Nah, there are a few points on the map where it registers you as further back than you actually are. We were able to replicate it multiple times throughout the fight.

Yeah it happens. Game's a glitchy fucker at times. Last week the Gorgons couldn't kill a couple of us, we've had the time portals throwing people out the opposite direction, people being ported into instant death, random marking on people not going through the portals.....


It needed more testing really.

A dude posted on the lfg site that he had the lvl28 Weekly Heroic boss down to low health and to join him.
Me and another guy joined him, then the original guy killed off the boss right as we reached boss area.
9 Strange Coins and Exotic Weapons Bounty step done.

I've also seen only 2 people get ported.

OK I'm going to take stock and ramble a bit. Sorry in advance about the length.

1. This community is amazing. Seriously. I've been really ill the last few weeks (and still recovering now) and Destiny has been my go-to for escapism, helped by some really cool GAFfers. I've had some amazing games with posters in this thread, so thanks you guysss.

2. I know we moan about RNGesus etc, but does anyone else at levels 27+ actually have loads of legendary weapons now? I seem to keep receiving them. I don't think I've ever actually bought a legendary weapon and I have maybe 8 or 9 now. None are as good as Gjallarhorn though. :P

3. I'm one of the 2 people in the world who think the lore is actually really good. The Vault of Glass is the peak (showing how the Vex can move instantly to Venus and Mars and how they move in and out of time) but each of the factions is interesting - whether it's the Hive moving between dimensions and burrowing underneath the surface of planets to set up torture pits (check out the hooks hanging from the ceiling) or the Fallen's internal politics (Archons, Kells, Houses and Servitors), I find it all fascinating. The settings are interesting too - especially Venus's mix of forests, the Ishtar research area and the Vex's eerie architecture, the Archer's Line on the Moon and the Hellmouth. I actually prefer reading into it and letting my imagination do most of the work (although I completely agree that the in-mission storytelling is shockingly bad).

and finally...this game is the most addictive thing I've played in years and years. That's the bottom line, regardless of all of its flaws. I'm on about 90 hours now and I still look forward to Crucible matches and I haven't yet finished the Raid (on any difficulty). I was meant to go to bed a couple of hours ago as I have an early start tomorrow but I just had to finish two crucible bounties. Then I had to just finish off ranking FWC to 3. Then I just had to go and find those last spirit blooms I needed to get to Level 29.

just saw this quoted and so went back to read. so sorry to hear that you've been ill, and it's wonderful that Destiny proivded an avenue for some release. agreed on all counts. I don't have a surplus of legendary weapons but my collection is certainly growing and choosing what to prioritize is pretty interesting. all of the ancillary lore really is compelling, surrounding the barebones plot. and yeah, complete crack, I haven't felt this hooked in years either, it is devious.

That one is very easy to do. One part does require you to buy an item from Xur for 1 Strange Coin, though. However, it's not that great of a machine gun. Way too much recoil, but it does come with an upgrade that gives you ammo back when you miss shots (which will happen due to the recoil).

This has happened to me. I was one of three members for the portal team. We all stood next to each other in the back, when the time came for the teleport, I was left behind. After a while it got fixed for me but then another member didn't get teleported back. It was super frustrating. And I don't know if it affects anything, but if I crouch instead of stand, that may have caused me not to teleport back. I remember a few times I was crouching and didn't get teleported. When I was standing, this problem happened less frequently or maybe not at all.

Yup. I've also had moments where the enemies stop attacking and stop taking all damage. If you hold out long enough, the issue resolves itself and you can continue the fight. Or if you're early in the fight, you can head to orbit and restart it.

IME, most of the glitches show up when enrage is near
 
Thanks for the invite and learning on the first raid boss Malalaw (Deadly Taco), was fun and I'm glad we downed the Templar despite the lag :)
 
So I've been Level 20 for a couple of days now and I don't appear to be making any progress. I have two pieces of rare equipment that have light and the rest of my stuff is green. Upon advice from a reddit thread, all I have been doing since Level 20 is daily bounties, mostly vanguard. Do I just keep plugging away with bounties?

Nah do the strikes, dailies and PvP as well. Queens bounties give guarantied good gear too.

I've spent 10 hours in the VoG and have never seen any if this. Things always seem smooth. The only glitches I've seen is from people running, jumping, or sliding through portals.

Well bounties won't get you better gear. That just gets you reputation. You want to do Vanguard Strikes for better gear.
 
Finally got a legendary weapon--Shadow Price from hitting level 3 vanguard. I like it so far. Took a while to get used to the slower rate of fire compared to the Shingen E I've been using for a long time, but the better stability and impact help a lot with getting more critical hits in. Looking forward to seeing how it is fully upgraded.

On the leveling up front--is it better to stay with Vanguard rather than a faction if you seldom play PvP? i.e. you still get rewards for continuing to level Vanguard right? And going from 3 to 4, 4 to 5 etc. doesn't take longer than going 1-2-3 with the factions to get rewards?
 
Have all 3 of my characters with their cryptarch rep <100 from level for the patch tonight..still fully expect to get 6-9 rares though.

Between level 20 and 26 (27?) you can really just play anything and eventually earn better gear. I mostly played Crucible between those levels and bought legendary gear from the Crucible shop, and got a few legendary drops in the process.

Oh man those are the best bits! Whenever they've happened to me, when everything starts working fine again, the damage I "do" during the freeze catches up. Whenever those freezes happen I just get my biggest gun out and start unloading on the boss of the moment's weak spot. Easy damage.
I haven't had it happen in a raid yet, but it's happened in strikes a few times.

Right now, you can get a couple of guaranteed legendary armor pieces from doing a Queen's kill mission. Do one of the queen's bounties to get a token in your inventory for the mission. You'll need to be carried through the mission itself, and might need to actually be 21 to enter it, but this is your easiest ticket to 25-26 at the moment. If you ask in here, people are usually willing to help.

3 exotic guns and 1 helm
I would like to do the raid before reset if possible even if its partially done.

Or wouldnt mind doing nightfall
