Destiny |OT5| New patch out Tues., Master Rahool reportedly crying into his robes

Hey guys,

Any guides on which weapons to use for VoD or Nightfall? Or even Weekly Heroic?

All are events I haven't been able to try/finish

Not sure about guides, but pay attention to what modifiers are active. This week's Nightfall had the Solar Burn 'skull', where Solar Weapons dealt an incredible amount of damage.

For the Nexus weekly solar sniper rifles or a ranged fusion are a must. Rockets are probably better for the boss than machine guns, though machine guns are great if you're roosting in the cave and need to deal with the Ascendant Minotaur there.

There's some videos that you can google for beating Nexus Nightfall solo that can show you certain methods. Nice place high up to the left of where you come in for the Nexus fight, but takes some fancy/risky platforming or a Warlock to get to. Sniping from the entrance will have you dealing with an Ascendant Minotaur that spawns near the tunnel entrance every 30 seconds or so after killing it.

Best to team up with a couple people for Nightfall. The regular weekly isn't too bad solo, but would still recommend a full Fireteam.

I have to admit, I'm disappointed that there are no team-based vehicles in a Bungie game. Halo you had the Warthog, Mongoose, Wraith, Scorpion, and whatever that flying UNSC vehicle in...Reach(?) was. Even the A.I. in CE were given the rights to assist.

Here you have a speeder bike, a speeder bike with cool down guns, and a slow bike with slower rockets, and outside of a couple instances of the Pikes on Mars I haven't seen much in team situations with vehicles.
Yeah, it's one of the bigger let downs in the game. I really can't believe Bungie made a game so lacking in vehicles after Halo.

Sorry for the repost, but anyone willing to do a few queens wrath missons on PS4? I'm a level 23 Sunsinger and I can really use some help. PSN name is Wmc342

Sorry, I corrected what I meant. Some things might not drop for a while. We should be getting the Engram fix at some point today among some other general things, but things like Bad Juju and Thorn buffs could be as far out as two months.

I was really excited when that tank fight on Mars popped up, but it just felt...off.

Your edit still doesn't make much sense; Bungie wrote up what will be in the next patch, so there's no uncertainty here.

But, when the new patch comes out, all current LEgendary Engrams will be converted to Rare Engrams.

Wait, what? There been so much fumbling around and running headlong into each other on Bungie's part when it comes to loot, I don't know if that's suppose to be a joke.

edit:

Patch notes say it will drop next week, but doesn't specifically say Tuesday, September 30.

Oh, what the fuck?

Any way of getting ascendant shards other that daily lvl28 mission and 3 first public events of the day (with 3 diferent characters) or dismantling purple armor?

Public events are giving me nothing... is there any planet/location of any pubblic event with more chances to drop ascendants? or is any special area were to get purple engrams?

Titan needs a buff, straight up.

Worst supers, Worst grenades. Worst melee abilities. Worst double jump. Literally the only thing they have on other classes is more armor which even then is negligible at best.

Some people have mentioned some of the other things mentioned in the general upcoming fixes over the next few months, even just a page or so back. But yes, I would be surprised if the patch didn't make it today, even if it ends up dropping in the late afternoon/early evening.

People excited for a patch coming tomorrow that may not have all that is mentioned as upcoming fixes.

Do not hold onto your engrams. Decrypt them and answer to the RNG Gods.

Nexus Minotaur loves the taste of Team ArkkAngel and obsessed with tea bagging
By tea bagging I mean running in circles and meleeing/shooting at our dead 'light'

SUROS buy outs are ruining everyone's fun in Crucible.

Pocket Infinity assualt fusion rifle is a mad beast many believe to be game breaking and we're all jealous of Hawkian for it.

Loot cave lives on beyond the reach of those evil monkeys at Bungie.

Thank you sir

Finally got an exotic bounty.

Bad Juju, Pocket Infinity, or Super Good Advice?

Only legendary weapon I have right now is The Swarm, so I'm thinking it would probably be more beneficial to get a primary or a special...

Wait, what?

They have grenades that can blind and suppress the most powerful enemies in the game. They have a melee that can launch from a distance, trigger health regen instantly or a powerful shield that recharges. They have a huge ass super shield that everyone can hide in for almost a minute that grants you a significant armor bonus or orbs of light and they can demolish the ground around them which clears them of close enemies. They also have the only rocket boost jump that you can trigger several times in the air no matter what hight making you do really soft and precise glidings.

Titan hate really needs to stop. :)

Pocket Infinity

You'll probably get another one eventually w bad juju so if the buff is good tthen you can do it later but for now it's awful

Thanks. I've never paid attention to the weapons damage type before until it was highlighted to me by a friend yesterday

I'm still struggling to find people to play with to be honest. VoG will be impossible for me if I can't find a constant group

Nothing to think about here really. Bad Juju and Super Good Advice are mediocre exotics as of now, but the Pocket Infinity is one of the best in the game.

Don't be afraid to ask around here man. Any time I need a group, I just post here, and I'll have one within the half hour.

OT6 | Legendary Cheese Pizza.

But seriously, Kensuke, that strategy about cheesing the oracles definitely sounds like it's worth doing. Doesn't seem difficult either. The biggest issue I'm finding is with ammo.

Strikers are so underrated for PvE. Flashbangs are incredibly useful in VoG, one of the best tools any class even brings. Fist of Havok is usable in all kinds of situations even in Nightfall and VoG to great effect.

Just beat the raid with a group of gaffers in time for the reset!

That was fun as hell. Got a Monte Carlo, a bunch of shards, and Chatterwhite. Can't wait to make another go at it this week.

Yea people really dont give flashbangs enough credit. That blind is great.

I just beat the raid and got nothing but ascendant shards/energy throughout smh. I was one of the best players on the team too, Bungie needs to fix this. How could I not get a single weapon or piece of gear from even one of the chests or bosses? I feel cheated after how long it took to do this.
