Is it going to be impossible for me to ever get to level 30, I'm probably never going to do the raid, I don't even have a headset or the time to play with 5 other randoms who I can't rely on (based on strike experience) I'm carrying most teammates through strikes so I can't imagine how shit the raid would be for me.

Almost forgot.

Ready to raid again. Have Kabr's greaves, the queen's helmet (only one I have other than the Helm of innermost light), Crest of Alpha Lupi and some FWC gauntlets.

Wow I've played 2d and 1h. Oh lord!!! Too much time down the drain...

My armor is all legendary with 1 exotic chest piece on my Titan. 2 legendaries come from Crucible. 1 came from Queen's.

Anybody wanna do a raid or nightfall before reset? I've failed in the last three or so tries with various groups with the nightfall one. :(

I still have yet to even attempt the Raid. Mind if I ask some questions about it:

1) Is it like the Nightfall, where if everyone dies you get booted out of it?

2) How long does it take to complete the first time through it? I've seen videos of it, but they go on a LONG time. It seems like it takes some people several hours total the first time. Don't know if that is the average.

3) What kind of special weapons you need? Void damage?

4) How does it compare to the Nightfall Strikes? Those things are CRAZY hard, so if the Raid is even harder, I'd imagine it to be nigh impossible for me.

5) Do you actually need to finish the Raid to get great loot or can you just get done with part of it and get rewards?

I randomly turned on a stream because this guy is using the Vex and apparently it's the guy that was first to reach level 30. Apparently he got level 30 so quickly because he would not only make 2 alts and do the raid with those... He would delete one character each day, go from level 1-20 on the new character in a day and then switch his gear around and do it again, thus doing the raid 7 times a week I guess...

wut.

Time. Where does he get it?!

1) No, at least not on Normal.

2) If you've never done it, and don't have anyone who knows what they're doing, it can take many hours. Like, 10+. Once you know what you're doing, it can take less than an hour if you're good enough/

3) Void Damage weapons are by far the most useful. Any Vex enemies that have shields will have Void shields.

4) Once you know what you're doing, I think the Nightfall is harder than the Normal Raid, purely because when you all die, you have to restart on the Nightfall. But I'm sure the Hard mode Raid is ridiculous.

Hey guys, I'm going to buy Destiny for PS3, as physical copy. Does anyone know if I could get the digital copy for PS4 this way? Or do I have to buy it on PSN to get both. I sold my PS4 but plan on getting a new one black friday.

And pray it even drops raid armor. It's really, really dumb.

This is the only aspect of the RNG that I find to be really really dumb, at least with legendary armour in general you can save up and buy that shit, same with exotic armour with Xur if you're shit out of luck.

But Raids, fuck me, getting a raid together is tough by itself, praying to the RNGods for raid gear you need to be able to level 30 is just madness.

Normal mode raid = waiting for 30 seconds after death to be revive-able by a teammate.
hard mode raid = never revive-able by a teammate.

1. Nope. You will wipe a lot. Embrace it.

2. All depends on the people you are playing with. If they know how to do it, probably 3 hours. If they don't...Probably days since you have to be pretty hardcore to figure it out, and those people have already done it.

3. Void is good. Stock up on a little of everything.

4. Different league altogether.

5. You can do parts, and get some loot for those parts. You can go back with the same leader and continue from the last checkpoint.

It does so much to you mentally, too. I'm level 28 and beat the raid, so I know next time it'll be even easier since I know what to do.

Yet...what do I do from here? At this point legendary armor drops don't do anything, since you need that armor specifically. It makes me not want to dump more into the armor to get to 29 since you need a ton of materials that are better spent waiting until you get those pieces. It's really weird.

Actually kinda worried...

it's honestly not that hard to put a raid together, and you don't need to be level 30 for anything other than the heroic raid to begin with. if you've never played a loot treadmill weekly reset style of game before, i can agree it'd be a bit strange to get used to, but it's almost week 3 of the raid cycle, and you can raid on every character you have above 26. i'll eventually have 3 titans to do the raid back to back for 3 hours every week to farm drops for heroic, and 3-6 hours a week really isn't that time consuming, either.

yes, it's going to be impossible to be 30 for now without raiding. it's also pointless to be 30 right now unless you're doing the heroic raid, so there's really no need to worry..

Not until iron banner is released.

do you have a link to his stream?

Anyone doing Nightfall strike before it changes? Still haven't managed to get it done, tried a few times and just failed once we got to the Nexus. PSN: blazeuk. Too late to use a mic though.

Why not add people from here with similar schedules? The raid saves at checkpoints, and even if you only get it partially done you get a shot at gear with each chest/boss.

70hrs I've actually bought all my armor. I only got one purple armor from a engram, but for a different class. I don't count the queens garbage.

I do get a lot of weapons from engrams though. like 5 purple 3 yellows.

Not until crucible is released.

So I'm stuck in PvP? Basically the same situation of carrying my team every match, crazy how shit most people are at it, its just halo.

Looool, the one guy I've added off here got 30 kills, died 10+ times and was generally useless in the one strike we did, whilst being 2 levels higher than the required level.

Nope, but if your team has no idea what's going on, then expect to see that summary screen a lot

2 your first time may take a day or two. Once you get a rhythm with the raid it will be easier. It takes my team around an hour to complete it.

3 void damage.... Helps out a bit

4 normal raid can be harder if your team is not so good. Nightfall strikes are a bit more annoying because you have to start over.

5 after every boss you have a chance at loot... Emphasis on chance lol

Lag in PvP is funny. I got a Postmortem medal kill with a melee attack. Go figure.

See that I don't mind, especially when using that to complete the bounties.

But when you are making progress on the boss and are in a rhythm and then the lag nation attacks and you can't pick up the relic or do anything then it gets disheartening. Ah well, there is always tomorrow but was on such a high from the other parts of the raid that it just made me temporarily bitter.
