Right. We won't even really know if changes were made to the Cryptarch rank packages until the patch actually happens. Could shake out a number of ways.

Anyone have a full upgraded Shadow Price? I've got everything needed just wondering if its worth it since it will take 18 Ascendant Energy.
I don't think Bungie has said anything on that yet. I'm just saving engrams from now in the vault and once the patch hits decrypt them for a possible 2 level ups at the Cryptarch.

Well Vanguard and Crucible (as well as factions I think) are guaranteed legendary engrams or ascendant materials. Whereas Cryptarch is unknown.
If you keep an exotic in your special or heavy slot, then it could be quite useful. As far as legendaries go, I've heard it's one of the better ones.

Definitely! The raid's a lot of fun and I'll probably be doing it weekly for a good while. Kinda wish there were two raids in the base game for more variety.
What level are you now? It'll happen bud. I know I seem to have had better luck than most during my play time, but especially once the patch hits things'll get better.

mine usually kills in 5-6 perfect headshots. Using cover, you can kill 3 players before reloading.

I think I just hit that point tonight where I'm kind of over this game. There's just so much grinding. If I'm not grinding rep then I'm grinding for gear and if I'm not grinding for gear then I'm grinding for materials to upgrade my gear. I like the combat and the presentation of the game but the monotony is finally catching up. I just can't grind anymore. I want to play more but I need more content.
OK then wait for more content. Don't know what else I can tell ya.

Or should I stop being so miserly with my Ass Shards and push to hit at least 28?
Should I get a legendary primary or special first (not sure why but I discount The Swarm and Zombie Apocalypse as in my head they're 'Weapons for Bosses')?
Feeling the grind now as I look into a future where I need 72 Ass Shards to hit lvl 29 on gear I'll be trashing for raid gear at some point when I only have 17 Shards. Do the Vanguard vendors ever refresh stock? I have like 172 V Marks and am almost at V3 but I don't fancy the Shadow Price the vendor has.
Sorely tempted to try and cheese the Nightfall with ammo packs and a whole lotta patience

You're definitely good to go for the raid. I did it the other night at 27. Yeah if you can replace the Shingen with a legendary that would be ideal though, because it's not that great for PvE once you get to higher level stuff.

For anyone who likes to run up to people and just pray and spray I can imagine it seems like a downgrade, but to anyone who can heafdshot with precision consistently it lets you sustain fire for much longer and the extra damage balances it out so you can drift between those three targets much more precisely than with a higher rof.
It's a ridiculous gun fully modded. I don't like that it makes so many of my other primary weapons feel lesser. Levelling my Thorn and Remote atm, and I use my Suros as a heavy weapon when I'm out of HW ammo.

the timegates are what is slowing it down for me. once you've played the weekly stuff and done the daily bounties, the game wont let you progress unless you go out in the wild and get lucky with RNG. i enjoy just playing crucible, but the lack of a variety of gametypes or any ranking system makes it hard to sit through deathmatch on bad maps game after game.

Some scout rifles are already fucking insane in PVP. I don't know what Bungie is going to do but i can imagine this being a fuck fest once the update happens.
These guys don't know how to make a competitive shooter anymore.
Finally got the Thorn bounty. That's going to be easy with my Void Raid Auto Rifle, Void Raid Sniper Rifle and Void Raid LMG. ;-)

I can't imagine there's a button for ARs, one for Scouts, etc... surely they'll balance on a weapon by weapon basis and not a general buff/nerf for each weapon class?

Lol, this game keeps finding new ways to troll me. Got a rare pulse rifle on the strike complete screen (levelling my alt, only lv16 atm) together with a piece of armor for my Hunter. Thinking sweet, a rare gun to upgrade my current primary. I go into my inventory equip the armor, but the pulse rifle is nowhere to be found. This game man, this game.

I'm quitting Blind Watch in Control every single time. Its completely broken and whoever created that map's control points should be fired because they clearly don't understand ANYTHING about map design. Like anything.

Yeah, this map fucking sucks. I usually just capture or protect B. I don't even bother with the other points (I'm a Defender Titan with a taste for shotguns+melee so B is perfect for me)

It's a tragedy. It takes 3-4 times longer to get from alpha's closest spawn point to B than it does from bravo's. I make it a point to just camp bravo's spawn area so my team gradually spawns there instead.

Alpha team don't even bother capturing A these days. It's all about getting Bravos spawn
I still love mine and use it from time to time, and I have a near maxed out Suros. The damage isn't as high as the Suros, but the fire rate and stability is better, even after the Suros has had the full stability upgrade.
Surrender your secrets that man, I'd be intrigued if its better than my general material hunting. Much obliged too BTW.
