I <3 my Titan.

Just completed the Weekly Nightfall Strike and got a Vanquisher VIII. It's not the best legendary auto rifle but helps as I was trying to save marks to purchase one so I can alternate Suros Regime with my Truth rocket launcher.

I agree that it is a poor design that objective based game types don't actually require the objectives to win. Basically everything might as well be TDM.
Throwing in an objective affects player behavior and movement, so at least there's that.

So I got Toland's Legacy today when I turned in some random bounties. Can I just do any 25 strikes? Man seems like such a time waste and bore.

  1. Nap. mmmm, naps. COMPLETE
  2. Help another 1 or 2 people through the Nightfall. Gotta knock it out early! AkaDemik and PikaPuff get first dibs if they're on, will ask for anyone who needs it in here afterward if they're not around
  3. Do my Weekly Heroic at 28. Will want two to help with that, this one is rough!
  4. Quick Crucible fix
  5. Tiger Strike marathon all night long. Will be recording reward results and probably streaming this.

Watch out for posts about each of the above if you want on my fireteams tonight!
Destiny time. let's get it going. will be looking for AkaDemik and PikaPuff online and asking here for takers if I can't find them

Holy shit the last fight was a damn mess, apart that i'm pretty much destroyed and i got work in 5 hours lol

Stay on the pillars they won't explode

And i'm in total panic mode lol

Anyway, i did something awesome at least

I think there is a 4th crate at the end of the boss, I started looking but the timer ended.

What stuff did you get as a reward? I got the white shader and a Legendary scout rifle called Vision of Confluence.

White shader, legendary rifle, raid shoulder gear, ass shards at gogo

Donnow if i'll bother upgrading the sniper rifle....i'm waiting for THE exotic sniper

Goddamn, Templar is taking long to die. Bastard just won't go down. At least the Oracles and Conflux part are done with. Still got Gorgons, time portals, and Athean to beat.

Ended up doing Rumble for the Thorn bounty and that's definitely the way to go.

Using a void fusion rifle and playing like a complete douche has netted me about 50-55 points per match. Luckily the fusion rifle I have is wildly overpowered too.

Bungie made a HUGE step with improving the loot system, but there is one thing missing. They need to make all loot valuable in so form. To elaborate, by the 20's breaking down greens is only good for glimmer. Give greens some more use. How about random materials from planets? Every now and then an ascended shard/energy. With such a small step, they can make all loot exciting - not just the purple and yellow.

Is this feasible guys? Do you agree?
I love all those ideas. I've also been saying that greens should dismantle into planet-specific materials.

Hang on, if those Speaker emblems do nothing, why the fuck are they 7 motes of light? That takes ages to acquire. Fucking waste of money, grrr.
Having a cool emblem is worth it to me. I honestly don't use motes on much else except for cosmetic stuff, though I think I'll start buying engrams from Xur this weekend.

Sweet, I got the same basically but no Raid gear which was really annoying. :/

Which shader are you using?

That's just the default one, the Dead Orbit chest and greaves are naturally black.

Actually, that's an older build of my Titan from about a week ago. I knew I wanted to make a nice .gif of him just kinda standing around, but I've kinda been putting it off until earlier today.

I got a Hawkian-style knee-to-the-back-of-the-head kill earlier in control. Damn satisfying. Shame the match was filled with Fusion rifles and shotguns, bleh. Need more open maps where they're basically useless, since of corner campers.

I'll upload it once I figure out how to split a few seconds of video from a clip and turn it into a gif.

Tiger knee ftw!

I used to get a mix. Sometimes blues and sometimes purples. Sometimes both too. So it could just be he and you have gotten unlucky with blues.

Ive gotten a few deliveries and the majority were all blues. Once I got a purple that then turned into a blue.

A few days ago I got another delivery but I left it there waiting for the patch. Finally picked it up today and got a purple for a purple engram. Felt good.

Hex Caster ARC auto rifle. Not a big fan of the low stability though. Think I did better with my blue Shingen but I may just not be used to it yet.

I think the problem stems from not being able to decide who gets what loot during the raid. In WoW, a new group of characters is guaranteed to walk away from a raid with something that makes the whole raiding group better, since people can need and greed, or even DKP items. Thanks to the individualized private loot in Destiny, it is entirely possible for a 6 man group not to get a single upgrade in a run.

What attitude? I enjoyed the raid itself enough to do it multiple times without reward throughout the week. I just don't like the idea of getting a cosmetic item two weeks running for the effort it takes to complete it. Hell I'll take a weapon I won't even use if it means I'll get more ascendant material out of it.

Edit: I'd even take a shader I don't currently own!

The difference is that in wow everyone sees the gear drop and there is a system for determining who gets it. Right now people don't see anything, it sucks.

@Vespene and cpp_is_king: Those are totally valid points, and ones I hadn't really considered. Seeing the loot that drops, even if it doesn't go to you does make a difference. At least you know someone is getting something, which makes your group stronger. And I never even considered the fact that 6 people could go through Vault and none of them could see a gear drop. To have no one in the group progress at all in terms of gear would be a huge bummer.

@Ryuuga I didn't mean your attitude specifically. Just the general view I've seen from some people around the net. That attitude being that, "I did the raid I'm entitled to a measured upgrade every time until I need no more." I know that isn't what you were saying, I just kinda wound up using your post as a spring board for it, apologies.
