The templar parts can be cheesed in some way or form. The conflux parts are the hardest since you have to actively be killing enemies. When the templar is summoning the legions, jump to the hobgoblin sniper platforms and wait for the enemies to despawn/pick them off.

The oracle part can be cheesed by sitting on certain platforms so you can avoid getting killed by enemies.

The templar boss fight can be cheesed so where everyone is standing at the entrance or standing on a platform.

So anyone else thinking a fully upgraded Surls is gonna be too nasty for the Iron Banner? I imagine its slow fire perk will actually be beneficial there.

Anyone want to help a lowly level 20 character earn some stuff to get armor and such with light? I'd like to attempt the raid and other stuff lol.
 
Pocket Infinity out of the way, finally. Ended up soloing the nightfall just because I wasn't dying while working on it. Easiest Nightfall so far, easily.

I still hate how these exotics tie up my bounty slots. At least I hit 29.

Got caught doing a PE solo on Mars earlier. It was a "kill this target" PE. I unloaded EVERYTHING I had on him. I couldn't bring him down in the allotted time. So annoying. If I had one more person, it would have been a breeze.

Yeah I'm down for tonight, for some crucible too if you want for that bounty. Yeah those PE events that are kill the target are nearly impossible for one person to solo. I've unloaded everything I've had as a level 28 and they don't drop.
 
So how does Dead Orbit and other factions work? When I wear their gear I get points Dead Orbit reputation instead of other reputation marks?
For example- If I wear Dead Orbit gear and play a Strike will I get Vanguard points too?

Psn has been acting up a lot the past few days. Firm ware for vita just dropped. We think ps4 will be soon. Hoping the reason for psn being wonky the past few days is because of updates they are making to the backend systems to prep for new firmware.

I think it only counts if you wear their mark/emblem/armband/cape/thingie.

Probably, haha. Since most armor have very similar perks I would think Dead Orbit vs. the Vanguard/Crucible equivalents would be very similar. I guess it also comes down to looks -- the Dead Orbit armor looks pretty awesome.

In the long run though it probably would be good to have access to all the vendors just in case new stuff comes.

All Vanguard rep goes to whatever faction you're wearing. You'll still get Vanguard and Crucible marks though.

Hard raid is really fun, and definitely more reasonable at 30. Of course it's possible lower, but there's still a reason to get to 30 if you get the raid gear drops for it.

I made one character of each class to learn more about how they each worked (and just in case I want to eventually go for the Platinum). Of course these clan-based raid/strike trophies are now harder than the hard raid thanks to PSN's hot mess and Bungie's obtuseness.

I know that, what I'm asking is if I equip faction gear such as Dead Orbit and then play a strike or Crucible will I only receive Dead Orbit points only, or will it give me both Vanguard and Dead Orbit points?

With what happened with my hands today (I shut off Destiny about an hour ago and they hurt for a half hour after), I'm not sure I'll be doing the raid now. Like, ever.

Hopefully it's just something today.

Holy hell that's glorious. Hawkmoon renders me unable to get jealous of other hand cannons but I'm whatever is closest to jealous. Arc primary damage with that impact. Yikes. THAT's the next thing I care about acquiring, to replace The Devil You Know whenever the time comes.

No worries man! You didn't ignore me, phew ;) It's easy to get distracted when friends hit you up too, I was going to ping you for the heroic weekly and then two RL friends logged in and wanted to do it.

Isn't it the best exotic scout rifle? I would think it's just preference of weapon type at that point though I know there are certain perks that make some weapons stand out like Icebreaker. Is there even a consensus on the best two or three weapons? I know Hawkian is compiling favorites but that's not necessarily the same thing, usually there's a consensus on THE best weapons. So far seems like Icebreaker is winning in most minds.

So after hoarding a bunch of blues until after the patch along with two mail rewards, I had the best loot night of my entire Destiny career! Still no exotics but I got two legendary primaries (I finally got something flat out better than my lvl 16 or 18 rare scout rifle!) and a legendary fusion rifle :D One of them is Bad Seed Down and is what I have equipped now to try out Pulse Rifles and it feels similar to the BR from Halo :D The other legendary is an AR that has a name I haven't seen anywhere before but has the exact same perks and numbers as Shadow Price. The fusion rifle will get replaced by Pocket once I get it but it's a different element than Pocket so I'll likely keep it. Also got another legendary arm band...

Yeah we've been trying to get a PS4 normal raid going here for a little bit but PSN friend requests are completely fubar'ed and we can't link up. I'm trying to send you a FR but we've had no luck so far. I've seen a few pop up on my end then immediately disappear forever.

I have to do the bounties in order. So the 5 strikes without dying has to be completed first. Not sure if you and/or Ska want to deal with that. I want to see if Xur brings the Ice Breaker.

I don't feel so bad then if I, as a level 27, couldn't bring him down. I emptied my Swarm MG into him and it ripped apart his shield but, but the time I reloaded, he had taken cover and his shield had regenerated. So frustrating.

5:30pm CT again?

D: I have heard it suggested that you turn off rumble to assist with hand pain- try this before you play another second! And definitely take breaks during multi-hour sessions.

I'll be in there until I beat the boss or pass out. I certainly recommend carving out 2 hours or as much more than that as you can spare, just in case ;)

yea @ 5:30, we can do some strikes from the playlist. Also if we do the weekly heroic strike again it'll count as 2 towards those bounties. Nightfall counts as 3.

Taking breaks isn't too useful for raids.

And I can't play without rumble – makes the guns feel less satisfying to fire.
