If anyone else was wondering what the Cabal looked like under their helmets; it took a while to get a good screenshot because they always keel over forward once you pop them:

Ugly bastards!

whats wrong with your faaaaaace

Bladedancers are making me rage so hard. Such bullshit.

Using that shit pretty much gives you 3-4 free kills each time.
I guess, but the trade off is that you are incredibly vulnerable waiting for the super to setup and getting to the first target. Most other super are like greased lightning by comparison.

Xbox One with Kinect and Forza 5 for $399. Though, I might wait. Pachter said that Microsoft was going to have an amazing Xbox One promotion in the fall.

Aw man, and I had my eye on a Wii U for black friday. *sigh*

Oh noes, you didn't play ODST and Reach? Definitely worth checking out.

Nope, always wanted to play both of them too but never did. They aren't in the collection though, aren't they?

Blue engrams post patch may have a better chance at being legendary than legendary engrams currently have at being legendary. Given my current 0/15 run on legendary engrams, I'd still save anything until tomorrow.

Has this been confirmed? It could not increase the % for a legendary at all.

For example (THESE ARE NOT ACTUAL STATS, btw): say, right now, a blue has the chance of:

Green gear: 40%
Blue gear: 40%
Purple gear: 20%

Post-patch, it sounds like everyone is expecting Bungie to distribute the chance for a Rare/Green to the others equally:

Blue gear: 60% (+20% previously used for Green)
Purple gear: 40% (+20% previously used for Green)

However, couldn't they just change the RNG to this instead?

Blue gear: 80% (+40% previously used for Green)
Purple gear: 20% (no change)

If you play with a team, make sure to call out Bladedancers when you see / hear them. Listen for the activation sound and the whirring / humming of their knife. When one is close, just run away. Jump, hide around corners, change elevation, change directions, etc. I do all of this and I survive most of the time. One thing that commonly happens is that a Bladedancer will get killed by my team mates while stubbornly trying to catch me. It's hilarious.

Sadly, they are not. People are hoping they get a HD remaster treatment too.

So how do you trigger exotic weapon bounties? I'm a level 27 and haven't had a single one pop up yet. I complete regular bounties all the time.
I got my first one over the weekend at Level 26, I turned in 5 bounties at once and got the prompt, not sure if that has any bearing on how it works but now I'm superstitious.

he said "may." of course it's nowhere close to confirmed

BUT ARC BLADE IS 100% BALANCED

As someone who went from a Defender Titan to a Bladedancer Hunter in PvP... lol.

Anyone who says that Arc Blade is balanced is completely delusional. It's unbelievably overpowered.

I dunno in a game with radar it is pretty easy to pop a super from behind cover and get it ready when you know someone is coming.

afro

what the hell do i do with radiance for the first 20 levels? shit's useless in PvE. my super meter charges and i just think "....now what?"

lol i would do patrols with sunsinger on since they're easy enough, and then turn in bounties. i'd do strikes with Voidwalker on. i kept doing this until sunsinger could be used by itself.

in other words, i hope you like grenades.

I've been telling yall how to survive Bladedancers for four OTs now, lol. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I really don't think they're all that bad.

I'm delusional but I'm not a scrub.

Current stats were determined empirically to be about:

Purple engram:
-> Exotic: 2%
-> Legendary: 33%
-> Rare: 63%
-> Uncommon: 2%

Blue engram:
-> Legendary: 8%
-> Rare: 55%
-> Uncommon: 35%
-> Common: 2%

Post patch, any purples you have will turn blue, and the stats will change to:

Purple engram:
-> Exotic: X
-> Legendary: 100-X

Blue engram:
-> Legendary: Y
-> Rare: 100-Y

I seriously doubt that Y is going to be greater than 33%. So yes, decrypt your purples now. Unless you have so many saved up that you intend to get new purples from levelling up your Cryptarch. In that case the best strategy is less clear.

Must, resist, rolling, Hunter.
I still love my Titan, but since I got TWO (count 'em) Hunter helmets from this week's Exotic engram, I felt that the game was trying to tell me something.

Arc Blade is absolutely silly, I would enjoy it before it gets nerfed into the ground.

I'm pretty sure even a blind person could wipe entire teams with it.

Hmm, I just saw a lot of people saying it was kind of 'meh' and there were better legendary hand cannons out there.

The best we did on that last challenge was getting that Xyor guy to appear but barely put a dent in him before we all bit it. So frustrating.

It doesn't have the best stats in the game, but it makes up for it with the piercing rounds that makes the target bleed. Most handcannons require you to hit the target with 4 shots in the chest in PvP, but the Thorn only require 3 shots since the piercing rounds takes care of that small amount of health that is left on the player. They are down within two seconds after your third shot hits. This saves you those extra two shots in PvP, and 6 bullets magically become 8. Combined with a very high fire rate and stability (with upgrade) targets are very easy to bring down.

I imagine they will buff the ammo count to at least 8 and also increase the reload speed, which makes Thorn very viable for both PvE and PvP. It is probably the most underestimated weapon in the game atm and it will become even more powerful.

Cloaks are like the only good armor thing for hunters. Other then random special pieces hunter gear looks bad if not for the cloak.

One thing I'll say for Hunters is they seem to look good with every shader I've seen. Shaders on Warlocks are a total mixed bag and almost never look any better than just decent.

It's not so bad I guess. At first I thought those were the eyes in the middle, in which case they're ugly as hell. But then I realized that's the nose and the eyes are kind of on the side.

Would anyone be interested in running the Nightfall and/or Raid tonight around 7:00pm Central on PS4?

Haven't tried out either of them and I just got my Hunter to level 27 this weekend so I feel I should be ready to take them on. I'll be able to play for like 5 or 6 hours tonight so hopefully that will be enough time to finish both. PSN is MrJellyBean.

I really don't see how. The only time I kill them is when they are dumb and pop it out in the open and are extremely far away from me. They jump all over the place and are so fast that even then it's fucking impossible to kill them. Oh and that fucking shield. Jesus.

Today I killed one cus he was going in a straight line. It took more than half of my machine gun ammo.

I do think the Titan armor looks the coolest. Unfortunately, the Hunter has the least coolest variety though I am happy with everything.

Hunter is pretty much my next class.

OP super in PvP
Cloaks
Stealth
Hand cannons
Best helmets?

I did have a few nice armor pieces saved up but I melted them down in a fit one night to lvl my current gear.

>Survive Bladedancers.

Used by anyone with an IQ greater than 50, you're almost guaranteed to die outside of sheer luck. Unless you happen to have a multi-rocket tube ready to go and a good lead time on the target, you won't kill him, and even in that situation, there's a good chance you die anyway (most likely by suicide, as by the time you fire your second rocket he's probably right next to you).

What? I'm seeing a pair of eyes, a nose and a mustache. Poor fellas...
