First experience in the raid and this is what I came away with
A) they should have had some simple mechanics in the strikes to get people ready for doing more than shooting
B) got an exotic rocket Launcher adorned with all these lion heads and some wood grain (also got legendary boots and a diamond encrusted warlock bond)
C) easily the best part of the game so far
D) D is for dinner, and I should eat it before joining the raid, about to make it now
E) those gorgon zola patrol team, God damn they're annoying
P. S. Hate those vanishing steps

Lol oh yea. You know what was the hardest part for me? Jumping that gap lol, I must of died 15 times trying it. Didn't help with getting lost in the caves either.

The aura around some of the mobs. only those ones have a shield and they only do extra damage until the shield is down.

It's the aura color you see glowing around the enemies.
You should look at the aura around the enemies.

Does anybody know if that Superblack shader is actually obtainable right now? I haven't seen it ingame yet, just on the shader previewer website.
The color surrounds the actual enemy in an actual aura. The color it is corresponds to what the shield is weak to.

Out of curiosity, does Weapons of Light bypass the damage cap on lower level enemies?
I'm a Titan so I should probably know that but I usually just go Striker against lower level stuff. That and I typically use Blessing of Light when I'm on Defender so I haven't used Weapons of Light that much.

In the middle of a Tiger strike, booted from servers. I couldn't even imagine how pissed I'd be if it were the weekly I ran yesterday...or god forbid, a raid.

this isn't just for nightfall, but any time there are shielded enemies. in the nightfall, there's also a Burn modifier- this week's is Arc- which both increases damage you deal and damage you take from that element.

No worries, I might moan about the drops I get, but It won't diminish the fun I have with the raid itself. I just hope in time the story missions offer an equally interesting mission structure.

- Buy a solar Legendary Rocket Launcher (I have no legendary heavy weapons & it would help with the weekly strike).
- Buy a rare Sparrow once I save just a bit more.

The lowest level for raiding is lv26. You can still enter but get ready to get killed and do ass damage at the same time.

I bought a Sparrow the other day and I really haven't noticed much of a difference honestly. So if you have other needs I'd probably skip the Sparrow for now.
So, you can, but the rewards diminish as you go up in level. If you do the highest level first, you get the 9 coins and are done for the week heroic-wise,
