Tried Weekly Strike yesterday at lvl 28 with two buddies, final boss slaughtered us...

Is it just me or is this specific strike easily the WORST of them all? Actually, I like most strikes but this one on Mars is a chore to get through. Everytime it appeared in the playlist I saw people leaving the fireteam.

Way too long with way too many bullet sponge mini-bosses, and the enemy spawns at the final boss are too frequent and annoying. Can't count the amount of times I died because some random Psions spawned on top of me :/.

I was planning to do my first Nightfall this week but ehhhhhhh. Not so sure anymore. Should've gone last week :'(

It's much faster and even a little easier on
NF due to the arc damage modifier. The only part to worry about is managing the Psions at the boss, just save your HW ammo for them and make sure you call targets. (You can always cheese that part if you don't want to risk it.)

If you have an arc sniper and an arc heavy, just bring ammo packs and take stuff out from distance. Even the shield bosses go down really quick if you make your arc shots count.

The speed the boss drops in NF with arc weapons feels good. They should use that as the standard for every strike boss, imo.

Been getting "destiny servers not available" for over an hour now.

Bungie should really do something about this, for bounties sometimes I get few time windows to do them and get the other bounties, but servers are down the time resets before I get there.

Maybe extend the time of bounties to two days instead of one? so whenever something like this happens or you just were busy that day you have the other. And of-course they should offer double the bounties for the extended time.

Thanks for the Nightfall advice everyone, will try that next time! Forgot about the Arc damage multiplier, that might actually make clearing the ads easier than weekly :)

One tip if you've got trouble on the Weekly : if you concentrate on the adds, they stop spawning after a while, so you can focus on the boss.

Is there any reason to fully upgrade a weapon with ass energy? I thought I was seeing a difference with damage upgrades but people were saying it only improves your damage against higher level enemies. Seeing as there's nothing that's level 29 outside of the Hard raid, should I even bother?

Trophy, thats all im doing it for.

I think the special perks are set, but strength/discipline/intelligence bonuses are random. My buddy has strength greaves, I got discipline. Also noticed that my engram helm
of inmost light has 1,5 times the strength roll
compared to the one people bought at Xur.

Nightfall is easier than the weekly. Arc damage just wrecks, only watch out for the psions, cheese the boss by hiding behind the ramps and you're good.

Don't go in solo. Get some gaffers to assist you. Everyone has the ammo issue that's the modifier, have some patience. It's definitely do-able if you have a decent team.

Ok so Arc weapons.. I don't have any on Primary but got a Rare Machine Gun and fusion Rifle for special..

What's the easiest way to get a Rare Scout Rifle, I'm assuming it'll do more damage than my Exotic and Legendary weapons right?

Note to others:

If you start a daily challenge before the reset, and you finish after the reset, you get nothing. What a ripoff. PEACE.
I swear I see this post each and every day, after reset time. ^^
Needs to be repeated so they fix this, or enough people know about it, though.

aw, boo. Everything was going fine until I logged out to help with a bounty on my bf's account. Now it's all "Destiny servers are not available."

PSN seems okay-ish for me, though. (Slow loading of profiles, but still connected.)

The nightfall mission is incredibly easy even if you dont have Arc weapons.

All the team leader needs to do is to race across the final room before the boss spawns to the top left hand corner and jump over the boxes and hide under there.

He cannot be shot, no mobs spawn and he just takes pop shots at the mobs from there.

All the other two need to do is keep leaving the fire team and rejoining if they are killed.

Recommended anyone doing the Daily will need ammo packs since the Juggler skull is on which doesn't allow for ammo drops.

I think it is important to note for everyone participating in the Raid to have a certain mind set so everyone can complete it without it being all stress, and little reward.

I would hope everyone has a Mic, but hope that no one with said mic finds the need to yell at another player for his misfortunes.
We are adults, not children, so constructive criticism gets results quicker than pointing fingers.
Positive reinforcement after failure can be the difference of completing the raid, and people dropping out.

If you feel a player is not pulling his own weight, it is time to change his role. If for some reason he is still unable to do the new task, change it again, and put an overseer on him/her to be able to help when the need comes.
If you feel you are holding your team back, be vocal yourself, and ask for tips.

The raid is for level 26+, and is doable at level 25. This is NOT a validation that going into the raid with level 25s is going to work out peachy.
I strongly suggest pushing for 27 for all party members if you wish for success with less stress.

Having a leader can be a good thing, but a democracy can be even better when it comes to figuring the mechanics out.
Make sure everyone hears each other out before dissecting/testing their theories.

And lastly, just have fun.
If you are getting angry while playing the raid, then you are probably putting a lot of work on yourself. Joke, make fun of your failures. Blame others for your failures, even though they are not even in the party.
Talk to each other as peers, and be glad you get to spend time with them on a game you all enjoy.

I don't feel so bad for limping through it at level 20 with one other guy after reading this.

They are peppering serves for the system update to 2.0...

Heard it from a birdy lol

This. All of this.

And I can vouch for this, since GutZ is our unofficial Raid Party Leader and we run through the Raid, start to finish, in under an hour.

No, stick with your exotic/legendary weapon. Elemental primaries are only found in the raid, and that can only be a void auto rifle, solar scout rifle or arc pulse rifle (I think). You're good, fusion rifle should wreck everything. And pull out the machine gun for bosses, psions or whenever you run intro trouble. Remember, the game does not give you ammo for whatever weapon you're wielding. Find yourself short of primary? Switch to your special and vice versa.

You can cheese him to death if you get into the tiny place between the front ramp and the wall on the right side of the stage, there are some crates that cover you and you can shoot from there jumping or something, quite hilarious.

Just bring arc weapons and he will be death in no time.

At some point the boss walks over to the other side, though. Does he come back after a certain amount of time or is it health% scripted? If it's based off his health, how do I safely damage him enough to get him back to the safe spot?
I'd like to try it but can't imagine having a decent chance as a 27 Sunbro.

ERGH!

HELP MEEEEEEE.

So tonight a friend has suddenly decided he's not around....

He was the party leader for the raid, can my other friends and I carry on from the checkpoint?

OR do we have to wait for him?

:\ LAME!

You can carry on. Just get someone new in there, happens all the time.

Each of you try and login to the raid alone. and see where you are. The raid party I was with had a glitch where we knew who the party leader started as, but somehow we think it may have changed while we were playing.
I was able to jump in by my self, and was right where we left off.
Don't know if it will work, but its worth a shot.

Yup, it's both.

Yup, checkpoints are assigned to the party leader. You're out of luck til he gets back.

So say he came on we went in and he changed someone else to party leader, would we then be okay to get someone else to replace him?

Praying this works for us! Cheers for the help guys! We're on the final boss so just want to beat it!

Yesterday RNG decided to grace me with a Zombie Apocalypse WF47 and some legendary Titan gauntlets (I'm a Warlock)...

I already have The Swarm. Is the Zombie Apocalypse better? I need ass energy to do the final 2 upgrades on my Suros Regime, and was thinking of dismantling the Swarm if the Zombie is better.

It's the truth I was there.

Are they both of the same elemental damage ? Would be wise to keep them if not the case.
