Me and some guys tried nightfall at 26 and we couldn't dent it. We could do the daily 28 today no issue tho.

The jump from 26 to 27 will amaze you in how much more capable you are in Nightfall. I felt the same way at 26. Went and leveled to 27, came back and the difference was noticeable right away.

Bungie has already stated that any purple engrams being held will be demoted to blue engrams when the patch goes live.

Anyone banking their purples should encode them now, for at least a chance at a legendary item. However slight that chance may be.

I would take this over the absolute shit chance of getting a purple from a purple currently:

Rare engrams will have an increased chance to produce Legendary quality items

Purple envelopes from the Postmaster are different than engrams. Bungie never said anything about the engrams from envelopes reverting to the old loot system. Still a chance they turn to blue and Bungie already took it into account though.

Do you plan to raid? Because if so then none of them. It's only worth it if you don't plan on hitting level 30. Otherwise you may as well just take what you have and head to the raid for your gear.

I think if you have got it you should be able to equip it. Armor, weapons the lot.

Some people complained that the first level 30 character looked boring and I agree, but if you could equip all exotic armor, damn you would be glowing all over the place.

Yes. Find the walker in patrol and kill it that way. Easy peasy.
