I've never turned in 5 bounties at a time and i've gotten 6 exotic bounties.

Damn!! I have gotten two and both seemed to be after turning a bunch in at a time. The last time I know it was 5 but I am not so sure about the first time. I guess I just have to keep praying to RNGesus...

Taking breaks isn't too useful for raids.

The raid can be done via checkpoints- an hour a night over four nights for example. I would be happy to run with you this way if it would be helpful for the issue.

And I can't play without rumble – makes the guns feel less satisfying to fire.

SURELY that's less of a concern than your hands hurting?

yea @ 5:30, we can do some strikes from the playlist. Also if we do the weekly heroic strike again it'll count as 2 towards those bounties. Nightfall counts as 3.

Word. As I said though, no big deal. I'd still like to wait for Xur. If he doesn't have the Ice Breaker, I'll roll towards the Invective.

I say we start with the daily heroic on level 28 and see if it can bring me some shards. I have one more upgrade to go on my Lucky Raspberry exotic chest. That'll net me the 3 light needed to hit level 28 (and feel a little more confident on the raid).

Correct. I edited to clarify too, it's just Vanguard rep that will go to the Faction. You'll still earn Crucible rep separately. Apparently all rep.

False. No vanguard or crucible rep can be earned with a faction item equipped.

They come in all 3 varieties, I have 3 Swarms and they're all different.

I think VoG is a great foundation for the kind of PvE content that needs to be in the game from this point on. Some things need to be fixed along with the bugs needing resolved, but so far, I'm happy with the raid itself.

I am kind of upset the heroic raid is basically the same as normal except harder without battle rezzing and having enemies scaled to level 30. I would've liked to keep the battle rezzes, or make them less available as they are when you have to wait 30 seconds for a revive. I kind of expected the mechanics to be different. Examples of higher difficulties in raids I've played involve roles to be switched regularly or dodging new attacks that can one-shot.

I pictured a traditional 'hard mode' mechanic added to VoG involving the relic. Imagine playing heroic and anyone with the relic could only hold it for 30 seconds before dying. Or imagine if the oracles were different colors and everyone was given a 'color buff', meaning they were the only ones who could do damage to the oracle that shared their same color.

I don't think I'm sadistic enjoying mechanics like that since I've come to expect them from raids. I'd like to see what Bungie has in store since the sky is the limit.

That colour thing is a seriously cool idea. I'd love that!

If you're running sunsinger, this is probably the best exotic you can get. For me, grenades charge in 25 seconds normally (other gear included of course, but still) with this equipped and the other bonuses are spectacular. Plus, not too many people have it (until Xur decides to sell it- I kind of hate that), so it's fairly unique.

yea heroic raid drop last night.

precision kills make enemies explode and increase reload speed. it also has explosive rounds and bonus oracle damage

if this thing 2 shots in the crucible my SUROS is going in the vault.

Man the Firefly upgrade on that is fantastic. Coupled with Outlaw and Explosive Rounds, it's all beast mode all the time.

D: I have heard it suggested that you turn off rumble to assist with hand pain- try this before you play another second! And definitely take breaks during multi-hour sessions.

Turning off rumble helps tremendously. At least for me, anyway.
