Wow, how did you get so many shards? I've been struggling for the past week to get 6!

Yes how? I need an alt to help accumulate coins and chances at gear.

A mix of good luck and bad luck. It's all I've gotten from raid chests this week, on top of the usual events, daily 28 mission, and engrams.

I mean, I'll definitely use em, but I only need 8 to fully level my exotic chest armour and my only piece of raid armour is already maxed, so the rest are just gonna sit there til next week at the earliest.


Make sure you get gold tier in public events, do daily missions on hardest setting you can, and sometimes, just sometimes, you'll get extra legendary gear you don't need and/or shards in engrams.

Everyone I know who plays Destiny with me still uses the old WoW/EQ language. We DPS mobs, watch out for adds, farm ore/herbs, enchant and disenchant gear. All those concepts are the same as in any other MMO, so why call them differently?

It isn't hard unless you really suck. The spread carries over matches until the bounty is complete and assists count as kills for this.

Ok I totally do not get how this bounty works. Can anyone give a numerical example. E.g. If I got 15-7 in one game and then 10-1, does that mean I'll be at 25-8?

Yes, very true. I'm gonna upgrade it for sure, but it's solar damage so I don't think I'll put the energies into it until we get a new raid with solar enemies or something challenging with solar. I have two exotic primaries and a legendary void machine gun ripe for energies, so it's gonna take last priority.

I was mainly wondering how much extra damage it does to Oracles, as that's the trait that interests me. I'm at the end game now I suppose, I don't need anything expect raid gear and the shards and energies to upgrade that gear. Or whatever gear that comes along and equals raid gear in terms of extra light.

I am one upgrade away from maxing it to 300. Just got it last week so I'll try it out on the oracles this week.

It still comes down to personal preference really when you are trying to figure out your weapon loadouts, but I personally really enjoy having the elemental damage on a primary. I'll most likely still swap it out depending on what kind of situation/enemies there are. Void on a primary would probably be ideal for VoG with all the minotaurs there, and yeah solar isn't going to be amazing in that raid. But it was awesome to use in this past week's Nightfall with the solar skull.

Every time I get a primary legendary with a damage type I don't have I'll probably make it my focus to upgrade it asap.

If one vaults other class' gear throughout the endgame, you could potentially get an alt to level 26ish as soon as he gets to 20.

I've only recently created my alt (Warlock time baby!) and not really worked on it much. If you were looking to level quick though, I'd recommend hitting any and all bounties hard alongside crucible. Probably take a day or two, but those things chuck out a lot of xp.

EDIT: What Vespene says is very true! And reminds me that I have a full kit of Warlock gear with light in my vault, alongside some exotic stuff and decent weapons. Will work on my warlock from tomorrow I think.

Yup i just hit 20 with my warlock alt and immediately hit almost 25 with just a few pieces of gear, one legendary, and one exotic. Its nice

Just solo'd Nightfall. Was a lot easier than Heroic. Strat is simple with Bladedancer. Save sword for Pistons, use crouch cloak and wave (3rd) grenades for mobs, and just shoot the boss in the head. Running away is extremely easy when low on health. Pistons are the only real threat.

Everything else is simple since Arc anything destroys everything lmao.

But I got just 12 Shards!!!!

New Monarchy did however give me Crusader I... which I already had...

Finished the game today. What the fuck, the story had so much potential, and... they screwed everything up.

I hate you Bungie, because even the game being underwhelming in terms of story/characters, it is still great, and I'll probably put at least more 10~15 hours on it.

Legendary gear or equivalent in shards for every level in any reputation from 3 and after (Vanguard, Crucible, Factions...)

Weekly heroic at 28 should net you 9 coins if you don't do the other difficulties and just do that one.
