Gonna get mine at midnight then have people over on Friday. Questions-

1- What's the fastest way to unlock characters/stages?

2- Does only the host have to have unlocks or does everyone need stuff unlocked to use it?

1) By completing 120 matches, you get everyone. So, easiest way to build up that many is to just set the stock to 1 and KO yourself a bunch. Only downside is that you have to win a match to trigger the unlock battle, so every 10th match you should win to unlock the fighter.

2) No Idea, but considering the "you have to win" thing, I imagine it's just whoever wins the match.

I actually bought the Dark Souls 2 season pass yesterday because all three DLCs were out and I thought it'd be perfect to tide me over till Smash arrived. I didn't expect it this soon even in a perfect world. Those crowns in Dark Souls 2 are gonna have to wait. I gotsta settle it in Smash. I dunno what "it" even is but it has to be settled.

You can keep falling off the stage intentionally in a 1-stock match (if you don't mind your VS stats going bad), or just do a 1-stock match against a Lv 1 CPU. Either way works.
For stages, you need to do Kirby and Pac-Man's Final Smash (just go to training and make a Smash Ball appear to make it quick).
Captain Falcon and Villager must win 3 VS Matches to unlock.
For Flat Zone 2, unlock Mr. Game and Watch and then unlock the second page of challenges.
One is from unlocking Ness another from Wario.

Quick Attack on to a ledge, and as soon as you fall off you can do it again.

Eh, I enjoyed it for what it was. The thing that killed was the fact that it was 30fps.

Wasn't their a good way to unlock them through Classic Mode as well? I remember seeing a list as to what characters to use, what intensity to set, to get everyone in the quickest way.

Personally I wanna unlock them through that method rather than killing myself over and over. Plus scoring all those coins, Trophies, and Custom Parts.

Played competitively, god yes.

Played casual, it's okay for what it is. The amount of references and fan service is nearly up there with Smash considering how long the series has been going on. Coulda use a stronger single payer since it's online net code was garbage.

There is a glitch you press the home button before what you want and then press the home button quickly followed by A to get the roulette item you want in Classic Mode.

I think you can even hold A before the press the home button again and it'll work even easier.

Thanks. What I mean by the second question is say I have all the characters unlocked but my friend only has half. If I'm the host of the match on 3DS, can he use the characters I've unlocked or does he have to unlock them himself to use them?

So now my plans for this week are starting to look like this: Drive down to Montgomery today to hang out with my buddies today and tomorrow, culminating in getting the game Thursday night and playing for a bit. Saturday, possibly drive to Auburn if there's anything special going on--the Facebook event page is kind of cryptic. Sunday, drive to Tuscaloosa for their monthly Smash tournament with said friends and take everyone's money. Monday, local Birmingham weekly fight night.

Bowser Jr. is 7.0 with Bowser in Classic. Wario I think someone did it by beating 100 man melee. Edit: I am not sure but I heard use G&W on Classic to get R.O.B.

Hmmm...perhaps. I dunno, but I think it'd be faster to do it by just losing over and over. Granted, I'm not going to to do this and just unlock stuff as I play, but if you want everything the quickest I think that's the way to go.

Currently all the character unlocking methods beside the VS mode one are not yet authorized. What I've heard is Wario, R.O.B. and Jigglypuff are not unlocked by playing classic mode.
