Is level 25 high enough for the nightfall strike?
Yes it is.

Whats up with the almost impossible Exotic Bounty for the handgun ? I need 500 PvP kills with void damage and this fucking counter resets when i'm dying. Wtf was Bungie thinking ? "Hey lets make a bounty that only the top10 PvP players in the world can finish" ? Super shitty if you ask me. And yes i suck at PvP so this handgun is out of reach for me or what ?
Yeah, hitting a checkpoint makes everyone dead revive I believe. However, that conflux part is piss long. Having a single person die in the first phase may as well be a wipe unless someone is a beast at managing their ammo.
You see no difference between players commuting to the process of taking the time to actively search for others by going outside of the game, waiting for everyone to be ready, etc...
and
Clicking on a mm button.
No difference at all?
No, If you die you can just wipe and restart the encounter. Once you reach a checkpoint you're good, and will start from there.
People get revived after each encounter / wipe. Jus no player to player reviving.
It is not that bad.
Subsistema can revive themselves.
Same here. Completed 6/25 so far. Shouldn't be too difficult since I'll be playing strikes for bounties and marks anyway. Nevermind helping friends beat the weekly.
I chose the Bad Juju bounty because it looked liked the one I could complete by playing naturally. 25 strikes, 10k crucible points is pretty straight forward. The others were filled with tedious task I had no interest in sludging through.
Anyone know what the quickest strike is to do?
Yes it is.
AR has been good for me in PVE, pulse and scout has been very poor in comparison. Hopefully they give pulse and scout a good buff soon.
This is what I use now, not the best I've had but it's the only lvl 20 one I have. I'll probably just buy a Shadow Price this week.

I'm betting that people who know the raid totally could do it too. Even matchmade people without mics, if they all know the raid backwards and forwards, could probably succeed. But how do you account for all of the other permutations of groups of people entering the queue? No real arguments against anything you said, except I don't believe Raid matchmaking, if it existed, would require a lower difficulty. It isn't overly hard at all, just requires some coordination and role assignments. If communication is there, it is possible without a difficulty nerf. Also, as time progresses, more and more will have completed and be familiar with all the intricacies of the raid. I'm willing to bet if you take 6 random people who have completed the raid at least twice and put them in a group, they will be able to synergize and rip Atheon a new one.
Phobos is kinda quick.Anyone know what the quickest strike is to do?

I used a void fusion rifle. And if someone's good at sniping, a void sniper is also an option. It just comes down to which one you think you'll do better with.does the weapon you use matter? someone said they used a void shotgun?
Anyone need someone for final boss for raid? I've finished everything up to him just haven't killed him yet.
Otherwise if anyone wants to setup a party with me I have a checkpoint at that point ready. PSN davidbloop level 29 hunter.
Also, PSN is acting up a bit so I'm unable to search players right now, so would need people to message me.
Not alone, right? D: That sounds completely impossibleYes it is.
I noticed that but what happened with a particular run of the conflux part was that we got the message but no vex was at the conflux nor did any show upon the radar. I was literally behind the center conflux, shooting at the center group. Every second or two I would take a look at the radar to see if any came near. Some will literally spawn in the back right next to the conflux. I tested it out. A hobgoblin will spawn in the back left sometimes and walk right up to the conflux in the first phase sometimes. Also Goblins will teleport past you to get to the conflux.
Sorry I don't want to read the same whining post over and over? Thanks, dick.

But it does work that way... And you only lose 2 points per death... If not, something's up and you should contact support(after paying close attention to it to confirm.) I've done the bounty and I'm far from a monster in PvP lol
Edit: well not the way you describe, but you can die twice per kill and make progress lol.
What's with the "no mics" thing? I haven't met anyone who doesn't have a microphone.
- Accepting the invitation locks you in to committing to the Raid and bailing on it penalizes you somehow (Not sure what. Maybe you do less damage or can't earn marks for 24 hours).
What's with the "no mics" thing? I haven't met anyone who doesn't have a microphone, and even then, you would only need a few ppl on mics to lead the group.
I don't think 3 level 25s can complete the nightfall tbh. It would be hard with that handicap.

