Found it, thanks. I always look in that room for a chest but for some reason I didn't today.
 
I could have swore someone said Tuesday before. Oh well. I'm off on holidays away til Friday so no wait for me really.

I hope we get a consistent stream of patches. Like 1 every couple weeks would be nice.

I really just think that the shards' graphic will have a purple background instead of blue, to reflect the fact that they're difficult to find. Don't think it's going to be anything more complicated than that.

Alas, it's off on two accounts. It's determined at time of decryption (if you hoard green engrams collected at level 9 til level 20, you'll get level 17-20 green items).

Additionally, he's hoarding them for Cryptarch level. Everyone not doing this....well, you're not making a mistake per se, but......

It's my favorite running gag at this point. My only issue is I'm almost out of bank space. Might be time to use the third character slot to hold some engrams.
 
don't even want to play till the patch is released but fuck waiting till who knows when

guess ill focus on leveling up my vanguard rank

Thanks for the reply. Figure I might as well keep it equipped until I am done with her bounties. Pretty awesome if they stealth buffed the stackable queens favor boost with the emblem,shader and class item.
 
I think Bungie needs to learn that Blizzard conditioned us to expect patches on the day the "week" resets. I bet they want to do it "the Bungie way", though.

Not Invented Here, etc etc.....
 
A question for you all about the weapons you can get from the Vanguard Quartermaster (or other vendors), are the perks that can be associated with the weapon always the same or random, I have looked at this which seems t imply there are several options for each slot:

Is this really the case and if so does anyone know when the weapon perks get re-rolled in the vendors store..?
 
Playing a fresh Hunter alt, I'm blazing through stuff. It helps to know you can begin doing bounties at level 5 to get reputation up. You can also participate in public events, but I'm not opening my daily packages until I hit 20.

It helps to use guns you already have XP bonuses on I assume, but I've been blazing through stuff left and right with whatever gun has a stronger attack stat. Patrol and Crucible can tip you over the edge toward being overleveled. Also, it helps to know you don't have to sit and wait for the mission results screen anymore.

Of course, it helps to know where to go.

Also, so far, I don't see myself finishing the storyline on my alt. The moment she gets 20, strike playlist and crucible all day every day.

Are marks shared between characters? I know reputation isn't.

Getting them from drops give different rolls.

that's correct, they are the only Legendary items in the game that do not yield mats.

I guess not? I mean ultimately if you're heavy into PvP then yeah, focus on Crucible marks and rep to get your rank up and maybe buy some of that Crucible gear. I'm not a PvP person so I stick to Vanguard activities since there are a lot more to choose from.

Still, because consequences for dying in Nightfall Strikes are more severe for your Fireteam, it's probably a good idea to play through a few rounds of the Strike Playlist to get a feel for some of the different Strikes at higher levels.

Well you are still guaranteed assmats for doing the daily story mission. Also it means that legendary engrams can break down into them since they are the same rarity. I wouldn't be surprised is purple engrams no longer break down into strange coins or motes of light since their rarity is still blue.
 
Damn, I didn't even play yesterday since the patch was supposed to be hitting today. Very disappointing.

I've been leveling up my alt Sunsinger with the same mindset. Going by so quickly, I've also got legendary gear stored in the vault for my Warlock. I'm getting 18 strange coins this week by doing the weekly strike x2, plus the Nightfall x2 can probably give me some decent stuff as well.
 
I didn't realize the ship I'm using "Outrageous Fortune" is PlayStation only.

Which would you choose? Keeping in mind that the Bad Juju and Thorn are both underwhelming but might get better with a patch that may arrive before December and that shotguns are useless in high level PvE.

Invective is pretty easy to get. And it's an auto shotgun with a huge reticle. Only issues are small clip size (4) and slow reload.

To make us think there are exciting and new events happening in the crucible lol.

It would be like CoD shutting down TDM or hardpoint on certain days of the week and saying that there are special Kill Confirmed and Capture the Flag events going on.

Really odd idea... give me all the damn modes whenever i want them Bungie!

That only tells you that the level is rolled at the time of decryption. If the quality of the item were determined at the time of decryption then they wouldn't have said "This only applies to engrams obtained after the patch goes live" when talking about purples always decrypting into purples or higher. The fact that they explicitly stated that tells me that the item is determined when you acquire it. At the very least, the QUALITY of the item (green, blue, purple, yellow) is determined when you acquire it, and it rolls for your level when you decrypt it.
