep is the daily, strikes and or pvp matches?
You don't loose anything, you just choose wich one to give the rep of the stuff you're doing.
