I got to the kell and got him half health but there were just too many enemies in the room to manage. I am only level 24 too lol
I have 6 exotic weapons and I'm still jelly. Really would like that one (and Plan C for that matter).
Final boss, but at most three cycles through the gate and by then it's pure chaos because the people on the outside can't stay alive and the people on the inside aren't quick enough to get out and do damage during the vengeance. Or the opposite happens, guy on inside dies and drops the relic. We just can't put it all together, too much mediocre play. I think everyone else reaching 28 would help, but not that much.

Edit: And yes, Hawkian, I was mad jealous of the Pocket Infinity. SUROS dropped helped me cope though.

Any Xbox One users want to do the nightfall before the reset? Have yet to do it this week. Just did the raid and got chatter white and ascendant energy so... Yeah...

I actually had the SUROS drop, which I didn't shell out for due to both lack of coins and loving the sound of the Knucklehead Radar Helmet. Was a good gain for my first Nightfall.
Will try and get on earlier though!

I love my Pocket Infinity, but it is getting very hard to unequip my Ice Breaker. It was a total champion in the raid, and just eats strike bosses alive.
Ways to get Ascendent energies:
Raid
Do a Daily (24+)
Nightfall
Do at least 1 event daily, events give you shards and you always get something in the mail.
DE legendary+ gear
Simply put, make 2 alt characters and do some daily tasks and you will build up shards in no time.

Exotic weapons just get better after upgrades.Immediately after finishing the bounty for Pocket Infinity, I decrypted a legendary secondary weapon and got this. Someone help me understand why the Pocket Infinity is better. I get that full auto mode is insane, but everything else about the Final Rest II is superior. Thoughts?
1. Pocket Infinity: "Fires in full auto mode and has a chance to return rounds that miss to the magazine."
2. Smooth Ballistics: "Less recoil. Penalty to range."
2.1. Soft Ballistics: "Less recoil. Penalty to Impact."
2.2. Linear Compensator: "More predictable recoil. Slight boosts to range and Impact. More recoil."
3. Surplus: "Expect to find more ammo for this weapon."
4. Hand Loaded: "This weapon is effective at an extended range."
4.1 Enhanced Battery: "Increases magazine size from 3 to 8."
4.2 Perfect Balance: "This weapon has extremely low recoil."

A. Energy...Dailies and the first Public Event are the more surefire ways.
Can get them on chest runs too, but that's a big shot in the dark.

Ohhh ok, yea as for the final boss, make sure to designate which portal the team inside is coming from so the team outside can defend n open it. Once your out, have 1 person kill harpies as others destroy the boss, rinse repeat 4x or 5. Of course easier said then done when you cant stay alive...
Bungie never set a date for the patch, just some time this week. People are assuming it's tomorrow. Prepare for the disappointment!

I've got plenty of shards. It's the energy I seem to have trouble getting, and I'm doing all of the above, bar using only one character.

Yeah we watched plenty of vids, just came down to lack of execution. It's fun and a great idea by Bungie, I wish they had more, but if you have a bunch of 27s it needs to run flawlessly and we just can't put it together. I honestly am starting to think if you don't have the right gear you need to be 28 at a min.

This was my loot from hard mode Atheon, plus ascendant energy. It took us 9-10 attempts and we killed him in 4-5 portal runs using the middle pillar + titan bubble weapons of light strategy.
Amazing. Does it feel much quicker than the others?

It feels pretty fast, the only downside is the double boost replaces the air brake turn.

I got the same bike for killing altheon on normal this week.
It has a blue boost that has more particle effects, but as you hold down the boost it changes colors from blue -> purple -> orange -> yellow. When it hits orange you start hearing beeps going off telling you it's about to blow up, then when it hits yellow a different siren goes off and the thing will blow up regardless of what you do.
Also, in lieu of airbrakes, you get the strafe left and right abilities assigned to L1 + R1 like a pike.
