Did they think game is not fun/good or is it more about the marketing issue?

Tested the postmaster packages; yes, you may still get blue engrams from them as well as purples, but every engram you do get will decrypt to it's correct color/item. Just got a legendary sniper, arms I already have, and 2 ascendant energies which are now legendary.

FYI I had a purple cryptarch package in my mail that I left until this patch. Opened it up and its all blue

Threy said this would be the case. Only ones found after the patch are guaranteed to be of that colour or better

I run a Void primary, secondary and heavy as a Voidwalker, and one game only got me to 37/500.

Packages weren't affected by this. That person just got really unlucky. I had 4 packages, got 2 purples out of them.

I think it's pretty obvious what happened here lol. They upgraded ascendant materials to legendary status so they could make legendary engrams turn into them more often. This way your legendary engrams are still turning into legendary items. N'est-ce pas?

Umm.

Prior to this change legendary engrams had a better than average chance of turning into a blue item (roughly twice the chances of turning into a blue item), some of which were ascendant materials. Now, it can only turn into a purple item, including ascendant materials. without data, we have no idea if the chances of a legendary engram turning into ascendant materials is higher or lower than before but I imagine it probably isn't higher in total, but is higher compared to your chance of getting a legendary weapon or armor piece, simply as a result of having fewer total items to roll against (all of them being decent) compared to the way it used to be.

I'm at lvl 23 with Rahool, only have gotten like 5 purples in total.

But then again, I have no exotic bounties after 100+ hours of gaming.

VERY RARELY did I ever get purples from him before the patch.