Dammit, Snake! Miller told you not to pass on your legendary sneaking skills! They were using cardboard boxes to sneak past us!

Exactly. I made this point earlier and I believe it to be very true.
Accessibility and ease of use. We often think about what's convenient for us, but there are a lot of people who just want to hop in and play. Partly why COD4 and beyond got so big, it was accessible and doesn't take much thinking.Let me try phrasing it this way:
What is the benefit of matchmaking over an in-game LFG listing tool that allows to leave a description?
See, this works but is so much more complicated than just a simple board >_<
Same, I'll be able to mic up then too with work out of the way.I'm down for trying hard mode again later.
"I feel, safe."Dammit, Snake! Miller told you not to pass on your legendary sneaking skills!
After working with a group finder in MMOs with raids far more difficult than VoG with mechanics, I can't see why VoG's normal mode can't have a matchmaking option with the option to votekick people.
Yep. Same here too. We will probably have Afrocious to help us out.Same, I'll be able to mic up then too with work out of the way.
In terms of running the raid once it starts, no, what difference is there? I'm not talking about a difference of actually FORMING the raid - MM is easier and thats' why I said they should add it. I mean, once it starts, there's no hidden skill or coordination bonus given to teams that are formed offline rather than through MM.
another easy way to see it is with halo's firefight. ODST didn't have matchmaking so you had to invite players from your friend's lists or message boards. most people wanted to get their achievements done, so after taking the time to find people, you were committed to working together and getting the run done.
in reach, matchmade firefight made players indifferent. they didn't need to coordinate or communicate. for a while, matchmade games consisted of griefers who would shoot their own teammates. there was voice chat and matchmaking, so what happened?
i really like the lobby system used in CoD Ghosts' extinction mode though. The game doesn't start until everyone is ready, which lets you coordinate your class with your teammates and get to know them. This would also be a good solution for the Raid, although it'd require a redesign of Bungie's entire matchmaking and orbit system.
One reason why I've been saying that it feels like Bungie developed Destiny in a bubble. Many of the things they're doing have been done well in other games - even in their own. Boggles my mind why there are os many glaring oversights.
You can die twice per kill if you are maining your secondary, which I hate doing and suck at. It's not that I can't go positive, it's that I probably can't while running around with either a shotgun or fusion rifle.
If it was reduce the amount of points you get like I described instead of losing points like it is I could still play normal and just work on the bounty at a slower speed and get the points when the situation arises that I would use a shotgun/fusion or my heavy weapons.
I know it's just me whining but just sharing my opinion. I would really like to complete this, but it just doesn't go at all with my playstyle.

Is the patch out already or?
Welp I know I'm bringing a fuckin TEAM of sunsingers with me when I do the hard raid. So good for raids.
No real arguments against anything you said, except I don't believe Raid matchmaking, if it existed, would require a lower difficulty. It isn't overly hard at all at the right level and with the right equipment, just requires some coordination and role assignments. If communication is there, it is possible without a difficulty nerf. Also, as time progresses, more and more will have completed and be familiar with all the intricacies of the raid. Earth of course.

My group has fortunately only encountered a few random teleports at Atheon, but nothing major. Although I have not tried hard mode yet, I've heard the bugs are a bit more prevalent which sounds very frustrating given the uptick in difficulty.Half of the difficulty is the damn bugs that bungie has yet to fix. I'd rather not worry about them triggering at all than having to have that extra tension of having to maneuver around them. Goes to show how warped this game has made us lol, will still obsessively fight through the glitches to get the damn loots.
Earth of course.
I personally feel the Moon Strike is quicker to beat. I have done it in 5 minutes before. You just need a good Fireteam.Anyone know what the quickest strike is to do?
I'll be fully focused and ready now, was a good trial run.Yep. Same here too. We will probably have Afrocious to help us out.
And we really need a team of 29s.
