If you're talking about the 'Gain more resources' bonus from farming materials, I believe it's only a 'chance' that you'll get 2 materials from 1 harvest.

I take it raid gear has random bonuses? Not had any drop in my two runs a and forgot to ask what my friends got. Not looking forward to having a mish-mash set due to RNG.

Go to the Dust Palace, you'll get your 200 in no time. Took me like 90 minutes yesterday. Having a good arc fusion rifle helps.

Getting the "use of user-generated media is not allowed for your account" and "use of chat and messaging..." errors when trying to sign in, is this what others are seeing when trying to get in now?

You are well qualified for the vault of glass and the nightfall should be do-able too, especially this week. Have you even tried to complete them? Because this I need to be level 28 or something to even attempt them is more a self-imposed limitation than the game really.
I can't answer that - I haven't been able to get into a group for the raid due to my work schedule. Saddens me deeply.

I've had the bonus for Old Russia, and I always wondered why I kept getting 1 spinmetal. Then sometimes I got 2 spinmetal and.....chest runs are more worth it.

I tried the nightfall, but I can't kill shit. I needed to use the sniper and the Fusion rifle, but the problem is ammo, and they don't drop ammo and the 5 minutes cool down is fucking things for me even more!

Yep, with the time sink and friends only matchmaking the raid should not be random rewards e.g. Raid sets. These should be sequential, I don't have endless hours and mates to run raids over and over again with random rewards at the end.

OK last night I finally hit light level 25. And I have this creeping feeling that I've run out of steam...
My Warlock gear is mostly purple now. I have gotten zero legendary weapons so far, running with good blues for the time being. But my armor is better, got a Queen's helmet from some tedious Mars weekly strike, and bought intelligence/discipline trench coat and boots from the warlock vanguard merchant. Gloves are some random blues.
The loot gods have not been kind to me.
But I sense other problems. I have now seen 90% of the game content. I do not care that much about the PvP side, because everyone in there is ranked to high heaven and using the exact same loadout, every single fucking time.
What bothers me is the state of the story. I know that the Halo series had a rather silly narrative, but with Destiny I was promised (and I expected) proper high-sci-fi opera. And it just is not there. We have the enigmatic white orb hovering above a city which it is somehow "protecting" (and we never get to see how) and we have an equally enigmatic Darkness creeping in on the solar system. And how does this Darkness manifest its supreme evil? By throwing race after race of dumb brutes and zergling level mobs at us. I mean, is there a single intelligent evil race in this game? The Fallen are just pathetic cannon fodder. The Hive are mindless. The Vex use zerg tactics and way too much teleportation and the Cabal are the embodiment of a Warhammer fan fiction gone wrong. It is implied that there is some connecting force behind them that is pulling the strings, but where? If Bungie intends to wait for over three games to show us this proper villain, it will be nothing but a letdown. Who is the queen? Why is she able to control some Fallen vandals?
When I think about a proper sci-fi story line, I imagine the villains as The Shadows from Babylon 5. Or the singular evil orb from The Fifth Element. In Destiny, there is nothing like that. And I feel that this is a grievously missed opportunity.
As for the game play, I had fun, but the fun has come to a close. When I go out trying to grind for bounties, there are lv28 campers at every spawn point. Viciously trying to stab you in the face if you snag even one of their kills for your own 200 Fallen head shot bounty.
The higher tier strikes and missions end in tedious bullet sponge boss fights. Even with a proper fireteam, these fights are soul crushingly boring and the way the adds spawn in some cases is downright insulting. You can prevent getting one-shotted by these bosses with high enough gear, but to get that gear, you need to be able to kill these things first. It is a stupid paradox. And the variety wears thin real quick. The timers for vendor updates are rather silly as well.
Sorry for the rant, but these are things I've been thinking recently. I hope the expansions bring some much needed story and variety to this half-baked triple-A conundrum.

I'm getting weird messages every time I try to get on to Destiny on my PS4. It says "Use of user-generated media is not allowed for you account." Then it says "Use of this application's chat and messaging features is not allowed for your account". Anyone know what this means? This is the first time I've seen this and google was less than helpful.

Don't worry, PSN is having issues right now, that's probably why. I've gotten that same message a few times now.
Tried Weekly Strike yesterday at lvl 28 with two buddies, final boss slaughtered us...
Is it just me or is this specific strike easily the WORST of them all? Actually, I like most strikes but this one on Mars is a chore to get through. Everytime it appeared in the playlist I saw people leaving the fireteam.
Way too long with way too many bullet sponge mini-bosses, and the enemy spawns at the final boss are too frequent and annoying. Can't count the amount of times I died because some random Psions spawned on top of me :/.
I was planning to do my first Nightfall this week but ehhhhhhh. Not so sure anymore. Should've gone last week :'(

I keep entering the Orbit when I leave the tower, wanting to go to Earth for a public event and I mindlessly click the Tower again and end up where I started... Happened a few to me already...

Got the same messages, when I did a hard reset got lots of beeps. Next time I tried I let it sit there, gavea Bungie server error message, put me to Press (X) To Play screen, froze and now the controller and the power switch do nothing... going to have to flip the power switch and that means it's going to slap my hand and tell me not to do that ever again... urgh...
When this happens it's not uncommon for those already connected to remain that way, for a while at least.
No one knows yet. people speculate it's either an easter egg or will be used for an event in the future.

You can cheese him to death if you get into the tiny place between the front ramp and the wall on the right side of the stage, there are some crates that cover you and you can shoot from there jumping or something, quite hilarious.
Just bring arc weapons and he will be death in no time.

I think the special perks are set, but strength/discipline/intelligence bonuses are random. My buddy has strength greaves, I got discipline. Also noticed that my engram helm
of inmost light has 1,5 times the strength roll
compared to the one people bought at Xur.
Nightfall is easier than the weekly. Arc damage just wrecks, only watch out for the psions, cheese the boss by hiding behind the ramps and you're good.
Don't go in solo. Get some gaffers to assist you. Everyone has the ammo issue that's the modifier, have some patience. It's definitely do-able if you have a decent team.

"Up" is a big word for what I'd call the state of PSN right now. Can't login still.
Weekly is quite harder than nightfall this week.
Stick on the right upper platform and shoot him from there. Keep killing every enemy that come to the platform.
Problem is when boss nearly death he will spam his missile. If you have defender titan in your team he can lure the boss to shoot at the him and let other people nuke at the boss.
