The Weekly Heroic Strike doesn't matchmake? What the fuck are you kidding me? It runs the same strikes that you can matchmake into but you can't matchmake that one? The one that actually gives you something good? Seriously, what?

I want so so bad!love the new patch got me my 1st exotic!
Also got new legendary chest piece and arms, got my my boots from the vanguard guy. Now level them back up, drop down to lvl 25 with new equipment got to get back to 26 and beyond.

Agreed. At first I thought it was a good thing, cause you didn't/wouldn't want randoms cause they were gonna be 'hard'. Well that is just a bad excuse.

I see things like this on the smartphone app.
Legend-> Advisors; then scroll down and you'll see the bonuses you are close to unlocking. Grimoire cards also show you the info, but navigating them is a pain.

Yeah it seems like crazy town to me. It's not that much harder. Besides, it's the SAME STRIKES YOU CAN MATCHMAKE INTO. That's what is getting me. THE SAME STRIKES. Ugh. You know what makes a hard mission with pubs even harder? Making you solo it. I just don't understand the decision. Raid, yeah, but this, no way. I just got killed having chipped away at that dumb tank boss for a while.

Just got this from a Blue engram.
This has been my main for multiple levels now. fantastic pistol especially for it's fire rate and steadiness. I flop between explosive rounds and the larger clip depending on my mood...
I will likely only replace it once I find my The Last Word... some day... some day....

It's not a total waste if it helps you do the normal/hard raids earlier so you get more chances at the raid drops, but... you also aren't getting those shards back.
I sank 21 shards into a chest piece before I knew about raid gear and got 3 shards when I dismantled it. I got lucky with raid gear drops but needed 65+ shards to max everything out which was a little rough.
The fewer (ideally 0) shards you put into non-raid/exotic gear, the better.
I heard most people do it to get the strike without dying bounty. It's pretty horrible. I report those people each time. It will catch up to them eventually if they keep doing it.

Anyone have any tips on how to cheese through the PvP part of Thorns bounties? I really don't care for the PvP component of this game.

The worst is playing with people that just farm for materials in the area. They willingly queue up just to go grab resources and let you do the work.

trying to imagine the awesomeness...destiny app doesn't do armor justice.
Imo, find a void sniper rifle and try not to get killed. Control maps are good for predicting where people will be moving. Take it slow, and you'll get it!

I really wish Bungie would give me any kind of information about what's going on with the matchmaking during a strike that's already in progress. I started the Mars strike and one guy leaves the game, like usual, making me and the other guy fight all the way up to the tank, and then he leaves too. I finish the tank by myself and drive up to the final boss's location. I wait for maybe 10-15 minutes and no one joined so I decided to quit the strike.
This leaves me with a few questions..
Can people join at any phase during the strike? Do you have to wait until the team reaches the next restricted zone? I've joined up even during the last boss in a few of them but other than that, I have no idea.
Does my strike take some kind of matchmaking priority since it's already in progress?
Is there any way to find out if any kind of matchmaking is currently going on at the moment so I won't quit the strike and forfeit all my progress? I already figured this one out and the answer is nope.
This leaves me with a few questions..

They haven't given a date. They only said to hang onto it because it's "day will come." Who knows unfortunately.

So doing the Queen Bounty for Sol Progeny solo without any void weapons was a pretty stupid idea... fucking harpys are stupid fucking sponges and the progeny can almost instant kill.
it's probably random like everything else in this game. too hard to actually program a good matchamking system for bungie.
I joined during the last boss fight a couple of times, it felt like robbing them from items and points. I even got the bounty/trophy "finish a strike without dying" from that, lol.

Except it was 1 day after I finished doing .... (something)... for a Hawkmoon.
I feel the dismantling was warranted.
The normal and hard Raid ships look like garbage, I have no idea who thought those would be a "special reward."
