The weekly lockout for loot in the Raid is starting to tick me off. If you aren't guaranteed a raid set piece then the lockout does nothing but make it impossible to progress for at least another week. That's assuming you're lucky enough to get every piece in one go. In reality it'll take you a month+ to cross the 28-30 wall -_-

Exactly. I think the full auto perk is pointless on most (all?) weapons. Would be better off with some other kind of upgrade in its place.

First week of the raid We got to the atheon and couldn't beat it. I got 2 pieces of raid gear from loot. Tried again Sunday and beat it in less then 2 hours and got my last piece of raid gear. I hit lvl 30 yesterday by getting really lucky

I had this happen last night when finishing the raid. A mate said you have to be alive when you use the ammo packs. I had your issue twice but once I only did it when alive I didn't have the issue again. The same goes for a third member in our 6 man fireteam with the same issue and "use ammo packs when alive" resolution.

So long as they make it so you can play it solo I don't care. I just can't imagine going through with randoms successfully. So many try and do it with their random solar weapons when arc burn is running. Just....no.

I've never tried to use a pack when I'm dead. I'm hiding behind something when I try to load them up and the problem happens.
The luck factor sucks - I finally got gauntlets today, but that's it! Everything else was shards. Even for Aethon I got the same rewards as last time: 3 shards and chatterwhite. Very frustrating, but at least it's fun playing the raid with a group. And we also got the clan achievement.

It actually tends to increase the rate of fire generally, as well. I have a legendary shotgun that has pretty crazy rate of fire thanks to a full auto upgrade(I usually make use of this without actually holding down the trigger, and it's a noticeable improvement over how it was pre-upgrade). Pulse rifles tend to have a slightly shorter delay between pulses, as well. Not sure how it'll affect a scout rifle, though. Certainly not AR speed, but still.

When you level, you get a package. The engrams aren't created yet, so level him up. Just don't open the package until after patch.

Sounds like you had some incredible teammates there.
We were blazing through it, and even though we ran into trouble at the end, we still beat it in an hour and 40 minutes. We had a great group tonight.
I think we can easily do it in an hour. Don't forget: we took a break after the pillars, fucked around with the third chest, made a mistake at the templer, and got disconnected a bunch at Aethon. Hour easy.

I've tried the raid with some super nice people, good folks - but can never seem to get it done. Must be nice to just breeze through it!

Our run last night had one glitch where the Spire built but didn't open the gate so we had to totally restart and we dicked around killing some Gorgons for a bit. All up 2 hours 20 minutes with a group of 6 who regularly play together. You really want good roles for each team member and communication throughout.

Theres always hard mode for double the loot, but I dont think im ready for hard mode yet.

Sort of, but no. The Shingen-E has better stability, making Monte Carlo useless in PVP. It's a pretty shitty exotic weapon to be honest. There's no point in using it as a primary in PVE if you have something like the Hawkmoon.
It's all about strategy and team cohesion. If everyone knows their role, then it should be ok.
Yeah we suffered a few disconnects ourselves. Thankfully it was after a checkpoint.

So I decided to fire up Destiny because I figured I'd be able to get some marks.
Finally, FINALLY about to get my legendary scout rifle. Hopefully one that I like.
To get enough marks, I had to play one mission on Winter's Run where one guy quit early on, so me and this other dude continued onward. We died a few times each, but we only managed to be reset once, which was pretty good. The final fight was very tense we lured the boss over to the left side of the map, away from the other enemies, and this made the encounter just doable.
(One guy joined as the encounter was coming to an end and got the best loot. Buuuungie!).
I am now an owner of this.
Gonna go for one more or two more strikes to test it out.

Yeah I used it sometimes in over but since I got the Suros it's like a billion times better.
Once you know what to do the raid is easy as fuck.

Yeah that end was pretty bumpy. A lot of weird stuff was happening to slow us down, but it all worked out great in the end.
It's time for me to complain.

I've been stuck at 29 for a while now and the fact I cant go higher bc I dont get lucky drops in a once a week activity is frustrating.The RNG is fun for weapons and all that stuff but when you literally cant get max level bc of RNG that is kinda BS in my opinion. At least guarantee one piece of raid gear if you complete it.
