I really wish the Atheon gear drops weren't just recolors. My buddy got the scout rifle (Atheon's Confluence, I think?) and while it has cool stats, it's just a typical rifle colored brown. Kind of a bummer for raid loot.

The MIDA Multi-Tool looks pretty damn bland too, I've picked up way more impressive looking scout rifles.

kill bad ones, sure. I feel like I see this advice frequently but after my first experience with one specced correctly (full armor, plus either Armor of Light + Bastion/Untouchable or Blessing of Light + Illuminated + Unbreakable + Relentless for melee spam), I just run away. I was made an absolute fool of in that purple bubble and no one can convince me a titan just standing inside isn't begging for me to waste my Arc Blade on him.

I got this rifle (Vision of Confluence) and it destroys. It's not just a typical rifle.. for one, it has elemental damage as a primary which you can't find anywhere else but the raid. It also fires in full auto, has unreal stability, big magazine and deals extra damage to oracles.

It's amazing.

If you're just saying it should look different... then ok.

It is the most fun thing to play in the game when everyone knows what to do. I really wish there were more missions that required cooperation like that.

Been invited to groups stuck on the buggy as shit final boss twice but haven't seen any of the start if the raid.

Ohhhhh, it's so good. It dropped for me during the raid. What's also nice is that the one i got has specific upgrades to deal with raid enemies. I had no idea this was a thing! Guess that's what they mean by 'raid gear'.

I hate it when I buy the same thing twice from the Vanguard. I did it yesterday with a rare helmet. Cost me 900 glimmer each when I only had 2100 glimmer total. ;_;

Wish there was an pokey okey save option that says "You just bought that, are you sure you want it?"

I wouldn't fire up arc blade if I saw one, but I have caught some while I was already in the middle of it.

When you see a Hunter with Bladedancer active, do you try to charge in?
When you see a Hunter with his Golden Gun active, do you try to charge in?
When you see a Warlock with Radiance Active, do you try to charge in?

Why would this situation be any different?

Yes, but it doesn't have to be in the actual Nightfall area. With Nexus, for example, you just turn around right when you spawn and go into the area that the humans are coming from. There's about 10-15 enemies back there you can kill, but you can respawn if you die since it's not a darkness zone. Basically you just need to be in some story area. The mobs will be level 28 if you're in the right place, but it doesn't have to be enemies of the actual Nightfall. Not sure if that makes sense.
 
My group and I beat the raid tonight. Even though our progress was reset and we had to do it over from start to finish, it felt like we were far more cohesive as a unit this time around and got it done in far less time in only one session, as opposed to two, frustratingly long sessions.

I got Atheon's Epilogue...what's the word on the street about this auto rifle?

Also got legendary chest piece called Kabr's Wrath and a legendary sparrow called Timebreaker.
 
Can someone explain how this Queen mission works? We did the mission last night on the top left and only 2/3 of us got a legendary... Why is that?

Also, Can we do it again today and get another legendary?
 
Anyone else unable to get matchmaking working? Mine sits at evaluating guardians 1/12 and won't get me in a game :/
