You can climb the rocks and do that with any class.
You can, but you're still vulnerable moving from point A to point B, especially when rounding corners. It's a lot easier than the rocks.

I noticed during cave farming that Grimoire seems to count kills by those in your vicinity kind of like XP. I have 5600 kills as a Titan despite being a Warlock for example.

Remember Hunters- You are Not Your Subclass. Assuming you've leveled both fully (as everyone should), you enter any piece of content with the full suite of tools available to both subclasses- and both Arc and Solar grenades- at your disposal whenever needed.
As useful as that may be for that particular part, and while I do think climbing rocks is just as simple since you literally make two leaps to escape the maze, I don't think Hunters are as useful as Titans or Warlocks currently.

So I'm curious PS players.. how did the Dust Palace and Multi Player map wind up being?
I am playing the Black Garden. I found a hallway with a digital barrier that just pushes me away. What's that?
The leveling system in general in this game is bizarre. You only get good drops in high-level content and you can't do high-level content without good gear.
Also, if you ever want to replace one of your legendaries you could potentially go down a level and basically progress backwards.
Bungie should have looked at Diablo 3 for inspiration because this shit is whack.
But.. but.. I can shoot void rockets at the minotaur in the jungle portal for you!
I'm not saying that they are, only that they aren't useless as many imply.
I'm assuming you've cleared heroic then, right?
I spent most of my time last night trying to get past the gatekeeper part. Considering how easy it is in Normal and how the mechanics are the same, it seems like I might have to hit 30 before touching the relic again for heroic.
What do you and your group do? I know several strategies, but it seems our wipes boil down to not having enough survivability. We were all level 29.

Finaly got Torn. Going back to tower, decrypt blues : got Proxima Centauri purple scout. Nice. Crytarc levels up. Gives me a purple primary : Monte Carlo.
Now I have 3 primaries to level and still no energy shards. *first world problem*
I think they did look at Diablo 3. Unfortunately they looked at Diablo 3 May 2012 and not Diablo 3 October 2014.
My heroic raid group was made up of four sungsingers and two defender titans. For the gatekeeper section we left 3 sunsingers and a defender titan on the outside whilst the remaining sunsinger and defender titan went in, the defender Titan can place a bubble on the sync plate you're opening and act as a place for the sunsinger super to recharge.
For the final boss, you need two sunsingers and a defender on the outside and the inside so that they can spec for weapons of light to take out the oracles and supplicants respectively, since the damage penalty you get at level 29 against level 30 enemies is a real killer.
It will take you a few attempts, but with self resurrection and bubble speced for weapons of lights you'll manage it.
I thought the discussion was on why Hunters are more of a liability and why they aren't as useful as Titans and Warlocks with you suggesting they have uses, that honestly, are kind of minor compared to self-rezzing and giving BoL/WoL.
ha yep.
I can't wait to play Destiny November 2015
So i bought The Devil You Know and I don't regret it at all, 150 marks well spent (as if I have anything else to spend vanguard marks on).

Those rockets are the best rockets.

Skyline said they were useless, I said no and gave reasons. An argument wasn't even needed for this, I was just making a statement that isn't wrong.
Need two people for the vault of glass final boss?
PSN: Drubbed
Looking to start asap
The final boss is fine, which is why I didn't ask for final boss strategies. I'm assuming the boss fight is still the same as it is normal aside from the level 30 scaling.
For the two going into the portals during the gatekeeper parts, did they kill every enemy? Or did they rush to kill the gatekeeper and run in and out with the relic?
count me in, psn = leehom
I was lucky enough to get it for Vanguard Rank 3, it's an absolute beast. I got different Perks than the vendor one also; Rangefinder ( ADS increases Effective Range ) and Mulligan ( Missed shots have a change to return to the Magazine ), along with Flared Magwell for increased Reload Speed. So i bought The Devil You Know and I don't regret it at all, 150 marks well spent (as if I have anything else to spend vanguard marks on).
We killed every enemy in the portals, the amount of damage they do to you if left alone was too much for us to ignore them. If we were level 30 and able to take their hits we probably would have ignored them though.
He actually said:
"Its Raids where Hunters become rather useless. At least much less useful than other classes who can Sunsinger or Defend."
That said, it seemed you were trying to come up with reasons as to why a Hunter should be given as much priority as a Titan or Warlock because of how useful a Hunter can be.

I wish they would have one week where Xur would have some kind of "Special Recap Sale".
Where he would sell all of them weapons he has sold thus far.
I missed some great weapons sales like Suros Regime and Gjallahorn and now I finally have some coins for them.
Friggin sucks.
I am playing the Black Garden. I found a hallway with a digital barrier that just pushes me away. What's that?
Dust Palace is awful. Easily the worst Strike. The entirety of it is three different "stand here and kill things while your Ghost opens a door" parts then a terrible boss fight. The boss fight is actually three bosses, each of whom takes a ludicrous amount of damage and none of which have any interesting or unique characteristics. They're all just the same enemy you've fought earlier in the Strike, only now with shields and several orders of magnitude more hit points.
Shit. I hate having to kill all of them because it feels like it takes too much time. Also, the enemies will keep spawning in the portals at this phase, don't they? I know in the jungle part, hobgoblins will begin to appear once the gatekeeper is dead.
Did you guys just do that whole part normally where you kill one and then go kill the other gatekeeper? Or did you get one close to death, and then move to the other portal to get that relic, and then return to the previous portal?
Right. That's what I said.bad idea. DPS isn't the only factor. Sometimes you need to deal with the adds and be bait, so the team can win.
Very difficult, me (lvl 27) and two lvl. 28 defender titan friends were only ably to do it in one try because they popped up a shield that barely lasted long enough to killed the melee knights that charged us.
Pro tip: if you stay back in the shrieker hallway/entrance hall, Xyor will never spawn. You have to be out in the room.
Everything you said is absolutely true but for some reason it's my favorite strike and I don't even know why haha
Don't worry, the only gun that matters, the ice breaker, will be on sale tomorrow.
So I'm curious PS players.. how did the Dust Palace and Multi Player map wind up being?

First part of the same quote you gave. I apologize if it seemed that way and upset you somehow, but I still wasn't wrong.

I should've worded that differently, perhaps. But what I meant is that there is no benefit by having a Hunter in your Raid team, instead of an extra Warlock or Titan. The latter 2 will make for a more succesful team.
Which is sad because all classes should compliment eachother in this game. But in Destiny right now, a Warlock/Titan combo is simply better.
