PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | October 2014

I want one. And I made a friend in the states actually look at it and he says its awesome.

My debate when it comes to XMAS is whether to buy the box PCH-2000 set and not get my color choice

or

Get my color choice and have to buy a memory card.

Choose the option that'll allow you to get a 64GB memory card.

TOTP2: Pre-order Project Diva F 2nd.

I'll be getting Freedom Wars as soon as it drops.

I normally miss out on the multi-player of all these hunting games... not this time!

So..the none boxed version. It comes with a 16GB but ugly color.

Light pink & white it is!

Or you could save a little more and get everything the way you want. I spent a year waiting for the right moment to get a Vita-2000 and a 64GB memory card.

Oh shit. NFS MW Vita shares your profile with the PS3 version. Meaning I don't start from scratch and have a lot of stuff already available to me. I wanted to start from scratch as if I had no progress. Being able to go for every most wanted vehicle from the start doesn't feel right. I mean I still have to do all the races and everything to earn my mods but still.

Oh, that sucks. I think it wouldn't help to delete the save data from your PS3 because the data is on EA servers.

Doesn't Fedex mean you have to pay very high taxes?

Everytime I order something shipped through Fedex, I get hit by customs taxes, but depending on the store, they can undervalue the order.

I think the only solution is to delete my Vita save, start again and just make sure I don't connect to the internet when I play it.

Will that really do it? I don't know, I feel like it'll still pull your info from the servers somehow.

Isn't your time zone just 3-4 hours apart from Europe? I think that's still pretty okay.

Well, yeah, same with the US, but my experience with ToukidenGAF teached me that people around the world have different playing habits than I, so things doesn't work :p

I'm so tempted to get this game, but I don't want to play it and then some time later the upgrade will come at full price. I lucked out on SSD and Toukiden Kiwami.

Well, if you get it at launch, it'll be at least a year before a expansion comes out. But it will come out, so if you wait for a definitive version you'll never play.

And they (Fedex/DHL) hardly argue about the declared value. My 2000 ("portable gaming device") was undervalued to $70, so I payed fees over $70 instead of $180.

Yea..I can just twiddle my thumbs for a year haha! =D

I can't lug my PS3 around. btw this is the model I want

Anyone happen to know how much space Shinovi takes up? Need to make sure there's room reserved in the fridge for it.

Oh crap. I just realised you cant delete save data on Vita without deleting the game. So if I do try that then I have to redownload the game. Bleh.

Not sure this is the right topic (but I couldn't find a Vita OT), but recently my Vita has started to shut down randomly while playing/in sleep mode. We're talking completely here, like I turn it back on by holding down the power and it asks me to set the time again. Any ideas how to fix it?

To all German Gaffers in this thread: they started a new promotion on the German store. For every 50€ you put into your PSN account via Paypal you'll get 10€ as a bonus. Promotion ends on the 30th October.

That's a shame but maybe we'll work something out!

That's happening to my brother's Vita, he's going to have to change its battery.

Ugh, don't even get me started on Tekken. It's my favourite fighting franchise - we've got Street Fighter; Dead or Alive; UMvC; Blazblue; Injustice; Mortal Kombat and basically everything else you could want, but we're missing Tekken.

I'd really, really love to see one on the console. I was initially quite jealous that 3DS got Tekken 3D, until I realised it was pretty much just a port of Tekken 6.

Luckily, the PSP Tekken 6 works on Vita, so at least that's something. It's a very good port too.

Harada said if Tekken Revolution was successful on PS3, they'd port it to Vita. TR has a few million downloads on PS3, but nothing. #rip
not that a f2p fighter is much to cry about

it's annoying because that's the only topic of discussion of this thread. it shouldn't even be called PSN thread if the only discussion is about random vita games and not the other games that come out on the store.

but whatever, i don't care enough to get in an argument over this, i'm just saying is that it was better the way it was before, vita gaf in a thread, and the dedicated ps store updates threads every week.

You're kinda funny since I've seen people coming here asking about PS4/PS3 stuffs all the time, and almost every of them got answered.

Anyone happen to know how much space Shinovi takes up? Need to make sure there's room reserved in the fridge for it.

Around 15mm x 13mm. I think you will have enough space.

Sorry, I don't know :p. I heard Dekamori is around 3GB, so this one could probably around 2GB.

Well I guess a year isn't too bad.

I should have added that I'm going by SSD and Toukiden: SSD launched on the US a little over a month after vanilla, and Toukiden was released on Feb 2014, with Extreme coming over early 2015.

The sequels in Japan released in less than a year from the US release, of course.

Nice update, Sony.

Yeah I just don't want to get it then a couple months later an improved version comes out.

Haha, I forgot about that.

Pretty clear that was just saying what people wanted to hear. I don't think he ever had plans to release it on Vita.

You can check on the Japanese store. The game won't be dual audio or anything so the size will most likely be very similar.

Tekken Revolution has been a huge flop, the community promptly rejected it and returned to playing TTT2. Nobody cares about it anymore.

A million downloads of a f2p game != success

Hello there, I'm new here! (well, I've posted in some other threads but it's my first post in this one :P)

Nice to see a strong Vita community here since I absolutely love it, I barely use my PS3 now and I've had a Vita since launch here in Italy.

Having said that, I have two questions: does anyone know if by updating to 3.30 I'll lose the JPN demos I got thanks to Package Installer? I know you won't be able to use that method anymore, but what if I've already downloaded some apps?
And secondly, if that's not the case, can anyone suggest me a nice app/demo I can download before updating? (less than 1.4GB since that's all the space I have)
I've already downloaded Freedom Wars demo, Project Diva F2nd demo, the Yakuza Ishin companion app (will it even work if I don't have Yakuza Ishin? It's downloading right now so I can always cancel it), Niconico and Crunchyroll :)

I... don't really know how to end this post, so thank you in advance. I hope we can get along! (oh wow, that sounds incredibly cheesy.)

They make big pretty cases for those in your country? We get cardboard cards with scratch-off things.

Yep. Scratch card are inside those blue boxes (game cases). Same for 20€ & 50€ PSN credits. Nice to get new cases for games if old ones get broken somehow :P.

Interesting, I'll probably buy a 64Gb card then. Last time I ordered stuff from the US was through USPS/Correios about a year ago, and it took 5 and 6 months for them to arrive. Completely ridiculous.

You can transfer the game to PC, open the folder of the content mananger ...\PS Vita\Backup\APP\*randomnumbersandletters*\
Inside are all your games you have transferred to PC with names like PCSB*****
Find the correct one for the game you want (easily identifiable by the image in sce_sys) Inside is a folder for the save files. You can delete those files and transfer the game back on your Vita.
Depending on the size of the game this can be significantly faster than re-downloading.
