Yeah, same here, except we got destroyed by the final boss.

I was afraid about the 200 kills but it should take 2-3 sessions at most to wrap it up.
 
Now that I'm at 28, I feel the grind of Destiny setting in. Only been there for a few days, but advancement comes at the expense of shards. And shards are so incredibly rare...It's hard to find the drive to push every say for little to no return at the moment. :/

Yeah

Every time I hit 200 of a material, in the Vault it goes
Trying to Gather 800 of each Material
400 will stay with my Warlock, the rest will split up and go 200/200 for my Hunter & Titan

So when they are eventually 20, they will skyrocket into level 27+ in short time
As you see I have gear for them already + weapons, so no farming required for them, just pushing the grind factor out now, rather than later
 
Log on and load into the tower, almost instantly kicked back to orbit with an error. I adore this game but I really wish some of that stuff would smooth out.

Solo'd the Nightfall, 10 ass shards. Not bad, now I have a stock-pile of 44 ass shards, waiting to be invested in raid gear whenever that comes.

The Nightfall was quite easy with The Supremacy arc sniper basically 1 or 2 shotting everyone, including the Majors/Ultras. 10 sniper shots to the 4th Lieutenant's tank completely destroyed it, I was shocked.

Valus went down quickly as well. I just had to kite a few times and find that little nook safe spot to recover health.
 
I got 8 ass shards from the nightfall.

I'd be better off it gave me 50 marks or something. I hope I have better luck in the raid tonight.

Finally got my first exotic. I got the Invective from the bounty. The tough part was the Weekly I had to finish, all my friends are on Xbone and PS4 and I don't get an xbone till November :( I had to solo the Nexus strike. Luckily I found the hidey hole and realized that solar damage did triple on the boss, I was hitting him for 5k a pop with my solar sniper.

Best part is it uses Spinmetal. I've got more than 50 saved up for now. PHEW.

In the room all the way back were we do the 1st mission on moon, where you scan the computer (complex), a chest can spawn on the rafters
There's 2 rooms in here, there's always a 100% guaranteed Helium Coil in here, you have to go to the opposite side of the map to make it spawn again, all the way to were there's a beacon wedged in between 2 rovers

There's like 15 spots that video does not show you
In the circular dome area leading to the Hive area, the second level balcony can spawn chest/coils
/there's a room in the dome also house stuff, also the rim of the dome looking from the hive base up, both sides can house a chest

Seriously I streamed all 4 loops/routes and explained the method and every possible location
A lot of the videos bypass many good places, also some of those spots eat up chest spawns, cause they are on a timer, so if you pass them a few times, you won't get that many helium filaments

I average 135+ every hour from doing the first area, just loop back and forth

If you ever have free time, join or invite me to party, I will single-handedly show ya' full route, locations, and save time
Hell if you grab bounties you boost for you rep also, engrams galore from mob drops, patrol missions which are cake walks, then every 30 minutes a public time event
Either Warsat Protection, Destroy Excavating teams

I did 2 hours, got 255 Helium Filaments, +20 Vanguard Marks, +225 Reputation (Missions)
10,000+ Glimmer, 90+ Hardonic Essence, 80+ Weapon Parts, 5 Legendary/12 Blue Engrams, 4 Motes of Light, 2 Ass Shards, 4 Ass Energy
Kill Ranks+ Galore for Grimorie
 
Got my raid boots last night, just need to level up the last upgrade tonight after work and I will be level 30 :D

What I'd do for an elemental primary weapon drop, past 2 weeks I've got 2x raid gloves and then this week 2x raid boots......

Yeah, my bad man I totally missed your invitation. I only realized it 5 minutes late and you started, my fault. Good you finished it too.

Currently eating dinner but I think I may hold off on the Weekly until tomorrow or Thurs as it's not as urgent as the Nightfall is for the bonus. I also hear the Weekly will take a lot longer, ha.
 
12 ass shards from nightfall and the weekly on hard done for +9 freaky coins!
1 more shard and I can fully upgrade my helm... gonna wait though.

fwiw if you like cheese you can get through them pretty quick. someone linked a vid earlier and it wasn't bad... having icebreaker helps though

Will do! I find Helium to be the hardest material to farm (Spirit Bloom is piss easy) due to not knowing a good route. I'll invite you when I can :)
