Yeah, but once you open the letter it'll be an actual item, not an engram. I got a legendary hand cannon from Dead Orbit yesterday. Awesome since I likely would have bought it with crucible marks.

I am well aware of the cheese spot. Its what I used to beat the strike at level 28 despite only being 25 myself. Didn't know it counted for two, thanks!

I feel like a lot of casuals will be pissed off come Tuesday because they didn't get the memo. Should have been an in-game PSA instead of notes on bungie.net.

The neat thing about the factions is that you can get items that they normally don't sell. I hit FWC rank 3 over the weekend and got a sniper rifle with their flavor text and color scheme even though the vendor doesn't normally sell one.

Hmm, I bought a cloak from the Speaker and I love the length on it and the way it hangs, tbh. My Hunter is female as well. To each their own!

So, in addition to those UI suggestions posted earlier in the thread, there was a great post a week or two ago in the Destiny lore (lol) thread re: implementing more contextual info-- like those found in the Grimoire cards-- in the game itself.

I just realized that the exotic bounty I'm working on is for Thorn... I heard nothing but bad things about this gun, is it worth going through with the bounty?

I'm having such a hard time with the bounty, I'm at the part where you have to get 500 points by killing guardians in the crucible with Void damage. Anyone have any tips? I started using a fusion rifle but I'm so bad at PvP that I end up losing more points than gaining.

I really want to get more top 3 item answers though. i think the variety of picks will be a lot of fun. maybe when it's a little slower around here I'll repost

Impossible queen bounties and exotic bounties sitting there like dead weight are slowly killing the game for me (as the pve/pvp bounties were pretty much all i did and now i can only do 1 at a time). Finally made the executive decision yesterday to abandon the crap queen bounties that you need to be level 2 for, for my sanity. How about making bounties be tougher instead of making the queen stuff artificially tough through the annoyance of having dead weight bounties? That's just an anti-fun mechanic that pointlessly extends out the length of time it takes to grind through your dailies each day, instead of presenting an actual challenge.

Thorn is awesome in PVP. I maxed mine out so it's nice in PVE as well. And it's gonna get a buff in the near future. For the 500 void points, I used a void shotgun and played Rumble. You can cheese it a bit if you go in with a fire team that'll let you kill them and won't shoot at you, since then it'll basically be 1v3.

If only they'd got the voice actors to read out their own cards and put the recordings in game.

That would have been absolutely amazing witht the talent they had available.

So much wasted opportunity. :(

Forewarning, the explosion upgrade is either glitched or very subdued. Great gun, though.

I'm curious as to why there aren't any random enemy encounters?

Basically, I'm wondering why this game isn't Diablo with guns without the shitty humor in Borderlands.

Dude, I had the Bad Juju bounty and I banged that one out even though it was laborious and arduous.

The weapon is really weak too! Fortunately it is supposedly getting a buff.

These bounties can b annoying, but at least the reward is guaranteed.

I wish I could get the rocket launcher or machine gun bounties.

I feel like the Gjallahorn is underrated. When you upgrade to those wolfpack rounds, they really take out huge waves of mobs. Definitely pretty awesome, and the visual of the swarming missiles is cool as hell too.

This gun is underrated? Gjallahorn is one of the only few Exotics I have that feel like it's worth having around. Wolfpack Rounds + fast reload = lol
