Hey Guys, I'm a lvl 19 Hunter and almost level 20; I still haven't completely beaten Venus yet.
What should I do after I reach lvl 20 to keep leveling up both my skll tree (I haven't started upgrading Bladedancer yet), and get good gear? Should I just go straight to the crucible and just fight in the crucible forever?
Also, am I able to level up my skill tree if the lvl cap is determined by armor after lvl 20? I wanted to try out Bladedancer, but couldn't deal with starting my skills completely over.

Well, it's my mistake but the reason I say it is because every strike that I've been on top with kills I've been getting 5 rewards instead of 2 or 3. And in another game the one with the most kills got 5 rewards as opposed to our 2. I guess it's just random then.

Lol, what time you doing it? I think last night we did started around 11:30 and finished 2:30. I don't think its hard but can be tricky with timing and if people don't know what to do.
The first 4 sections I think we got through in pretty much one go. The last bit with the boss isn't hard but you need to be working as a team and know what role you will do. After about 6 tries on the boss due to some people leaving and other bits we took the boss down pretty quick on the final go.
I suggest reading some guides if you want to get through it quicker, also find the location for chests since they give lots of Ascendant.
If its not too late I'll join in to help if you need it. Btw what rank are you? I noticed in our match 4 of us were 28-29 Titans and I think that helped with using defender.

Really, really want the Crest of Alpha Lupi for Hunter. I've wanted it since launch. If I do get it from a drop or from Xur, it's going to very hard wearing it over Lucky Raspberry. I do love my extra Heavy weapon and Fusion Rifle ammo.
You'll still get the special ammo boost. Aside from being the most aesthetically pleasing chest arnor I've seen, the revive perks are surprisingly great. I don't even have to break sprint to revive a teammate.
I kept an upgraded legendary chest piece in the vault in case I want to try an exotic helm at some point, but I'm very very happy with Alpha Lupi so far.
I looted a rare engram from a chest this morning and Rahool decoded it into my first ever Legendary item! I was super excited until I looked in my inventory and it was a pair of gloves for a Warlock (my character is a Titan). Oh well. Better luck next time.
At least my future Warlock is guaranteed a legendary when he eventually hits level 20!

I have mine upgraded to a 42 bullet mag and when the clip is empty a fast reload. It's very powerfull. Not all SPs have this upgrade available though.

The funny thing is that I'm decked out in all legendary/exotic gear but I was stockpiling the shards to eventually use on raid gear so I can get to level 30. I've only done the raid once, though, and guess what my reward at the end was? That's right, 3 shards.
Whenever we could get 6?

Easy peasy to get. I have a checkpoint saved that works for both this bounty and the 10 Hive Majors one.
Do the first story mission on the moon up to the point where the doors open. Kill everything BUT the Hallowed Knight that come out the door (lots of thralls, so easy to do the fusion rifle one and there are three Hallowed Acolytes, too, that count for the majors/ultras quest) when the Hallowed Knight is all that is left, die. You'll reset to the door opening. Do it again, you'll have the fusion done in 2-3 times. Then I just go to orbit when I'm done to preserve it.

There are very few Exotics that are actually specially and worth the spot they occupy. Something like Suros Regime or Hard Light, you are better off with a purple AR and use a more "special" exotic for another slot. Like the Ice Breaker or Gjallahorn

Yeah, I got mine last night. I haven't hit the max ammo upgrade or the fast reload on empty mag yet but the gun is a total beast. I was literally laughing out loud last night after I got it. It shreds enemies like crazy.

Ishtar Commons on Venus(the place you spawn for the Nexus Strike). There are multiple fast spawning clusters of vex. Soften them up a little with single shots and go to work. You can also catch groups of dregs exiting spawn rooms. Usually takes me less than 20 minutes to knock out this bounty.
Every other time this question gets asked the answer is yes. What makes you say no?

Are you saying Suros isn't worth slotting? Because fully upgraded its a beast, regardless of what people may think of the slow RoF.
try comparing them both to see what's better in the Crucible before and after the upgrade that affects rate of fire.

Keep one stock for PVP and fully upgrade the other for PvE. Problem solved.
On another note, just know, random strangers, that when you don't bring an arc weapon or ammo packs to a nightfall, I secretly hate you.
That said, I learned that a hunter can stealth into the boss room, shoot him 3 times, then run out without incident.

As far as I'm aware all weapon damage and armor stats are normalized in crucible PVP. The only time that the damage stat matters is in PVE or Iron Banner.
If I'm wrong however then feel free to nova bomb/arc blade/hulk smash me in the face numerous times.

There's even a better/easier one (the moon one requires you to run the first part of the mission).
If you go into patrol on cosmodrome, go STRAIGHT from where you spawn you will see a tin shack with stairs going down on your left about 30 m from where you start...go down those stairs...at the bottom, go right...you will see an opening to a room...inside spawn 3 Hive majors (one is a Knight)...kill, turn around, go back to the original opening where the stairs decended, turn back around and go into the room again...they keep spawing @ about the 6 second rate, once you reach this very short distance...they only trigger though once you reach the room opening.

People always hunt for signal in the noise it's an actual evolutionary trait, that said it is also highly amusing both to observe and when I catch myself doing it!
Couple pages late, but no you don't.
The dark beyond. You will have one or two objectives before reaching this part. Kill everything but the knight. When you're done go back to orbit. The checkpoint stays so whenever you need quick fusion rifle or hive major kills (level 9+) just choose this mission. You will spawn right outside of the gate. You will have to watch the cutscene everytime though.

Welp. Last night I got my first exotic, a sniper rifle called 'Patience and Time.' It was a random gift after a match in the Crucible. I have two purple armour pieces and everything else is blue. I'm saving up for a purple weapon and then this thing comes along. I'm happy but not happy-happy, you know? This game seems real random.
A short term priority is to level up my purple equipment because it's the only way to raise my light level. Early purple armour upgrades take 16 bloody helium filaments. I had to do a short patrol on the moon to get up to sixteen. I go back into the Crucible for a couple of matches and that's enough to level up the other piece I have. 16 more filaments! So now before I do the thing I want to do I have to circle the moon again to get these components.
On one hand the grind is brutal and the struggle is real. On the other hand it's like "Oh you were mediocre in Crucible so have an exotic." I don't know how to feel anymore.

Got this in VOG yesterday, is it useless if it has no elemental damage?
It has Solar damage and is an amazing rocket launcher. Especially once you unlock wolf pack.
Agreed, it is amazing in both PvE and PvP.
I am a bit hesitant on fully upgrade it with Energy though since I am not sure how much the AR nerf will affect it, even though the patch has no ETA and I can't see them doing anytning too substantial. I predict a long range damage reduction. Otherwise, besides Raid weapons, I feel it's the best all around primary I (personally) could use.
I honestly don't know, just saying I asked the same question a few OT's ago and was told yes they do count and I've seen the question asked many times as well and the answer was always yes too.
